  • Happy New Year! As we step into 2024, Australia has introduced significant changes in its migration rules. In this video, we'll break down the key points and discuss how these changes might affect you, whether you're a student, a work permit visa applicant, or someone eyeing permanent migration to Australia.
    🇦🇺 Student Visa Updates:
Slight increase in required English language proficiency (6 to 6.5).
Post-study work visa duration reduced from 3 to 2 years.
Future migrants must carefully select programs and pathways for smoother migration.
    💼 Work Permit Visa Changes:
The 482 subclass work permit visa will be replaced by a three-tier visa system: Specialist Skills, Core Skills, and Essential Skills.
Specialist Skills Pathway: No occupation list, guaranteed annual earnings of $35,000, priority processing within 7 days, and a limit of 3,000 visas per year.
Core Skills Pathway: Majority of trades and professions, updated occupation list, expected visa processing in 21 days, and a minimum annual wage of $70,000.
Essential Skills Pathway: Details pending clarification, expected annual income less than $70,000.
    📊 Migrant Category:
Government aims to reduce overall permanent migration numbers gradually.
Specific reductions planned between 2023-2025, phased implementation.
    🔄 Other Changes:
Labour market testing duration increased from 4 to 6 months.
Employer advertising on Workforce Australia website is no longer mandatory, potentially saving up to 4 weeks in visa processing.
Change of employer for 482 visa holders extended from 2 to 6 months.

Migration of talents: an opportunity or a loss for the nation? This video delves into a crucial and intricate issue. Is brain drain an opportunity for individuals to pursue their dreams and develop their skills, or is it a loss for the nation and society, which misses out on the best minds? We must carefully consider how to guide and encourage talents to stay and contribute to the development of their countries, without disregarding personal and professional opportunities. Ultimately, we should strive for a balance between the needs of the individual and the interests of the nation.

Too many Indians already in western countries and the locals are not liking it so better stay in India as your PM is telling the world how great economically India under him is.
