- Univ. of Idaho President Scott Green said the King Road house where four college students were killed last year needs to be demolished before the trial of suspect Bryan Kohberger, saying it is to "allow the collective healing" of the community. But criminal justice experts say the move is a mistake if the jury wants to view the crime scene or if questions arise in the prosecution's case against Kohberger. *** PLEASE SHARE THIS VIDEO ****

I think justice is what allows healing. Destroying evidence isn’t the path.
Amen sister ! Exactly right
I agree
Green acts as if the house gone will make everyone forget everything. Meanwhile B.K. is sitting in the jail minutes from the university and schools watching t.v. .
The president of Idaho being so adamant of it being demolished makes me believe he is involved in this case.
Another Crime Channel found out its the Presidents home where he grew up.
Why isn’t that path at least being rigorously investigated?
The collective healing should be justice for the victims first!!
Yes!!!
I think folks should start calling Greens office on Dec 26 … NON-STOP!!!
What’s the number?
@@ilenhalogram don’t know. Look up university of Idaho call and ask to speak with President of University … Scott Greene
There’s just something so suspicious about the house being turned over to the university and the stuff taken out of the house in the back of a pickup truck, and such a rush to tear it down. Very unsettling
Exactly!
On POINT!! 👌🏻
Cover up 100%%%
Your gut instincts are usually 80-90%, I agree with you.
To me this is an indication of how deep the cover up goes.
The university is favouring the needs of fee paying students, over the needs of the victims' families. $$$
The fact that house is unusual & uniquely designed should have been enough for it to not of been destroyed until justice is served.
Thank you Chris for standing up for justice for these kids!!! We’re behind you!!!
I don't understand how the house can be demoed before the trial!
I don’t understand why they can’t be patient and leave it be until the trial is over and done with.
Juror’s won’t be able to stand on the hilly area behind the home and see the house! It’s a HUGE win for the Defense!
Thanks Chris for calling out the University. I signed the petition to save the house, but I don't think that is going to help much. Something doesn't sound right. Destroy a crime scene before the trial! I smell a rat.
Totally agree. Leave it up there is No healing garden that will be better than justice for those kids.
Sounds like it’s about enrollment…not the victims
This trial is taking too long.
No university is above the law…. Time for politicians & regents to get involved. Once that happens a university president doesn’t empower themselves.
Amen 🙏
Why can’t the judge order it be kept until after the trial?
Something wrong at n Moscow university 😢
Something is strongly wrong with this University, how the law have been protecting and covering up and committing murders 4 decades) this dark stuff been going on for centuries 😈👀👹😳👺🕳️👓👓🕶️
Let’s be honest, this demolition is NOT about Mr. Green wanting the community to heal because if it was he would understand that neither the community nor the families can heal until justice is properly served. It is a selfish act in hopes to increase enrollment at the school.
Unbelievable! Why the rush, the case is not finished and the trial not even completed? Unbelievable!
$$$ I bet
I don't care how many times the prosecution visits the property. If tearing down this building causes him to get off because the jurors can't get answers to questions that might arise, shame on them. It's honestly disgraceful.
What is the hurry to demolish it?
How will the University feel if this guy walks? The safety of the students and justice for the victims should come first. Put up a large fence and allow the matter to be settled as it should.
I feel jurors need to walk through the house to really experience and feel the horror! 3D Models, etc are accurate but easy to “detach”from!
Me too!
I agree. Also, what if they want to stand outside the house and perhaps count the seconds it would take to walk from the patio to up the hill in the back. Or what if they wanted to walk from the back to the front door, etc...
That building needs to stay
If the university wants to honor the victims and their families they could struggle through until the trial is completed. The victims are owed the respect of keeping the house intact until a verdict is reached!
The University has proved THROUGH THEIR ACTIONS that they don't give a fig about the victims' families, which is why they're tearing it down to get student enrollment back up so they can make those big bucks again.
In the name of justice, the house has got to stay!
What’s best for the community is justice for the victims not demolishing a key piece of evidence that may have a huge impact on the outcome of the case before the trial even starts!
I think they are missing the point. This home should not be torn down till after the trial it is the real EVIDENCE, not a 3D model of the house. After the trial I believe everyone including the family’s will be in concurrence with the house being demolished. I know this is hard especially on the neighborhood to see this house daily, but I bet most have the bigger picture in mind I know I would if it were me. Justice for these beautiful souls.
If anyone doesn't want to look at the house then don't. Those innocent kids were slaughtered in that house. It shouldn't have anything to do with other students, It's evidence.
I am so angry after listening to Scott green's letter, how the DA office agreed to this is beyond me. Even Mark Geragos the famous defence attorney said the destruction is a win for the defence!
Justice should be priority then healing.
The world is watching….would you send your child here? I wouldn’t
No way! There’s many other mysterious deaths of students they sweep under the rug…it’s unreal.
NEVER
Heck NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
The school and the law need to think about these poor students who lost their lives!
Amen! 🙏🏻
That is the biggest piece of evidence
Care more about $$$$ than justice? Dont send your child here.
IMO the university wants this stain off them, THEY are the ones hoping for a “collective healing” 😤 destroying that house and evidence is unreal to me. I hope someone is able to stop this.
if the university are saying the reason is because their community wants it then maybe someone should start a petition
Xana's Mom has a Petition going around
There are petitions
I have never seen anything like this with a case. Unreal.
I can’t believe the prosecutor didn’t object to the demolition.. sus
I believe they have solid evidence in the form of candid pictures!!
I pray the families can do something to postpone this until after the trial.
Lifting prayers for the house to remain, it's evidence. The four Students 's lives were stolen. The President of the University grew up in this house. I think since the FBI were uncovering the tunnels that , has a part in the decision of tearing down the house.
Too bad the students don’t demand the house stand until trial is complete.
It is total idiocy to pull that house down,!,
Should be criminal to take it down before trial-s
It's only going to take one juror wanting to go to that house that won't be there....
shame on them
This is not relevant to the topic, but it must be said. I'm a native New Yorker and one look at that house alarm bells went off. That building was so "porous" it was ridiculous. There were so many security red flags. Lack of window curtains, being just one. Chris, if you or someone in L.E. could compile a guide to personal safety for young people going out into the world on their own it could save lives. It could be digital and available to all universities and colleges.
Kids can move out if the area if they want, if its hurts their feelings so much. 100% support keeping the house.
Why is it they can't wait? What's wrong with waiting until the trial is over? Wow...
Thank you Chris! 🙋💕
It makes us wonder about their real reasons.
Hello Mr. McDonough.. Thank you for your non stop dedication and work you put into every case. I don't know if you realize how important you have been and how much of a difference you make for the better. People like you Mr. Chris are rare and you are appreciated for all you do and represent. Thank you.❤
Sounds like a cover-up to me! Imo
Outrageous!!!
Thanks for keeping us informed. Sad they won't wait for the cause of Justice.
I truly do not understand - why would it hurt, to wait a little longer.
What's the big rush????
Exactly
8:30 UNBELIEVABLE! WHAT A CARELESS REASON FOR A HASTY DECISION TO DESTROY POTENTIAL EVIDENCE AND INSIGHT ONCE THE PARTICULARS OF THE TRIAL ARE UNDERWAY. THE RESIDENTS OF THE STATE SHOULD BE OUTRAGED AT THIS INAPPROPRIATE DECISION.
Tearing the house down before trial may backfire on the university and actually hurt future student enrollment. It looks and is callous not to care about justice for Kaylee, Maddie, Xana and Ethan first.
Absolutely. I would never let my child go there. UI doesn't care for it's students.
Good point. 💯💯💯
@@MartiniKelly ❤️
@@nonamninom9344 gtsy…I wouldn’t let my child go there either. Sadly, the students aren’t as much a priority as the dollars.
Thank you TIR for addressing this issue 😢
Carefully considered. Ironic that this statement was from the President of a teaching university. Why can,t a judge request it for evidence?
On the Facebook page for the Kaylee's family, they have reposted not only your video on the house being demolished, saying some valid points were raised, but also a link to a petition to keep the house from being razed. If even one family wants the house kept intact at this time, shouldn't the university oblige?
Yes!
The school is beginning ridiculous! What’s the problem?
Covering up
Thanks! That police force seems to be covering something up.
Chris! I love your passion on this topic!!! Unbelievable!! The families feelings are not respected!! God forbid this type of tragedy befall any of the powers that be!! Shame on them!!
Chris I hope and pray that house is not taken down!!
U.of.idaho determination makes me wonder why...
The state could have filed an injunction to stay the demolition. I don’t understand?!
I signed the petition!
House should stay up until the trial is over 100%. Would a jury prefer to walk the house or see a 3-D model? All about the university’s image and the additional costs for security. Everyone already knows about it, anyone thinking about going there knows about it, it really doesn’t change much so leave it up imo.
I 100% agree. Besides, the number 1 reminder is in town sitting in jail.
Excellent points and I agree with you, this is crazy. The house needs to stay until after the trial.
I smell a rat in this case
Crazy. Leave the damn house alone until the trial is over.
Omg. If I was there is US I would lie on the ground in front of the house. They must stop it.
So good, Chris! We are living in the upside down. When feelings trump facts in a court case, we are in trouble as a society.
They need a petition against this decision
There is a petition. 2 petitions
If the defense lawyers and prosecution find it necessary to visit and examine the crime scene would not the jury also be afforded the same opportunity in the name of justice? Do not demolish the house.
This is bizarre because the university wants it torn down yet it's the scene of a major crime that has yet to go to trial and one in which the FBI just returned there to do further investigation after the earlier time frame to demolish the property was delayed. So what happens if the prosecution presents evidence or information at the trial not known to the defense and the defense team wants to return to the crime scene for further investigation like the FBI did, but the property is no longer standing? Similar in the Alex Murdaugh case.
Great question..
Seems so odd for the rush on this and if this is the Univ. Pres. childhood home, even wilder. what's his deal in any of it?@@TheInterviewRoom
...sad.. let's pray, justice can still be served..😢
As a juror I would have wanted to know if the cops in Banfield could have heard the the murders
There is absolutely no substitute for the jury visiting the crime scene ~ no model, video, or photos compare remotely to seeing the house and grounds and ingress / egress. Chris, I’m not sure you’re correct that the court lacks authority to order the scene’s preservation, but with no opposition from the defense or state to the demolition, the court is not going to because the court isn’t a party “advocate.” The fact that the DA isn’t opposing the scene’s destruction worries me hugely for the road ahead. There were so many blunders in the beginning from them (and police - like declaring there was ‘no threat’ when they had no idea who killed the kids). It makes me wonder if they have serious trial experience or are bothering to seek advice from more experienced death penalty prosecutors. It’s mind boggling that they’re okaying this. ~ Thanks for what you do! Please bring Gary & Ann back soon. :)
I would hate for him to get off. Because they didn't have evidence that they need to convict.....😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
imo the University is afraid they will be sued by the parents. And, imo, they should be. Cover up and make it disappear. There are several concerns.
Unbelievable. Speachless..
Very fishy that the school wants it torn down ahead of the trial. Just my opinion. Very fishy.
Merry Christmas all from Perth Western Australia
Merry Christmas to you from Nashville, Tennessee, USA 🙂
I hope they wait and don’t destroy it till after the trial. Happy Holidays
Save it for evidence for god sake
Sounds like a cover-up move.
This is IMHO a harmful move for the prosecution. It may be that the University Board have monetary interests and pressures.
Yes
Keep praying everyone!! Thanks for the update, Chris!💕
IMOP, the powers that be are hiding something..
Look at the jurors from the Murdaugh case. I think the site visit cinched the verdict
I believe 2 or 3 jurors that spoke after verdict said (paraphrased)after visit they were convinced of Murdaugh's guilt.
Who would want to even live on that site if they tear it down and build apartments. Not me, nor would I let my kids going to school there. It will be a generation or two before that site loses its stigma. Just my opinions.
@@tonystevenson26 me too. One of the scariest books and movies I've ever seen and I thought Steven King was scary.
The house should stand until the trial concludes. Taking the house down will not erase the awful things that happened at 1122 King Rd. Nothing ever will. This town and university will be forever linked to these brutal murders. There will be TV shows and movies made about what happened there. Remember the Amityville Murders ? So do I. They can't restore the image of the town by tearing down that house, but they can help to ensure the victims get justice by leaving it up for a relatively short time, until justice is served.
How would Scott feel if it were his young adult who died there? Or if it were his young adult who was accused?
That's exactly what I just thought
To me, it wreaks of a cover up. I have seen a lot of cases as an average viewer but have never in all my years seen the secrecy level intertwined within this case. The house should stay but it won’t. Such stupidity to not keep it up. Shame on the Chapins too. Yes, I said it! I mean what is 6-8 more months of keeping it standing. It makes no sense!!
Exactly
They are many homes that stay so something is up with this case
Whose the father
Of the guy arrested?
Shame on them. As part of alumni families of my kid’s colleges, if this was one of them I would be having a little campout in front of that flag.
You are absolutely right Chris!
Super suspicious‼️
With that kind of psycho response, perhaps Scott Green should be considered a suspect. Since he grew up in that house, he certainly would know his way around it even with all the lights out. Also since he would have been approaching from the rear of the house, he would not have been able to see that there was 5 cars in the driveway.
This house used to be three separate apartments
So the house is very different today than it was back then
It's because Mr. Green is uncomfortable that it is comibg down. Suppose the defendant walks. The possibility of trying someone else is gone.
They are protecting Sigma Chi and the U of I's reputation.
It’s got nothing to do with Sigma Chi in my opinion. 😢💙🙏
It's a mistake IMO. Should be left until after the trial.
The house is still full of secrets....Why on earth tear it down before a trial!??.....crazy!....Love every single show Chris
I agree. Why were the Bodies of Tylee and JJ denied burial for so long? Evidence
