On a road vehicle, your typical air compressors are supposed to build up from 0 psi to 120-150 psi in around 6-8 minutes at regular idle, and should go from 80 (Low psi alarm) to 120 in under a minute while operating at speed or fast idle. I imagine that train compressors have similar requirements.
School should be teaching us how to do jobs and do taxes and do jobs learn carres not just sit there and teach us what number is let c like how are we gonna use those to do work

I fuel union Pacific trains and I have fueled this unit in Utah a few times!

How long does it take to build up air pressure?
Just a few minutes, unless you're charging a whole train, that can take a while, especially if you've only got one locomotive doing the pumping.

The turbocharger has an axial turbine, much like a gas turbine engine.
