Hey guys, that's awesome as my occupation is on the short-term for 482! How does this work entirely? For example, I do my 2 years then I can't legally work or live in Oz after exactly 2 years so would I need to return back to my home country then will I still be obligated to apply for PR?
Hi there! To our understanding, the change has been passed and is now in effect; this is reflected on the Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) - Temporary Residence Transition Scheme web page on the Department of Home Affairs: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/employer-nomination-scheme-186/temporary-residence-transition-stream If you'd like to confirm, we always recommend reaching out to a registered migration agent or the Department of Home Affairs directly.
Hi, do you know if a person has worked for the same employer outside Australia for more than 2 years and relocated to Australia on 482, so the years outside australia can be considered in order to apply for PR?
Hi there! As we are not able to provide official migration advice, we recommend getting in touch with a registered migration agent who can better guide you and answer your query. Best of luck!
Insightful talk - thanks for putting together this live event
