- The Monte Verde site is one of the most important pre-Clovis archaeological sites in the Americas. Located in Chile, an extensive deposit of organic artifacts were preserved giving archaeologists an unparalleled glimpse into the lives of the Late Pleistocene people living here. Carbon dating at the site showed that people were in South America 14,500 years ago, well before the Clovis culture. In this video I flintknap a replica of one of the points found at Monte Verde and discuss this incredible site.

Hi Silas- I love the archaeological commentary that you provide on these videos to accompany your excellent knapping demonstrations. Thank you.
Your videos and chipping are top notch. Thank you for the content. I have fallen in love with flint knapping the past couple months.
Great video. You always have incredible content and I really appreciate this resource for my knapping and knowledge of these cultures.
i really enjoyed watching this! your videos are jam-packed with information and i’m very grateful that you make it free of charge and easy to access.
I always enjoy your videos. It seems that your discussions as you are knapping transport us to the time and place. Thanks
Really cool, I have been enjoying your knapping videos. You seem to have a really smooth technique. I would like to know where you are getting the larger antler billet? I have been looking but haven't had luck finding any. Keep the great work coming.
Thank you! Actually I was in Maine about 8 years ago and there was a guy selling moose antler at a roadside stand, wish I’d had more to spend but I got that and a few other pieces
Awesome video but atrocious sound quality. Your mic is not working well.
