Part 35 - Revealing Mystery Moulds I found on Gumtree

- This is the series where I reveal what is inside these pottery moulds I found on Gumtree.
The story goes, I found a listing on gumtree for pottery stuff. When I arrived the seller said 'I have all these pottery moulds would you like them as well?' and I said 'why not'. On the way home, I had the brain child to do a social media video series revealing what each mould is.
The mystery is in the fact that I had no idea what I had said yes to, some of the moulds are labelled and easy to tell but some of them are a little more difficult. The beauty is that all of the plaster moulds surprise you no matter the presentation of labels, titles or identifiable surface inside.
So come join me as I dive into this series and share the mould fun. I would love to hear any information you may have on the moulds and to let me know any stories you have that the moulds remind you of in the comments.
Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe!

It’s a pasta plate! Foe eating pasta without the sauce running off the plate!
Or serving pasta/ sauce????
Yes, I thought so first too, but I normally see pasta plates with a little higher edges.
I’m so impressed by all of your creations I can’t stop watching. 😊
I would have never have thought to add macarons to this! It looks wonderful! I actually quite like how the colours turned out after they changed, they remind me of the sort of colours you find in vintage lustreware and I love it 💖
Seeing the bits of clay removed with the rubber kidney is so satisfying!
Add the mushrooms to match the mugs.
Good idea ! Selling it as a set would also be a good idea 😉
You’ re always such a joy to watch. The plate was adorable and creative, good on you for staying so positive all the time. We appreciate you.
I use very course sandpaper glued to a board to rub the base of my plates to make them level I also have a medium sandpaper on one for greenware sanding to bottoms level
I knew it was gonna be a plate but was hoping it'll be flower shaped or something else different. I love that you added the macarons to it. I wonder what else you could put on the plates. such a simple mould but a nice one to get creative with 🥰❤️
I love how you adorned such a basic plate! I bet they would be absolutely stunning with your floral painting on them also, I can totally imagine having one hanging on my wall as art!
There is something very satisfying about how smooth the plate is when you first take it out of the mold. Love what you did with them though!
Agreed!
honestly it's been so cool to watch you grow as an artist! at first i was curious what the mould would be, but now i'm more curious to see what you would do with it.
Absolutely adore this! You could also do macarons as ceramic ring boxes. I can see a dessert plate series with different French patisserie. You pronounced macaron perfectly btw. Such pretty colours! As a dessert person I'm sold!💜💚💛💙
Adorable. All of your videos brighten my day.
Just in time for lunch!! 😂♥️
After watching this video - especially this project - I hope some big or bigger food business/company/restaurant commissions you to make something like this for them. I am enamoured with this piece not so much as something that I would use personally but as something that can be used for display in a store front. It looks so engaging!
The regional gourmet restaurant uses such "unique" dishes.
Your creativity is amazing to watch. So unique. Love it. Thanks for sharing
I think this is so far my favorite piece !! I am a macaron baker and love that you added the handmade macarons the way you did !! Love this series too btw !!
I think this was a huge success! When the real desserts were on it, it was a seamless transition, and I could hardly tell where the plate ended and goodies started! Now I’m hungry for some sweets!
The plate is almost as cute as that cheeky scene of you at the end!
I have the perfect pastel collab for you, some one who loves pastel plants pots and quirky pottery. @pretty pastel please. I could see some of your quirk pieces in her plant room!
Hundred percent, Alex would love her stuff. If she is in Sydney too it might be possible. I read she is in Victoria so that might be hard. I don't know much about Aussie geography but I think Sydney and Victoria are not close. I just watching Shelby but I think they would get along smashingly. She could also collaborate with Sam she could make something cool and he could do the metal work for it.
I have no intention to revisit ceramics but I have watched so many of your videos. I just love your beautiful voice and exuberance. Watching you just puts me in a good mood.
This plate design is super simple. I love it. I think it would make a beautiful set coupled with the handless tea cups that you painted with native Australian flora. It's a perfect blank pallette.
Those macarons looks perfect and absolutely delicious - and I say that as a 67 years old colourblind mechanic.
Ya know, I was wondering why you were leaving all of the fillings white as I’m used to seeing it in a darker shade of the same color as the outside, “cookie” part. But then once I saw the yummy ones you got from the local bakery, it all made sense!! Hahaha. (You’d think I’d know to just trust your process at this point, right?! Hahaha.)
I was thinking the same! I usually see the fillings as the same colour as the rest of the macaron 🤣
Shelbythat is such a beautiful design for your plate. A high tea plate! It could be used for so much. Well done. Excellent!
Such an original idea. Thank goodness it looked so good after all your hard work, the colours are very convincing.
Paint with speckles would look nice
Adorable!!! Such a cute little plate. 💚💜💛
By far my favorite piece of yours! So pretty and unique
I love how those colours turned out!!
Spot on! I love this!
One of my favorites!
Thank you so much!
I can't believe I have only just found yr channel. 🎉🎉yea me!! I love yr joy you put on yr brush even more than yr colors.
We received a lovely gift from a new neighbor....a large box of macarons. How fancy!! Special!!
You're so creative! I love watching what you come up with it, can't wait to see what's next!
That’s so cute. What a cute idea.
I can't wait to see!
When making real macarons isn't enough of a challenge for you. 😆
I absolutely love watching you sculpt. The mold reveals are wonderful, but seeing you make a production item so personalized was super inspiring.
This channel materialized on my for you page one day.
yummy idea & the result is so satisfying!
Very nice :) and I want to eat all the goodies, clay and real ones! They’ve all been baked after all 😂
Love! Love! LOVE!!!
I love that we keep seeing that mug from one of the other mystery moulds!
You can do so much with that blank plate. Love what you did with it!
eggs
That is so cute!
Really fun idea Shelby!
So adore watching your work. You are just a wonderful talented young lady. This plate is just Beautiful! Mrs.Shreck😊😊
Shelby this is absolutely perfect!!!!!!
Cutest plate EVER. ❤️
That is brilliant!

Very generous sized macaroons !!
Your brain surprises me every time! So cute. How yummy were those macaroons! ❤️
This turned out to beautiful
Thank you so very much!
Gorgeous piece
bloody love this plate!!!
I'd love to see a series with different cakes and biscuits etc on, eg party rings, oreos, jammy dodgers, biscoffi, fortune cookies etc 😋😋😋
Love this!!
a gorgeous plate, and Mrs Brownes goodies look incredible :)
Beautiful!
It turned out absolutely adorable
This turned out really lovely!!
I love this series so much
Thank you that means so much to me!
when you opened it I thought of the tea cups you made a few videos back!
Oh my gosh! So true!
Perfection!
This looks so beautiful
Love this sweet little plate
so so so so cute!!
Love it 😍
I would love to have one of those plates. So darn cute
Me too! I love it so. Somehow I can see this as a jewellery display. Patisserie dessert plates for your jewellery.💙💜💛
Yes! So much yes. Perhaps some variation with cupcakes?
Not my favorite but I absolutely love watching you grow in your craft!!
That turned out beautiful x 💖🇮🇪
Thank you so much!
That is a cool idea.
very cute idea
Adorable!
Next time you wan't to make a macaron shaped circle use cling film on top of the clay before pressing the cookie cutter into it. This will give you a rounded edge on the unpersönlich side instead of the straight edge.
I like it. It is very pretty and I would love to have it as a serving plate at a tea party.
Super cute!! :)
That looks amazing, and the macaroons look delicious 🤤
I need this macaron plate!😍
I finally caught up!
It reminds me of a pasta or spaghetti plate. Not too deep, but deep enough to have sauce with your pasta.
This was so cute! 🥰 I love macarons 💖
Yay this makes me so happy!
It’s actually really cute!
The stained colored version sound prity cool maybe show it on another project, if you haven' already (catching up at the moment.
Go together with one of the furniture flipsters and make plates in coordinating colours, or decoration.
Your mistakes and self forgiveness are appreciated! ❤
It’s beautiful! You’re so clever! I did want to ask if you could turn on captions for this video?
I wonder how you could have achieved the typical "foot" of a macaron in clay. It'd be interesting to see that texture.
I've never had macarons, actually, they've always been too expensive near my house, and I don't have the kinda equipment to make them at home (no oven).
I bought some for the first time recently. They definitely were expensive so I set aside money ahead of time. They are very good!
I’ve never had them either! While I’m sure they’re very good, I agree that their rather expensive. Maybe once I’ve tried one, I’ll be willing to pay that much for them, but so far I’m good. Hahaha.
💖💖💖
❤❤❤❤❤
Nice
Gorgeous
I would have kept the base rim, always gives the plate more lift
This is incredible cute
The cream should be gold tinted😊😊
After you pour it out how long do you let it sit in the plaster cast? Every time I watch these videos I'm always curious how long it takes.
I'm French and you pronounced macaron the right way! "Macaroon" are coconut cookies not the colourful sandwiches 😆
Could you have painted them first and then use the glaze to stick them to the plate and each other?
