David Hyde Pierce basically played the same character as the sitcom in Sleepless in Seattle with Meg Ryan. The only difference is that you saw his wife! Jane Leeves dated the actor who played Miles, Grant Shaud on the sitcom Murphy Brown before the role on Frasier. She married a Niles and dated a Miles! Wings was done by the same producers. Characters from Cheers and Frazier both visited! Fun facts! I did notice while watching the reruns that some of the voices sounded familiar! They played snobby so well. Snobby never looked so good on the Crane brothers!

I never knew that about the theme song! I knew Kelsey sung it, but not the story behind it. Very cool!

Great video, Ean! Still blows my mind that Lisa Kudrow was originally cast as Roz on Frasier. Glad things played out the way they did because I couldn't imagine Friends with Kudrow as Phoebe, although I do feel bad she filmed the pilot and Kelsey Grammer and James Burrows (the legendary director behind Cheers and Frasier) straight-up said they didn't like her. That must've been a hard rejection. I totally agreed that Peri Gilpin was the perfect choice and she made the role of Roz her own. And here's a little fun fact about Peri Gilpin: Her dad, the late Jim O'Brien, was a well-known anchorman/weatherman for the local Philadelphia TV station WPVI channel 6 (an ABC affiliate) back in the '70s. O'Brien died of a tragic skydiving accident in 1983 at age 43. Betcha didn't know that until now. Anyway, thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a spook-tacular Halloween month! 🧡🖤 Speaking of which, I have a very special request/suggestion for you. Would you please consider doing a "5 Things You Didn't Know" video on the Friday the 13th franchise in the near future?

Thanks for the info. I do feel bad for her but I think it worked out for the best.

*** Note: My comments will appear in order of the list -
    (5) I was aware that the show was going to have different concepts originally; additionally I was aware also of the Lisa Kudrow connection. The character of the radio co-host/ producer is Roz Doyle. The name of the actor who portrayed Niles Crane is David Hyde Pierce.
    (4) I do enjoy the show of loyalty and love you gave to the dogs whom portrayed Eddie; by the way of listing the principal cast, and then saying "and others" followed by an intercut photo of the dog. I didn't know that the dogs received the most fan mail of those whom regularly appeared on the show or the names of the dogs; Moose & Enzo.
My favorite characters on "Frasier" were "Niles Crane" (David Hyde Pierce) and (Jayne Leaves) "Daphne Moon Crane" I believe, that their (or perhaps better stated "Niles's" infatuation with and then later is true love love for "Daphne") storyline was interwoven so well (for the most part) in the shows through line that it (rightly, and correctly) actually became the true backbone on the entire series.
    (3) I did know and Kelsey Grammer appeared on "Wings" as Frazier Crane; however, I haven't seen that particular episode, I have seen clips of it. And I didn't know that Kelsey Grammer was nominated for an Emmy for that appearance.
    (2) I did know that the radio callers were famous people, ENC, I have a suggestion:
Perhaps in a move to play off the fact that "Frasier" was undoubtedly the best, most successful and (maybe I'm not sure) longest running spinoffs of all time - might I suggest a "spin-off" of this five things you didn't know presentation; a presentation wearin in more detail and rank your top five celebrity callers into the "Dr. Frasier Crane show" This would be future spin-off presentation is bound to Garner a lot of traction and comments given it's relevance and close connection with "Frasier" and celebrities. Remember, both the viewing public and algorithms seem to really enjoy celebrities. And if this presentation ever occurs; all I I would ever ask for in return is a; mention in said future presentation.
    (1) I very much enjoy the ending credits theme song to "Frazier" as well. It's catchy, it's not overbearing. It's like a nice after dinner mint, Kelsey Grammer did a wonderful job with his lyrical performance; conveying just the right nuance.

Eddie is great and all, but who sends fan mail to a dog?

Tommy Hilfiger? That was Kevin Bacon.

So if NBC had gone ahead with Kelsey Grammer's original idea what was going to be Roz's role?

Who played Frasier's mom, Hester Crane? That would be none other than Tony Soprano's mom, Nancy Marchand.

Maybe I heard it wrong but the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist is a medical degree and I believe Fraser and his brother Rosa had medical degrees but of course I could’ve heard it wrong or understood it wrong. Just me I did learn some new facts I never thought of about Fraser before thanks another good video

Frasier's brother's name was Niles and, yes, they both had medical degrees in psychiatry.

Very interesting. That is right and I think they were psychiatrists and not psychologist. Good catch!!!!

@@retrocereal I didn’t want to nitpick you and wasn’t 100% sure myself but it just seemed that they were a lot more educated to do what they were doing. Psychologists are good but psychiatrists can really get down to the nitty-gritty in theory. Maybe they can help me with my invisible hippopotamus :-)
