It's now coming out now that Sebastian did access the internet and did communicate with gamers when at Seth's home. If I had to wager a guess I'd suggest he left the home in middle of the night, walked to that construction area, and was picked up by someone he thought was going to "help" him not have to go live at Seth's house. He didn't want to go there. Disrupting a teen's entire life like that with a complete move to another location, school, etc., is difficult enough when they're not autistic. Sebastian liked his routine, his home, his bedroom, his dogs, his pets, his neighborhood, his school, and his friends at that school. While he may not have been crazy about Chris, Chris wasn't at the home very much at the time Sebastian left. Sebastian didn't have the wherewithal to think through the consequences of getting into a vehicle with someone he truly didn't know. The young teen girl in Houston had left her home, too, without her mother's knowledge or consent and then encountered two guys who lived at the same complex who took her life. Teens leave home. I think the elephant n the room is that none of the parents are saying out loud that the reason Sebastian might have left home was because didn't want to go live with Seth, which was just weeks away from happening. Hey, in the absence of any other evidence or information, just my thoughts.

I think the biggest degradation of our society began about 7-8 years ago & it’s worsening quickly. When loud people start denying concrete facts, as they are today, we are in trouble. Also, it’s astonishing to me how some people come after others unprovoked and without a good reason. Those people are not on the same level as all of you and their deficiencies are blatantly obvious. I wonder if he was considering whether he was prepared for a spur of the moment opportunity to bring home a victim. When i think of cover, i think of having a cover story of some kind. Stockholm syndrome makes me think that he was considering that this would maybe occur with a prolonged period of capture, regardless of his plans for the end. Maybe it was to remind himself to not let his guard down if a victim appears to be compliant, in case she escapes. Just my own speculation.
