The Light class was designed for noobs, extremely unfair with the OP Cloaking Device and Stun Gun.
@@vsapFlacko In casual play and low ranks, the light is seen as oppressive since nobody plays as a team, but in the higher ranks, light was just unplayable. And now more than ever, light is just not viable. This is coming from a high rank light main so I may be slightly biased. After these changes, as a light main, I'm going back to valorant lol.

The patch doesnt tell you this but they literally killed the dagger with the melee tracking change, its so bad to the point where you can now consider it unplayable.
Im waiting to play later and see how It affected the sledgehammer. It was terrible before, literally turning your camera 180 degrees to a jumping target that u cant even hit. Also they only autoaim the middle sight, and they dont take into account the weapons hitbox, so with hammer swing from left to right It would make you actually miss if u moved camera for the faster hit registration.

There's so many awful weapons and many so similar to each other (like V9F, M11 and silenced pistol being low-quality XP-54) but instead decided to make the FCAR more similar to the AKM.
yup. Closed Beta was insane. You ran faster, everyone was strong. It was chaotic fun. Now its just whos sweating and running the meta
They just buffed fcar, lowered damage to 22 per bullet and gave you 5 extra in the mag. A mag dump does more damage than last patch

The barricade change is a nerf for most game modes, but it's actually a buff for power shift, snipers could still shoot you on the platform unless you put the barricade on one of the side walls of the platform.

I have been maining akm in expectation for the FCAR nerf and here it is, akm is better now, higher dps and damage per mag.

@@mr.nihilistic the way im looking at it rn is that if you can manage the iron sights on the akm it is now just the best rifle for short to mid range, its got the highest dps(and yes ik its barely higher now but still), highest damage per mag(which is enough too 1 mag a mesh shield) and that massive mag that lets you take on multible targets and apply pressure.
So... they are balanced in pair?
@@maddog5284 the famas does more damage and rewards headshots over akm, the akm feels like a weapon on training wheels and does not feel like the powerhouse it was in beta, the akm might have a bigger magazine but still does less headshot damage and is iron sights, the fcar still is the highest dps respectfully and out ranges the akm

Everybody is so fed up with the meta. I feel the patch was underwelming and wont have too much impact ok meta. There will still be 15 unusable weapons and gadgets in the game. Lights glitch nade buff is actually huge, people are not realizing btw, the biggest of the patch with Fcar.

I realized this ages ago, I’m glad someone else gets this. I dropped the stun gun from my Light loadout in S1 because i felt it got me killed more than actually helping (aside from stopping a cashout/defib). It made more sense just to try and kill them.

When I saw those changes for the cloak and invis I got genuinely pissed off. The 33 percent taken off for the cloak is more than enough. I hate using vanishing bomb and that was the only thing making it still somewhat usable. Now u nerf that aswell??? Get out of here

@@TheAtomPrince I run into 3 mediums daisy chaining each other way more or a cash out surrounded by mines and 3 turrets way more often. Also I'm a light I usually hear the que and hunt down the invisible people and if I run into a non stealth team I'd die the same stealth really ain't that bad annoying maybe but I get called out in stealth all the time it can be that hard.
They need to buff the cloaking device. Especially now that they just nerfed the stun gun. Instead of taking 33 percent away each use it should take 25 or 20

With less and less damage every patch, the healind medium meta is getting way to hard to deal with.

That's the ONLY use for it nkw though. They should've kept the disabling utility part. Denying defib, heals and mesh was what made it so important for high elo. Stopping cashouts only happens 3 times in a game at most.
@@Cqat1 But the whole point of ranked play is to deny cashouts and get cashouts, that's the whole point. So it's still powerful without being overkill like it used to be.
I wouldn't say this specific use case makes stun gun a must take, I would even say that's quite a hot take. Whenever you a pull it off it has an awesome value, but this whole point of why you would take the gadget after the nerf can be countered by how enemies play while stealing the cashout. Look, if there are 2 or 3 competent enemies there will either be a shield covering the character who's stealing, or an enemy will bodyblock their stealing teammate. Either way you are unlikely to get the stun off. If the enemy is alone you just beam them in the head instead of stunning and you don't even need to kill them if you can't, you could stall the steal... just like a stun gun would. And what do you sacrifice for this chance of getting this specific usage out of stun gun? One gadget slot.
Overall, I would say that stun gun became much more of a niche pick and is not that viable as long as you don't look at it in a vacuum. Now I simply can't justify taking stun gun over either the breach charge, glitch nade or gateway.

Please, can you look at dagger, since update I think they broke the back stab meta with dashing. If you dash now, from infront of someone to get the backstab, it doesn't count as a backstab, even though it hit their back. please look into this.
I'm honestly happy with the changes, I think they should focus on light's mobility instead of cloak. It feels so cheap being invisible, stunning someone and then melt them in a sec with the MP5.... I'd say remove cloak but give them more and better mobility

Just can’t move as much during invis. Invis is anti-fun anyway so most people will be happy
invisibility is for being sneaky , quick in and out of fights for short period of time , not for ratting for whole match

The Devs appear to be centring the game around Heavy & Medium classes & are just continuing to nerf Light out of existence. At this point they may as well just remove Light class from the game & just have Medium & Heavy classes running around killing each other. What point is cloak & vanishing bomb if its even easier to see?? defeats the purpose of cloak/invis. The previous nerf to Cloak was already bad enough & way too much & now cloak just gets worse with this latest update.
I also cant believe they give cheaters a second chance and only ban them 7 days. WOW. PLS EMBARK AND EVERY GAME DEVELOPER. HARD PUNISH CHEATERS, NO OKE WANTS THEM, AND THEY ARE RUINING GAMING FOR ALL.
I hope that's a bait that has a purpose of catching more cheaters and banning them for good.

As someone who solely plays light the stun gun nerf is GREAT. There is no convincing me the gadget was fun for anyone including me using it. Not to mention light use rates are really high in casual because of things like stun, and new players getting stunned and killed is a great way for someone to leave the game. High comp lights hardly use stun anyway and glitch got a buff

There are like 5 high level lights and people don’t want a support light player that’s the issue, fun for me not for thee and the fact they just nerf everything instead of buffing anything in compensation, they say they have the statistics just make certain things just look more attractive and people have their preferred play style because that’s what this game should be..

As a light main, I think the stun gun should actually have it’s range reduced or kept the same, not buffed. It’s effect duration reduced slightly, and not allow specializations to be used. Everything else is perfectly fine.
After taking a break of this game as heavy main 3 months later the game feels so rough to play now. If everything is unbalanced then everything is balanced. Sucks they nerd everything to the point it’s less fun

Conclusion (TLDR):
While before the FCAR did do more Burst damage, it now deals a more lesser amount of DPS in exchange for more damage for each mag.

That barricade nerf is GUTTING, barricade was honestly the only reason I played heavy.
I din't even play light, but what they did to the stun gun that's just too much, it's basically does nothing now.
Yea, it already had almost no effect on the Heavy but sneaking behind another Light or Medium and preventing them from using invis/dash or from healing another player was (most of the times) a guaranteed kill. Now the only usage I see is preventing a cashout and that's it
The devs do not understand their own game.

Instead of GIVING A COUNTER TO INVISIBILITY, the devs just nerfed it straight into the ground. Tells you everything you need to know right there.

Stun gun change is great. The people crying about Lights being useless are outing themselves as low skill. I never use it and don't feel at a disadvantage. Lights should be competent at using movement to their advantage, not just crutching on smooth brain mechanics that only exist to appease the lowest common denominator.
You'll say that about Lights but won't mention the fact WHY the stun gun is effectively useless? You can now ADS while stunned, you can use abilities while stunned, and yet you're saying the people complaining about Light's kit getting put into the ground are the ones who are among the "lowest common denominator of skill"? To be a successful light player you need way more skill than you would need to be equally successful with the other classes. you could solo queue as heavy all the way to plat 2 with pretty much no pushback at all.

Lights are finally dead, thank god. Insane that people were able to queue into ranked with daggers and effectively throw rating for other solo queuers.
The sad part is that they’re still not evaluating rank based on performance so I think this change will have limited to no effect on ranked playerbase.

With all respect, healing beam deserves one tho. Playing against heavy with two pocket healers is painful and not fun at all.
@vd8033 if youve played any games with healers, you know to target one of them first. That way the other healer will try to heal. 2 people shooting out famages the healing beam

With all due respect. Spotting invisible players pre nerf. Was absolutely not an issue. The issue was those invisible players using a stun gun that was OP. Now that they have nerfed the Stun Gun. The invis nerf doesn't seem necessary. We will see how it plays out.... But have you ever heard anyone complain about the stun gun range? Lol they need to put a scope on the damn thing now. lmao

Awesome patch overall. Very stoked to get home and hop on tonight! So happy to see the stun nerf, it was so lame. Certain weapons have horrible hip fire so it was basically insta death if you were not using a weapon with good hip. The glitch nade buff is also has me pretty excited, should help a lot with shields.

Also how does cloak gain cooldown time last week and this week people can see you easier while cloaked. At some point, the devs just need to realize that adding cloak to the game was a mistake. It’s the next recon, I could see it gone next season
Never liked Fcar. Miserable mag size, stupidly high recoil. I'm more than fine with them making the gun more useable at the cost of damage
