yes it did. we need to take the name off of Kit Carson National Forest and name it for Native peoples. He was their friend, he betrayed them by helping to move them off their lands on the Trail of Tears. I know that the Indian School was a place of torture for Native children in Albuquerque I was happy when they tore it down.

@@davidhollenshead4892I think, (as far as I can remember), it's "Living DNA" genetic testing company that can pinpoint male's DNA to an actual village. It costs about £130 (I don't know the equivalent in USD) but it might be really beneficial for you to find out where you come from. As a female I can't get that information, but males can. If you want to find family you'd be better using 23 And Me testing site as that seems to draw many people from all over. I hope you can get tested 👍 They send so many family members, for example cousins, 2nd cousins, etc to your inbox and you can contact them if you wish. I can empathize, I was sent to a boarding school, and although you would hope it would be like Hogwarts, it was a military school where much of the same abuse happened. The problem is most were not there by choice, there was racism, and if you were gay, and it was suspected, well it would not be good. After I graduated, I only visited the place once, and I felt that's all I needed to; my heart goes out to all these people who suffered abuse, and humiliation. The wounds never really heal.

I am not going to deny, when you're that age, one may need direction, but a military school was not the answer; and unless you plan on going to a military college, going to a military school is not a practical choice. Many parents send the children to places like that, because they want them to be the good old fashioned country kid that they want, when I graduated I actually became somewhat of a Marxist sympathizer, probably not what he had in mind. In the United States parents are too afraid of their kids, especially when they become teenagers; your teens can end up being some of the best years of your life if you have the right environment, but when you don't, for many they end up being some of the worst.

Any man or woman, Priest or Nun, that would steal the innocence, the very childhood of each of these victims, means those predators are pure evil. It is just unconscionable, unacceptable, definitely inappropriate, inexcusable and unforgivable! How unfortunate that the predators responsible for all the abuse and pain were given the luxury of hiding behind the government and the church. The punishment for them should have fit the crime. Each abuser should have been shown the same "compassion" they showed those children. I’m so sorry you had to give through this. I would love to hear your story. I’m from MI I live in Detroit. I’m just now learning about this and it’s awful! So they had these in the US also?
