I'm a medium solo, my usual loadout is either demat or heal depending on my teammates loadouts, goo grenades, defib and mines. I have a very defensive playstyle and it suits it really well. Goo grenades are, in my opinion, truly underrated. They have a really fast cooldown, allowing you to have maybe 7 or 8 goo walls before they break. It's really good for defending (both cashout and team), movement (you can create bridges, reach higher, block people, even clutch when falling off the map), it's also good for hiding when stealing a cashout (when you know how to place it), good for fleeing, it's genuinely decent against the loadouts I come across in my elo (gold-plat) where there are a lot of triple mediums that don't necessarily have an easy way to break it. It's not as strong as goo gun of course, but it's still great. I'm a goo grenade enthusiast so maybe it's just me, because I barely see people using it, but it's a must for me and I can't imagine not having it. It also replaces the zipline, it's not as fast or practical but it still does the job. Defib is obviously needed. And mines, it's just funny free kills, especially against Lights.
As a MGL32 heavy main who’s in diamond I feel like would love to see more fixes for the gun. So fun to use but the inconsistency of the explosions definitely are felt
You are a hero for using that weapon. So many of the off-meta weapons have consistency issues and I'm not sure if the devs just aren't focused on fixing those weapons or if they genuinely don't know because hardly anybody uses them. The flamethrower sometimes only deals afterburn damage instead of its full damage. The throwing knives will pretty often just not deal damage when it clearly looks like they hit. The dagger obviously has backstab detection issues. The riot shield has a bug where the shield blocks your face when you're holding an object. The riot shield is also pretty inconsistent with how it blocks explosions. I really want an option to turn off the aimlock on melee weapons because why is that even a thing. I'm sure there are more issues that need fixing which is why we need more people using these weapons.
I find it very stupid how glitching a shield doesnt glitch the players inside them, it would get rid of the dumb triple shield heal steal. Also i hope they do the exact thing u said about the rpg. 60 dmg, 2 charges. Would make the game much more enjoyable (especially as a light without a cloak, lol)
Honestly with the RPG just make it so you have to reload it anytime before you shoot it, just so there is some thought in using it. Removing a rocket launchers big damage just not really fun and is dissonant with its form and function. Completely agree with the glitch though, the impact on shields buff was great but that reduction in duration really hurt it too.
@@thetrueinferno7993adding a dogshit reload every time is even worse. Give it high arena damage with worse player damage. The reload just makes it useless whereas the two charges at least gives it a place without murdering it. An rpg in a video game usually also isn’t a slow piece of shit but at least 2 in the tube makes it worth sometbing

A thing I never heard in videos is, that you can barricade doors with the barricade. And because it is so high the enemies can’t jump over it, you just have to place it as near as possible to the doorframe. So you practically don’t need goo gun anymore.
goo gun is for the cashout itself, plus a lot more and theres probably an endless list of tech i could explain for every loadout and how to play with every gadget but those micro strats would take up like 2 hrs of talking and im tryna be concise, theres gonna be plenty of vids covering all types of strats and information as time goes on
i feel like if light's more "fun" weapons like throwing knives, sword, dagger, or maybe sniper got buffed a little bit they'd be used more in higher ranks. i feel like as a light you can't compete unless you are flanking with cloak since you have such low health so maybe if they could deal more damage with harder weapons to use like the ones i said before, they would be more likely to be in the meta. also cloak ability NEEDS a nerf
So basically, choose to lose in a competitive game full of a bunch of sweaty nerds. Why cant a game ever be balanced to encourage a variety of gameplay. Wheres the skill based rock paper scissors.
The off meta pick for heavy is my main build ... I like the flamethrower... I just dont have to deal with the good aiming stuff since i dont have a good pc
As a solo H/M player it gets really tedious to play with randoms against those metastacks, especially when I paired with two lights... I wanted to add some ideas for weapons: sledgehammer and flamethrower for H are pretty underrated but they're the ones who carried me for a long run, they pair greatly with goo gun as well; for M I've started to enjoy playing with FAMAS and AKM, they're maybe not as versatile as SCAR but they can do great.

My best solo q medium loadout: dema, akm, frag, glitch trap, defi Dematerializer is quiet good for movement within buildings and of course you can flank n pick that bastard healing them from behind Frag is a ton of damage if used correctly. It can multiple targets. Glitch trap will reveal sneaking lights creeping up on you, and it is your answer for dome/mesh shields. Defib is a must without a question on medium. Have fun!
I'm currently an almost top 2k player, been switching between medium (shotgun) and heavy (lewis gun) but recently I've been trying to use sledgehammer for the memes. It's one of the most fun weapons in the games and if you know how to use it you can steal cashouts surprisingly easily.

My and my other 2 friends have been stuck in plat 1 and are closer to diamond by playing the “I can’t aim starter kit” of turrets/grenade launcher and mines, turns out we messed up by trying to use skill and have to play like all the other idiots with the added edge of being actual good players
I really hope Embark balances the weapon ttk better because like you said the meta is stale. Being able to use most guns reliably with balanced time to kill would be HUGE. My biggest gripe with the game. Along with other things like how the fcar has better hipfire accuracy then the smg's in the game. I wonder why the fcar is meta and the best gun in the game?...😂 totally not abviouse...

I play as a solo light player and I live in OCE but I play ranked in NA (nobody plays in OCE) which means it is not possible for me to play dash. Any ideas?
Also, a question and maybe even a suggestion? I think stun gun is kinda "pointless" with sword, i think frag has a lot more use if you are running away, you can throw it and get some nice dmg so you can finish them off with a right click.
@@Appoh well if you are going with the sword picking people off, i dont really see a use for the stungun unless ur team is around. Since you will use 2 right clicks and murder them anyways, and the stun gun scope prevention doesnt help much, since you mostly hipfire on the guy with a sword. Not saying ur wrong its just my opinion :) tryina get some valuable info :p
@@SabanLeon i mean stun gun has tons of uses but making someone slow is extremely useful for the sword, don't sleep on it, although with 2.6 we may see a different situation

personally i think its catering to apex and R6 players but not CS or cod players. it has the expressive movement of apex and the map interactions of siege, which are both huge reasons for why i keep playing
Meta is why people scream at me to use defib even when using a turret/defense build. For the sake of not having peeps screaming at me to run something outside of the kit I want/is my playstyle, I hope the meta gets shuffled up.

A huge problem with this game is the community, a bunch of cry babies that whine when they don’t have the perfect team or whine when the devs nerf their class..

There is no perfect loadout for a L/M/H build it all depends upon ur play style and most importantly how you use it. Some people are really good with loadouts we think are shit. But pls dont bring a hammer to a ranked match those shield and distance wont last much man.
I am running heavy with granade launcher and c4 honestly the combo you can make to just drop your c4 and shot at it make me feel like playing mage/caster from moba game rather than fps game :D big weaknes of granade launcher you cant do anything against somone who go melee into you so you actually need to play charge n slam so you can somehow counter them in close . To make it more off meta my friend running light bcs sometimes i just need somone to finish the kills and light is perfect for that job . I do not recomend trying it first time in rankeds bcs its realy hard weapon to master .

Agree about the glitch nade, also the medium data reshaper should be able to reshape a dome shield from the outside.

Triple medium is the best rank combo in rank. They keep reviving each other over and over again. They need to nerf that. Light needs a hp buff
def the best comp for lower elo or teams with no coordination, very forgiving

No bro i use stun mostly for heavy since they take the most ammo to kill. If ur in the iron sight of a heavy u know ur fked if u dont stun them first
