Dont forget the 357 sig is super reliable in feeding due to its bottleneck design.. Which is huge for a defensive use carry pistol 😁
VERY underrated comment
357 Sig, an awesome caliber that has actually lived up to its hype.
Imo it’s the best pistol caliber ever made. Other rounds may excel here or there, but overall it’s the GOAT bullet.
10mm but for cc I say 357
Definitely my new favorite carry pistol it’s fun as hell to shoot ammo is pricy as hell but worth it cost me god damn $40 for 20 hollow points lmao
The 357SIG Ammo Is Worth Every Penny
Value Your Life
Great gun. I've never NOT had people in adjacent lanes at the range come out and ask "what in the hell is that thing!?" It's a thumper! Loud. Big muzzle flash. Not considerably more jumpy than a .40 but high on theatrics. The ballistics aren't even a little bit close to its peers. This thing is a vaporizer. In a category all its own. Sticky grips are a must.
Glock is keeping the sig alive like it did the 10mm. I thinking time 357 sig and 10mm will be KINGS
Tennessee State Police carry the G31 .357sig as well.
hi Justin i put 357 sig barrel in my G27 and i love shooting it.. thanks for the vid.
I can remember at an indoor gun range, I was shooting a 1911 .45 acp & a Black lady was shooting in the lane next to me. Everytime she fired the wall shook. I asked her what the Hell you shooting, she said .357 Sig. Muzzle blast & pistol rise, not to mention the loud crack of breaking the speed of sound kinda turned me off to the round, & I LOVE big bore big bangers, & carry a .357 magnum alot & Love my .44 magnum, revolver's of coarse. I've never warmed up to the .40 S&W either, shoot a 10mm. But as a carry gun I personally doubt I would find it preferable in a semi-auto. But I still carry alot of .45's, so I guess I'm still just old school cool. Something about the straight push back of a .45 acp vs something as jumpy as that. The .357 magnum revolver is still the street king of stopping a bad guy fast !
The 357Sig is my mountain carry. We don't have Griz. The round much like the 10m gives you an extra 75 yards of range. There's a lot of criminal activity in the mountains. Mj and meth = men with rifles. So I appreciate the added range when I'm out rock hounding. Under rated but my favorite auto caliber.
.357 SIG in a baby Glock?? You're a sick man, Justin.
I had one of these, and it actually hurt my hand joints to practice with. Felt like shotgun recoil to the shoulder, but in your hand instead. One of the reasons I got rid of it, besides it being too small for my giant XXL paws.
Its not the medium between .40 and 9??? Where the heck did you get that idea, it was designed to meet the ballistics of a .357 magnum 125 grain, it has the punch of a .40 pushing a generally smaller/ lighter projectile at higher velocities. It would be more like the medium between the .40 and the 10mm....smh
You can get a 135gr at the same speeds in 40 as the standard 125gr 357 Sig. Just depends what people want.
The Underwood XD rounds have me interested. 2100fps with more ass behind them than usual boutique rounds.
dannysees underwoods .357 sig loads have about 15% more energy than their .40 loads. They are not comparable rounds when you’re comparing manufacturers and the hottest loads.
dannysees but that 135gr 40 cal Bullet will give shallow penetration due to its poor sectional density when compared to a .355 caliber 125gr Bullet.
@@Aaronb2245 physics indeed... thx
Well he did make the point of the bullet being basically a 9mm and the case being .40 so it would be normal to want to place it between them, though it's typically well above both in muzzle energy. Give him a break, he's one of the good guys
Sure was glad to see this video. I have the Glock 32 gen 4. For me the forty cal. has more muzzel flip and the 357sig comes back into the web of my hand a tad more. I love the 357sig ca. Far superior ballistics. Waiting to see if Glock is going to come out with a gen 5 mod.33.
I love the 357 sig round
Virginia State Police use .357 Sig as well.
and the Secret Service
Tennessee Highway patrol as well.
Excellent video and compliments for the split screen of the target when you're shooting.
Bought a conversion kit for my Sig P226, got 1400 fps with that Elite ammo. The bigger heavier gun handles it well. Secret Service and air marshals use .357 sig. Thinking about getting a Glock 32, better suited for this caliber.
I tested the 40 Smith & Wesson with the 9 mm and a 357 sig. I believe a lot of these for enforcement agencies went to the 357 sig. for penetration properties which are completely outshines the 40 Smith & Wesson and for that matter the 9 mm outshines The 40 Smith & Wesson. And some penetration test on CZcams Kentucky ballistics shows that some of the 9 mm outshine in bio shine I mean penetrates deeper than some of the 10 mm loads. As did the 357 sig. have better penetration Then the 10 mm in the same full metal jacket offerings from Underwood. I’ve been shooting 10 mm now for the last 10 years and for the last three I have become a big fan of the 357 sig. great round. Also great video and thank you for your effort’s
My first of many Glocks was a 33. And yeah she is snappy. Thanks for doing this vid.
You betcha. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video ! The round, the guns, made for this round are very good. I believe a persons belief’s are important relating to this rounds performance. Long live the opinions expressed ! Long liveSig Sauer and GLOCK 😊
Good info thank you for the video I’m actually buying one tomorrow.
Love my XD .357 SIG....I have started to reload it to save money, case prep can be time consuming but like anything once ya get rolling it goes pretty quick.... BTW the PPU ammo is rated at 1500 fps and 600 ft lbs hottest factory ammo I have found thus far
Cool video! I enjoy your reviews! I usually watch your Videos, Hickok45, and Sootch to make a decision to purchase firearms👍. As of last year Texas Troopers switched back to 9mm😒 I love 357 Sig, it’s what got me into reloading 👍
Seems like every baby glock I’ve ever fired has been extremely accurate.
Shooting Sig's 357sig... Through a Glock. Awesome gun, great video 👍
Thanks for testing my favorite round.
Just picked a 33 up... look forward to seeing how it runs
Nice vid.i had one of these over a decade ago. Sold it to reduce ammo complexity. May have to pick one up again.
Why? Because it is substantially more powerful than the .40 S&W.
Sorry to tell you this Justin, but you are absolutely mistaken about this being a cartridge that is between the 9mm and .40 s&w. The .357 Sig loads are all significantly more powerful than either of those two cartridges. For example...
Typically speaking, the .357 sig will be traveling 150-250 fps faster than your comparable 9mm round of the same weight.
Federal HST 9mm at 124 grains at 1150 fps= 354 ft.lbs
Federal HST 9mm +p at 124 grains at 1200 fps= 396 ft.lbs
Federal HST .40S&W 180 grains at 1010fps = 408 ft.lbs
Federal HST .357 Sig at 125 grains at 1360 fps= 513 ft.lbs (that's at the low-end range of the .357 magnum. Most loads of this round exceed 500+ ft.lbs of energy)

Thank you for this post
North Carolina highway patrol use the Sig 229 in 357 sig.
357 sig is just a marketing term, it is really a 9mm magnum. Early weapon designers (Mauser, Tokarev, etc.) already realized bottleneck cartridges get you more pressure. Now if someone made a 357 sig carbine, that would be a great idea.
Thank you
I feel 357 Sig is a much superior round compared to 40 S&W.I have the G32 gen 3 and it's my favorite handgun.I'm sill debating on adding a duty sized 357 Sig,either the G31 or Sig Sauer P320.Tough choice.
garageguy879 I can't speak for the glock.... but I've got aP320 chambered in 357 sig. it does fine with ball ammo, but every now and then with hollow points it'll mis-feed and push the projectile into the case
I've got also got a Sig 320, and you should get a full sized 320 instead of a G31!
Didn't you hear about the Army experiencing failures with FMJ's, so they were going to start using JHP, because those didnt give problems?
Whatev's... I've never experienced any failures! I suggest that you get a full sized 320, though. I have two; you won't regret it :-)
Justin Todd army can’t use jhp. It’s against Geniva convention
Go with the m&p
Civilian #72583119 OMG... Research it! The Hague Convention prevents JHP rounds from being used; not Geneva, HOWEVER, the US never signed the Hague Convention, which is also NOT even enforced!
Here, I hate arguing this so I grabbed this for you...
sofrep.com/73676/big-story-armys-modular-handgun-ammo-hollow-points/
For what it’s worth, the new ejector design on the Gen 5 G19 seems to have fixed the brass in the face problem.
.357 sig jhp will open up in the short barrel. That's why I switched to it.
I thought about going the 357 Sig conversion route with my Glock 27. Thanks for the vid Justin!
That size would be better for the round. The baby is a bit snappy.
Justin Opinion the 27 is the baby glock 40, same gun.
My 27 gets converted to .357 sig for woods carry. It is very penetrative round in hard cast and I figure that would be better than .40 for CNS shots on a dangerous critter like a large hog or black bear.
Love my g22 converted to 357sig, my winter carry. Not cheap but I practice a lot with my g17 so feel is similar.
I stop what I'm doing and forget about responsibilitys when a new review video pops up from you. Greatly enjoy your channel man. Could you get hands on a xd 40 mod 2 service size or sub-compact. Thinking about getting one next month.
I have the old style XD-40 and the Mod2 in .45 (sub-compact). Doubt I'll have the Mod2 in .40 anytime soon, but if chance brings it my way, I certainly will share! Based on the .45 ACP I can tell you it's a sweet gun. Thanks much for the very kind words!
Why wouldn’t you carry a .40? Because the 357 sig outperforms it in every way.
You've convinced me to go for this over the glock 36 and 32
Good channel. Obviously in this case the first thing you want to comment on was that the energy of a 357 sig is above a 40, but obviously everybody has already addressed that, thank you!
Two observations about shooting it, one is you can put in the 40 barrel and use and therefore pay for 40 ammo, you could throw in a 9 mm conversion although you're dealing with less reliability, or with the money you save from using 9mm, you can purchase a g26 and shoot that more at the range, with maybe a few full power shots thru the G27 before you go home
I have recently added the G33 to my collection and its also my edc. The 357 sig round does have its pro's and con's of usage. I personally like the accuracy that it has plus the penetration it offers as well. Some say its snappy but with practice I have become just as confident with this round as well as the others I have tried. I have also tried a few different brands of ammo and have found that underwood is my favorite. I will change barrels to accommodate other calibers but the .357 sig is my go to on self defense. Do your research on this round to see the advantages it offers and I have just recently switched to the .357 sig for its advantages. The ammo is more costly but the protection to me is worth it. I have also changed guide rod and spring to 22 lb to help with the recoil and I will say this is one bad azz little EDC that I love. I use the Vedder light tuck IWB holster to conceal this little beauty and barley notice its there. Nice video on the first hundred.
Stronger spring equals more chances for gun to jam... NO THANKS!
@@JimBobe Spoken like someone who knows just enough to be dangerous...to himself.
@@onlyonecannoli3952 Correct
It's not gonna jam with 357 sig.
As a Glock 31 owner I can say this Sig 125g ammo is great and usually the cheapest online option for fmj. First time I've seen you shoot a 40/357 pistol. Congrats. I bet a few more hairs sprouted in your chest.
I carry a G27 with the .357 Sig barrel and I also own a Sig P229. I love the round for the defensive capability. I am learning to reload it and it is a little more labor intensive.
The Hogue grips also work very well with the Glock’s .
My favorite compact Glock is the G30. Will look into G33 though
😎😎
To anybody with magazine extenders/extensions for the Glock 33, gripping the handle real tight will move the top of the magazine forward inside the gun resulting in failure to feeds. Just my experience at the range, and it took me a while to figure out what was happening. I thought is was the ammo at first but after firing the same ammo in a different gun I found out that it wasn't the ammo. Loosening my grip a bit (Pinky finger)solved the problem, but the first instinct with the G33 is to hold it tight because of the recoil. Just thought I'd share that.
Thanks for the info
Reloading may be a pain, but it is worth it. Think of propelling a 125gr Gold Dot or FMJ at 1,500fps (from my stock Gen 4 Glock 31, at least), all at 34,000psi (lower than a standard pressure 9mm), and for a price of between 8 and 15 cents per round!
The cool thing about this particular Glock is that you can load a 40 cal round in the mags and just swap out the barrels and it’s a 40
Wait what I just bought this I didn’t know that
So all I need to do is run to my gun store and get a barrel for a 40 cal Glock let’s say a 23 and I could run 40 ammo as well??
@@lilfetus2974 I'm trynna figure the same thing out jus put a 40 mag n my 357 sig works fine
@@Lilrickyyy I couldn’t tell you exactly why the .40 don’t fit but it dosent lol I already tried
@@lilfetus2974 swear and u got a g33? I know the g27 40 barrel fits
Great trigger press sir.
I like to put my left index finger on that groove in front of the trigger gaurd when i shoot my g33. Makes a big difference.
I started out with a 9mm, but I actually enjoy the blast and flash of .357 Magnum lol. It's fun! But the ergonomics of revolvers don't work well for me. So I'm now considering a Glock 32. And because few people want to shoot it it's still available even now in August 2020 with all the craziness happening.
I EDC a G33 with a G32 mag all day.. been doing it for the pass 3yrs.. did great with in the 2 yrs, but now with this damn C-19 BS and Ammo going through the roof.. a $1 a round is a little bit pricey...
Try the Underwood 125 or even 115 grain. Plus a Glock 32 mag with X Grip mag sleeve really makes this pistol rock
This caliber is worth getting if you are willing to order the hotter rounds that it was designed for. PRVI Partisan offers a 125 fmj flat nose rated at 1500fps. Underwood offers a jhp at 1500fps. I recently got a 357SIG barrel for my full size P320. The self defense ammo I have so far is the SIG V-Crown I found in Academy. I will be ordering the Underwood. My intent is to get a subcompact 40 conversion kit and put a 357 SIG barrel in it.
That sig ammo makes over 1400fps in the G31 (full size g17 size gun).
Yep - great ammo. I have found it to chrono right on the money to published velocity too.
Love that round I would invest into it more but the ammo is $35 a box for target ammo. But on the positive side I can get 20rd boxes of Sig V-Crown for $16 a box.
I love my glocc 33
PA State Police use the Sig P227 in .45 acp. Their guns are pretty sweet, they have the state police logo engraved on the slide. Personally I think .357 sig is a phenomenal round for law enforcement, especially state troopers. State troopers work around cars and trucks a lot so better penetration on windshields and metal parts like car doors is important.
TheKeystoneKid PA Game Wardens use the GLOCK 31 in .357 Sig.
I think law enforcement should be limited to 5 shot 38 special.
like the 357 SIG A LOT
...just got HKVP40 w/ 357 barrel to go with my Clock 33 and 31/ The 357 Glock 31 is a very accurate pistol. will be testing my HK soon. xtreme punch in this cal.It is my preferred highway caliber.
Have you ever tried the Agrips? That seems like a round and a gun you better pratice a lot with. You clearly are an expert and if you are bearing down that hard to control it then it must be difficult. Maybe the glock 32 would be a better option.
Because the .40 goes 150-200 fps slower and the .357 basic loads are at 500+ ft.lbs.
Love the .357sig round. I currently have a Glock 33 gen 4 but recently picked up an M&P Shield and a .357sig conversion barrel. Cant decide if i want to sell the Glock 33 or not. I personally think anyone shooting this round should reload it because of the high price at a lot of places or the lack of stock. I pay roughly $10 per 50 rounds reloading it.
I was considering the Glock 33 because of the .357 sig option, but currently I have a Glock 45 and a M&P shield and I never touch the Glock. What was your final decision on this? Keep the Glock? Or convert the shield?
@@reactionsb1 i would say convert your shield because it will be cheaper since all you would need is a barrel. Your .40 mags will work with .357sig.
I EDC my G33. Snappy but potent.
The .357 has more than just some law enforcement support; it is currently either the most used or second most used handgun round in federal and state LE agencies by personnel/number of handguns issued. For state police forces, not only do Delaware and Pennsylvania use it, but Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, New Mexico, the Texas Rangers, and Montana do as well, just to name a few. On the federal side, the Federal Air Marshalls, Treasury (Secret Service, Mint Police), and Coast Guard all have it as their standard round. In 2015 is was #2 after the .40, and behind the 9mm, and now .40 has fallen behind it. Whether 9mm has passed it yet is not known due to the data not being available.
This aged poorly lol
357SIG Is Superior To 9MM
Always Will Be
Just Because New Public Servant Officers Cant Handle The Power Of 357SIG Does Not Mean 9MM Is Better
357SIG Is A One Shot Fight Ender Even In 2024
Just Because A Cartridge Costs More The Agencies Are Factoring That With The Life Of Officer Safety, If Officers See Their Life Should Be Protected With Cheaper Ammunition Be My Guest Carrying Cheap 9MM
Over Superior Performance 357SIG That Costs More
Pennsylvania state police traded in their gen 4 glock 21’s in 2014 for sig p227’s in .45acp also because the glock grip was too big for female shooters and smaller man’s hands. I actually own one when they surplussed them out with all the markings. Some police in west pa use .357 sig.
Even though I'm kind of intrigued by 357sig I think that .40 is better bc ammo is less expensive, more available, and theres more variety of bullet weights.
Make no mistake i have a Glock 32 Gen 4 and it is snappy. Not really in to baby I'm a compact type of person. The only problem i have is no one is really carring the 357Sig. I really have to go online to find ammunition. I like my 32 i also own a Glock 23 Gen 4 40 S&W and i love that gun. Thanks for the review it was great like always.
Academy Sports carries 357sig round in Federal 125gr.
Last I checked, VA State Police and Richmond PD use .357 Sig... out of Sigs 😉
.357 Sig is a great round!
I would like to see more videos about the Sig P320 357 Sig. I have the 9 and 45.
Hello, you started out @ 10 yards with the orange dot. How far from the hostage taker were you ? Cause that was some good shooting.
Underwood makes decent priced loads pushing 1500 fps and 600 ft/lbs at the muzzle. I think the 125 grain Gold Dots run like $18 for 20 so not too bad for defensive loads. However, just plinking cheapest you can find is like $.30 a shot which is about $.08 more than what I pay for Brown Bear .223; so yeah hobby shooting is kinda ridiculous with 357 Sig, but defensively besides a 357 magnum, no other better performer when it comes to a realistic carry option.
Now they are 30 for 20 rounds yet never in stock
Nice shot
And I’m a fan of 357 Sig
A snappy, but fun little devil! I split the difference in sizes & settled on a G32. I also had a G23 at the time. I shot the G23 & the G32 side by side w/a timer & found I was quicker in between the targets & more accurate w/the G32.
I carry a Glock 27, but when I hike it gets a .357 barrel and Underwood loaded Lehigh Xtreme Penetrators coppers. I also don't find .357 sig to quite as snappy feeling as .40 in hot loadings.
That first shot alarmed me for some reason lmao
Here's what people don't understand about .40 S&W and .357 SIG. Let me preface this by saying I carried .40 S&W exclusively for almost 8 years. That said, a .357 SIG is NOT halfway between a 9mm and a .40S&W. The reason I say this is also why I don't think the argument makes sense that, since it has the same capacity, why not carry .40 S&W?
The answer is that .357 SIG is much more powerful and much more effective in incapacitating people. What people don't understand is that mass and velocity are both important, but velocity is much more important, so a .40 S&W-sized case can drive the smaller .355" bullet much faster than a .40" inch one on average. Name me a modern self-defense rifle caliber that doesn't have a bottleneck design based on this theory? Moreover, it technically james less because of its bottleneck design (not that straight walled cartridges are unreliable).
A study of I know of that compared 1800+ bodies, not ballistic gelatin but actually human bodies, compared all the major calibers, and .357 SIG was just as effective as center fired rifles. YES! Why? Because the latter overpenetrated and dumps more of its energy.
In fact, the .357 Magnum and .357 SIG edged out shotguns for incapacitation! The failure rate was as follows: 9mm (13%), .40 S&W (13%), .45 ACP (14%), .44 Mag (13%-again, overpenetration makes it no more effective than 9mm on average), shotguns, 80% 12 ga. (12%), and centerfire rifles and .357 Mag/SIG all tied at 9%. We're not talking about huge differences, but is 4-5% worth you life? Well, if you think there's a best caliber between 9mm, .40 and .45, then yes, it's worth it because .357 SIG is even better than .44 Mag.
Again, we can talk ballistic gel tests all we want, but this is what happens after looking at 1800+ bodies. THAT is why the US Secret Service carries a SIG p229 in .357 SIG, and that's what I carry with Underwood Extreme Defender rounds traveling at 2100 fps delivering 636 ft. lbs. of energy.
Sorry, but this bottle neck design with 357sig jhp, causes more jams and ftf than any handgun calibers! The bullet design, load, and shot placement also come into play among other elements which you neglected to contrast with your bias thoughts. At the end of the day, a 22lr to the head is likely to be as effective as a 44mag to the head.
@@BDAILY365 I have found that to be true, only in glocks though. My sigs haven't shown any trouble with the round but, I've had 2 32's and a 31 that are not reliable with good defensive ammo. The round that causes the most trouble with glocks is the gold dot loads. I think the single biggest problem is the feed angle of the glock. In feeding, the slide is only hitting the uppermost part of the cartridge rim and the cartridge profile allows the top cartridge to nose dive as it goes over the shoulder of the next round down in the mag. When this happens, the bullet of the round being stripped slams into the front of the mag, the slide goes over the rim, then the round usually pops up, bullet first, and the slide nails the cartrige at the shoulder. Glocks are the only guns I've seen have trouble with this round and it's almost always with the speer bullet
You got a link for that study? I ask as someone who carries and loves his .357 Sig. I have taken many deer with .357 Sig (factory Gold Dots and my handloads of 125gr Gold Dots at 1,500fps) and .45 ACP, and hunted with others who have used 9mm, and both the effectiveness and speed at which the .357 incapacitates deer is in an entirely different ballpark from 9 and 45. Ever since then I have trusted my Gen 4 Glock 31 as my do-everything handgun. In fact, it's the only one I own now!
@@al01100 Yes, my 357sig glocks don't cycle defensive loads well as you've shared. My sig229 is what I had similar jams with 357sig defensive loads as well...did seem to be feeding a bit better than glocks though.
Interesting, some of my jhp 9mm reloads dont feed at all in all my 8x 9mm glocks when my other 9mm pistols fed fine. The angled glock feed ram is the culprit. The other pistols fed more horizontally.
Not true a centerfire rifle will smoke any common defence handgun caliber in lethality, that overpenetration myth is pure bs.
Just an FYI Justin Opinion: the .357 Sig velocity was PROBABLY tested at 1356fps out of a 4.5"-5" barrel, but a G33 has like 3.5" barrel so you're probably only getting around 1250... That's still fast as Hell, but it isn't 1356.
I had lots of hardened primers with sig elites
Underwood has a fast gold dot 357.. but for the price, and for practice of course the sig ammo is prob the best
I've never shot 357 sig but, I have shot every other pistol round including 357&44mag; I'm contemplating getting a Glock33 or G30?
Go with glock 33 glock 30 is a .45 caliber
.357sig = 9mm " Magnum " IF Loaded to SAMMI SPEC or slightly Greater.
25 to 30 round for range ammo. I wish prices were still like that.
I vote for Underwood Extreme Defender ammunition, a quantum leap forward in terminal ballistics.
nice video....
is 357 sig also suitable for defense in the forest against game - dog, wolf, bear? Thank you for your feedback - I don't want a 44 magnnum caliber
357sig is not "between" 40 & 9mm. (in size maybe). But, It's above them both. faster & harder hitting than the 40. for sure. (9mm too). Use the 33 with the 9mm coversion barrel for some practice, site in & practice w/ the 357sig. with less ammo if you have to. I say, snappy ? who gives a damn, blow em' up !!! flat shooting ! accurate. Try the Sig p239 in 357sig. a little bit of a difference there. easier control, less recoil. Men & women spend more $$$ on bowling on a weekend. I'll spend the $$ on the 357sig ammo thanks.
Nice video as usual Liked & Subscribed.
You say use the 33 w/9 conversion barrel. Can you do that in reverse, say if you bought the 26 then use a conversion barrel & make it a 357sig. And switch mags. of course.
No, {the 26 slide is too small to accomodate a 33 or 27 barrel} Glock 33(357sig) , you can just switch the barrel with the 40cal. (G27) and vise versa. If you buy a Glock 33 or a Glock 27 either one, & then, buy a 9mm "CONVERSION" barrel, & use your G26 9mm mag, your done, it's now a Glock 26.
{ 3 guns in one. }
( NOTE: Glock 33 & 27 mags are inter-changeable with each other already )
{& you may or may not choose to switch the "Ejector" { not extractor }
( most people find that not necessary). Watch some you Tubes on the subject.
TN state patrol use it as well I think.
Any other malfunctions after the light primer strike?
Hey Justin.....................In your opinion, which round causes more wear & tear on identical guns.............40 S&W or 357 Sig ? Or more simply put, What do you think will last longer without a major component failure.............A Glock 27 or 33 ?
Thanks and have a great New Year.
Thanks - same to you! To your question, I'm not expert enough to know, but would think the wear would be very similar. Would come down to which gun shot the hotter load for the caliber or was not as well maintained, I think.
Physics say the .357 sig round causes more wear and tear if shooting standard loads because it has higher pressures ( psi and breech pressure). I’d say you’d definitely notice more wear and tear in a g33 than a g27 with the exact same round counts and maintenance. That’s my personal opinion and I’m no expert either, but it makes sense
I got mine in 1999 " and i use to run alotta carbon threw it ' 125 gr " I AM 100% POSITIVE IT WILL DEFINITELY ELIMINATE THE PROBLEM AND I CAN REACH OUT THERE WITH IT " VERY FLAT TRAJECTORY "
I'm not bad mouthing the 40.In my town a store owner shot guy coming at him with a knife with a Glock 23 40 cal 3 times and none of the rounds seem to penetrate very deeply one actually got stuck in his belt.I feel a 357 Sig would have far superior penatration than 40 no matter how larger heavily closed someone is.I am selling my 27 and getting a 33 for my EDC. I did try putting a beautiful stainless steel Storm Lake conversion Barrel in my 27 but it would not even feed so I'm just getting a 33 I own a 32 and love it it's just a little too big and uncomfortable for concealed carry to me.
U sound like a idiot its rounds in 40 cal that hit just as hard as 357sig like 125 grain Underwood in 40 coming in at over 1500 fps or double tap ammo wit ballistics at 21 inch come my way underestimate the 40 if u dare.
You don’t use a conversion barrel in those... you just use the regular barrel either way...
I like this one because how compact it is and the caliber that’s it glocks are over hype there’s no glock out there that straight from the box can shot any kind of ammunition without any major malfunction there picky with ammo too
The way that baby whistles in this video around 4:15 gives me a chubby . I love my 33 bt I usually run the .40 barrel in mine
Would I be correct in assuming that the GLOCK platform in general is not your favorite handgun platform? It seems you are more fond of the .357 Sig cartridge than you are of GLOCK’s. That is my personal feelings of the two, I may add. Nothing wrong with GLOCK’s, but they’re definitely particular amongst themselves.
Oddly, if I shoot Glocks exclusively for a period of time (like prepping for a GSSF match or something) I get in the "Glock-groove". I actually like Glocks a lot - but they are not always my favorite in certain calibers. I do like the curious .357 SIG cartridge though, and plan to do a video just dedicated to it.
Just get the 27 barrel and you have the best of both worlds
I think I would want a little longer grip, with that snappiness...
Agree. The G31 or G32 would be a much more pleasant gun to shoot. That extra inch or so at the bottom makes all the difference. Might try to get an extended mag with a sleeve, that could really help also.
Dude, your trigger reset, or lack thereof, is killing me.
Nice gun. I carry this gun and love it. Sig Sauer ammo is not rated up to the 357 level. You need 1450 fps for a 125 grain bullet. if you're going to make a video at least you should know what you're talking about . It's obvious you're beholden to the Sig Sauer ammo but underwood is much better.
