I just have to say, the girl is teaching herself to sew, then makes a darling dress. She hand washes her cloths, yes, hand washes, with a wash board. I thought I had seen everything when she was spinning her own yarn, then weaving things for herself and others; building her own house; climbing mountains to pick flowers, baths in the river. I mean, is she amazing or what. AND her camera work and editing is truly breath taking. Thank you Isabel for what you give to the world. With love from Arizona.

Hi Isabel, for someone who lives in a country that still washes a lot by hand, and grew up washing clothes by hand, I love to see you doing it, a few tips, don't stand on the side of the washing board, stand behind it, put the water tub in a higher place, put some water in it, wet your clothes, then take the bar of soap, and pass it all over the clothes, on the board, make movements from top to bottom, the clothes will finish faster and will be better for your back.
Logan has been such a great addition to these vlogs. His energy is similar to Isabel’s, but he’s also calm and grounded.
This has to be one of your most beautiful pieces. Your shots of nature--took my breath away. Your sewing adventure and your willingness to do it without patterns or instruction. Your relationship, ever deepening with Logan. Your love and ease with one another is stellar. When I started watching this video I was so full of negativity and with each minute of watching I could feel the negativity fade. By the time I got to the part where Logan was complimenting you on the beautiful dress you made my heart was open and I began to cry. Thank you for this I really needed it!

A truly magical video filled with so much beauty. I’ve been very sick with Covid for the past week and have been feeling buried in work that needs doing…. Laundry, cleaning, cooking, the house is a disaster… but all I want to do is let go and enjoy the beauty of the world again. Well Isabel, you’ve reminded me that I can do both! That it doesn’t take long to step outside and breathe in fresh air and watch a sunset. Thank you for reminding us all what the purpose of living really is.

I live on the edge of a beautiful Canola field in the prairies of Manitoba Canada. We are part of a small village, have holding tanks for water and septic that has to be hauled from the nearest town. The fuel costs are $160 every 3 weeks for water alone. Last week we found an old well about 400ft from our home and holding tanks. We purchased 400 ft of hose and are now able to hook up to the well to fill our tank. When you can appreciate lifes necessities in such a way, it opens the mind and allows patience and understanding in other situations. You don't really get that until you have to work for the things we would otherwise take for granted. The septic we are still trying to figure out a safe and more natural way to deal with it. Septic fields are no longer to code in the municipality 🙃 we are considering instead a composting out house for the warmer months. Trees we need more trees also so the planting will begin this fall likely. My ramblings are my way of relating to your world. Offgrid or country living truly is a lot of physical work and can wear the mind if you aren't ready for it. Love the hair cuts guys! Always enjoy your videos 🥰

✂️ Once you've taken off the length of your hair. If you slide the elastic off but hold on to the ends- aim the scissor ends up into the fanned out bunch and lightly trim. This will even out your ends so they fall into a more even length in a more natural way. THANKS! For another awesome video!! Logans' cut looks hot and I can't wait for his new music 😍

Congratulations on the first sewing project! I started sewing at the wee age of six when my Grandma sent me a tiny but actual sewing machine. My Mom let me use it with her supervision. I made dolly clothes. I'm 58 now and once worked for over 25 years in the garment industry as a Production Pattern Maker. I can make almost anything the body can wear.
Sewing for me is a form of art and also cathartic for the soul. I hope that you will feel the same way too.💜

I did & feel just makes more sense to leave them whole since the soil can support the growth & you will have higher yields in same amount of space. Berninas are great machines. I have had that model for over 40 years and it is still perfect. Make sure you get it serviced every once in a while or it will slow down and become less easy to handle. Is the attachment table missing?

I taught myself to sew when I was fifteen. The patterns will teach you how to sew very effectively. Keep up the good work
Isabel! Don't ever get rid of that Bernina sewing machine! They don't make them like they used too. Definitely worth it to service it if it starts acting up! My mom has something similar. It's still far superior to a newer model she has. And it's over 30 years old. And we use them several times a year sewing our dresses :)
I agree, excellent, excellent machine and the older all metal Universals are also a great keeper.
I grew up off-grid in a log cabin in the woods of Maine that my whole family built! And, this makes me miss HOME!
I know exactly what she’s saying about appreciating the little things, clean well water etc!
I’ve missed that way of life and wished to go back everyday since 🫶🏼
