- A 9-year-old girl was sucker-punched in the face by a stranger inside New York’s Grand Central Terminal. She was in the food hall with her mother when out of nowhere the assailant attacked her.. The usual victims of sucker-punch attacks have been young women who say they were assaulted as they minded their own business. However, the latest victim in the sucker-punch epidemic sweeping New York is shocking considering she is a little girl.
The person who authorised him to be able to walk free should be flung in a jail cell with him.

For real. We do not hold judges accountable for whatever reason. Some of the most treacherous crimes in recent times have been committed by individuals who get released when they shouldn't, or even when they're on bail. Our court system is a sorry excuse and a terrible shame to humanity.

We don't want rehabilitation. If we did, prisons would operate very differently. We also wouldn't be using private prisons that profit off of high crime and recidivism.
The current system does not believe in rehabilitation but rather separation (from the rest of society) and punishment, for safety reasons (because it doesn’t believe in rehabilitation) and to serve hard justice.
Why would the system or law allow this man to walk freely after he was proven to be a danger to the society? Clearly jail-time doesn’t do anything to change this man.

I was a sucker punch victim in a Boston store back in 1989, about 35 years ago. I was 22 and beautiful. The guy was angry and looked to be in his 30s. I was doubled over in pain. People ignored the battery, and just continued shopping as if nothing had even happened. The scars remain.
