@@paddlingdutchmen thank you 🙏 I lives in the middle of Sweden Örnsköldsvik and we got the high coast here, have you been there too? We got the world world heritage like "skule berget" and soo on. But many great water around here as well, and miles of hiking trails. I also saw your hats and gear and maybe you bought that equipment at "naturkompaniet" that's like 10km from where I lives 🙂
@@pappaken1 awesome, Sweden is an amazing country 🇸🇪! We have not been in your area yet, but always look forward to discover new areas. Any particular forest / trail you would recommend or where to get started?
@@paddlingdutchmen everything around the high coast is amazingly beautiful, if you want to go by foot or mountainbike there's very nice trails at "skuleberget" (the mountain of skule) and then you got something called north south pass and from there u can go to a mountain called "slottdalskrevan" all of these trails are in the area of the world heritage and it's like well I don't even know how many miles it is but it's many many miles. Search on Google for "skuleberget" "high coast" "slottdalskrevan" and you will know what im talking about 🙏 it's very very nice, and an amazing coast around that area, and we also got some rivers around as well.

It’s always great to know where your ancestors came from! All the best 🛶🌲🔥
Mooi man, dat is echt leven!
Goede jaarwisseling! ✨🌲🦌🛶❄️🔥

@@paddlingdutchmen I am from Baldwin Michigan. I live on a lake and paddle daily on it. I paddle some river systems in Michigan but my favorite canoe camp place is in the Adirondacks in upstate New York.
Awesome! Been to Michigan when I was a child in ‘90s. Would love to paddle Adirondacks some day. Have a great weekend ✨🌲🔥🛶

What an adventure you guys had an you had some skills paddeling those rapids, nicely done. Sweden is a beutiful country and a country were I was born. New subscriber and will follow your adventure 🤠👍
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, those rapids were exciting given it was our first white water experience 🌊🛶😃 Sweden is an amazing country, good luck prospecting up north! We may visit Finland some day for new adventures ✨
@@paddlingdutchmen yeah, Finnish Lapland is awsome, very nice waters to explore. Hope that you one day visit and then I can recommend Ivalojokis white water and the little more calm Lemmenjoki. Thanks for 📌 my comment 🤠
@@outnorthprospecting Super! We actually have Lapland now as our plan for 2023! Thanks for the tips, any suggestions on where to find a good local canoe and gear rental? Have a great day! ✨
Awesome canoe trip.
I am your new subscriber. Greetings from Brooklyn New York
Thanks for watching and subscribing, happy new year! ✨🌲🛶🔥
Great trip! As a sea kayaker in all seasons I’m surprised, though that you’re not dressed for immersion. At 4 degree C water temp it doesn’t matter if your 20 m or 50 m from shore. It is unlikely that you’ll swim to shore, even if you survive cold shock. Without having insulating clothing protecting body and head, especially without wearing a PFD, chances of surviving a surprise immersion are extremely low. I’m a seasoned rough water paddler and paddle through the middle of winter. I would not dream of paddling on 4 degrees water, even if it’s a 22 degree May Day. Dress for immersion. Don’t want to sound like an old “knowing it better” fart, just worried that you are not really aware of the danger. Good luck!
Thanks for watching and no offense taken on your comment! This is exactly why we were a bit anxious about the rapids. In summer water, no issue, but this was cold! We followed the instructions of our local Swedish guide who advised us to stay close to shore at all times and but he never used any additional clothing for immersion. But we’ll definitely double check this with him. Thanks for thinking along. Always great to interact with fellow paddlers, all the best! 🌲🛶🔥✨
Very good production guys. Enjoyable. Love it and it looks like a fabulous place. Thank you for sharing.I am 70, have two kayaks and a solo canoe. To answer your question, I would say we sure are lucky to be here and to be healthy to, wow.
Man guys as I continue to watch your video I'm a wee bit jealous. I've been on several trips like this and loved them all. You guys are sure making it look like a GREAT time. One last time,, THANK YOU.
Thank you for watching and your kind words! It’s so great to hear our video makes you think of some of the amazing adventures you had 🌲🛶🔥. What was your best paddle adventure ever? All the best ✨
@paddlingdutchmen hard to pick one, but I'd have to say either one of my trips to the Boundry Waters in Quetico, Canada, or maybe when I went to Wilson Creek or the Ocoee. Many good times. I'll be watching for more of your adventures.
@@jailen461 Sounds like great adventures! We would love to paddle Canada one day. Keep in touch!
@paddlingdutchmen you said in the video, "keep it wild" or close to that. While in Canada we saw several huge male Moose wide spread antlers, we had Black Bear in our camp searching for food only feet from our tent, we had otters swimming about near our canoes and beaver splashing us with their trails to protect their young. It was magical. Falling stars. We saw the colored lights at night.
I'll paddle until I die In 70, hope it's far away. Thank you for your time and patience. You two guys are wonderful men.
A good find on YT. I'm just waiting on delivery of my first Uke to begin learning... I am also a professional Canoe Guide here in Scotland running trips in Scotland, France and Canada mostly but have plans for some big trips in Sweden in 2025. If you get the chance please try to find time to join the Open Canoe Festival every Easter in France. Lots of folks from Netherlands attend as well as from across Europe and the UK. You would learn some very good foundations for future adventures in the north ;)
Hey Matt, thanks for watching and the tip for the open canoe festival! Stay wild 🌲🔥🛶
Fantastisch kanotocht.
What an incredible adventure this was. I love the surroundings and just how you feel emerging into the world of nature where things can stop you, but you have got to push and find a way. Thank you for bringing this up and creating an amazing video for us. Take care :)
Thanks for watching, Matous! Indeed nothing beats the feeling of submerging into nature and letting her take you into her flow. We enjoy making these videos. You have a great channel too! We subscribed. Hope you keep following us too. All the best 🌲🛶🔥
Thanks a lot for watching!🌲🔥🛶. We'd love to hear what your favorite part of the video is.
curious if those stops with the little shed type thing and firewood, are those free to the passerby's? or how does that work cause that's cool. love the video i was a quick subscriber much love from canada, forgot to mention the choice of music is wonderful.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, those little sheds or shelters are free to use for paddlers. It’s an unwritten rule in Sweden to always leave some tinder and firewood behind for the next person. And some of the shelters (like the one right after our white water sections) are maintained once a year by local government. Thanks for the kind words, we want to paddle Canada some day! 🛶🌲🌊🔥😃
Hi Guys, thanks for sharing! ♥️Where did you started your trip and have you end up? Sweden is so huge, hard to find out all just with google maps. Many thanks🙏🇩🇰
One more thing, do you think about going down Abisko nat. Park canoe torne river until Vittagi? I am so much about this trip, but cannot find partner. Do you find your lines in some book or you are just trying blindly. I could not ever find any guide for swedish rivers, so I always just try, but mostly use packraft, because I am alone.
Hi Peter, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it! 🛶🌲🔥 We started at coordinates: 63,86528° N, 14,49805° O and paddled downstream to approximately 63,32156° N, 14,86731° O. This should give you the exact points on the map! We did use a local Swedish partner based out of the little town Lit. You should be able to find it ✨🌲⛺️🔥🛶
We usually check tours via small local canoe partners in the region we would like to paddle. This year we intent to go to Lapland! But the Abisko National Park sounds awesome too! 🏕️✨🛶
Many thanks and have a great journeys guy's 🙏♥️🔥🚣🌍
Thanks. You too and let’s keep in touch! 🛶🔥⛺️🌲
Wat voor zeep/afwasmiddel gebruiken jullie?
Hi Bart, biologisch afbreekbaar.. werkt iets minder maar wel beter voor de natuur 🌲🛶🔥✨
Dudes never tie yourselves to anything in the canoe!
Fair point! Thanks for watching and keeping us sharp 🛶🌲🔥
