I wake up everyday to look out for your video considering the delay in processing various visa...i have applied for 491 visa more than 1 year....no update....and it is becoming frustrating and many applicants are passing through a lot of mental health stress as they are over financially stretched cum depression burdens...no one knows when things will change...i don't know if the system is failing us ...but let keep hope alive.

Hi Karl, my understanding is that we are too old for a working visa (we're just over 45), except under a Labour agreement. But we do have a pending job offer from a company with a Labour Agreement and would like to consider a permanent move with our kids. I'm assuming the company in question will do a lot of the legwork for us, but which visa would we even get in this situation?

Sure if you have 3 years experience and the employer wants to sponsor you, then yes DE is better.
If on 482 tss and thinking of applying for 186 DE, can one still use the same tss skills assessment if still valid to apply for the 186 visa DE or one must apply for a new OSAP skills assessment before applying?
When it comes to 3 years work experience does it matter what type (or granted date) of the degree that has been considered for the skills assessment (I've done ASC assessment for software engineer). Specifically if I have an ICT minor degree, does it need extra 3 years of work experience in addition to the 5 years already counted for the skills assessment? Pls help.

If I have 1.5year Internal Auditor (221214) experience + 2year External Auditor (221213) experience within the past 5years, I should be safe to apply TSS 482 visa by using Internal Auditor (221214) as nominated occupation?
Do I actually qualify to apply 186 Direct Entry given I have 3+years experience already?(though my jobs are not exact same occupation code but are under same unit group 2212) FYI both jobs are on medium term SOL and I can fulfill the skilled assessment for both 221213&221214.

First of all thank you so much for these informative videos.
I am holding 482 Medium-Term Stream Visa, granted on 03/12/2019 and have been working as a winemaker in regional VIC for 30 months. I haven't left Australia since i have started my job here and worked here during covid and before that as full time winemaker in a winery. In January 2023, I'd be working for my nominating employee for 3 years.
My question is that some of the immigration advisers told me that i am not eligible for PR (whether 186 or 187) due to i am on Medium - Term stream and not on short stream. However, on Department of Home Affairs' website there is no argument regarding this and 482 visa holder can transition via Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa (subclass 187) - Temporary Residence Transition stream.
Can you please let me know your opinion regarding my situation ?

Hi Sir. I'd like to know can we gain experience points in EOI without submiting payslip and bank statement in EA assessment. One of my previous company was stopped working and I was paid by cash. I had to contact my ex manager there. He gave me a referral letter but payslips and bank statements are already out of my reach. It would be really helpful if you reply to me. 😔

Any updates regarding the 482 short term to 186TRT PR? I was on 457 medium term visa from 2018 to 2022 and then the same company gave me a new 482 short term visa (under a different occupation) last May 2022. My actual job position is still the same. Am I eligible to apply for 186TRT even though I had two different visas with different occupations in them. But I'm still with the same employer and doing the same job eversince.

Karl lately I have found many people are getting sponsored for 482 by agecare facilities as carer and was told that they will qualify for 186 after working for 3 years. But on the other hand agecare carers occupation is not anywhere in the list. So is it possible to get 186 by carer after 3 years of sponsorship. Thanks
Yes it is for the sponsor must have a labour agreement or be under a DAMA agreement to sponsor this occupation under the 482 visa in the first place. Under these agreements can be various occupations that usually cannot be sponsored for the 482 or 186 visa. Thanks for watching
