All indigenous peoples of this world have the right to live their traditions on their land. The rest of the human race seems bent on suicide. Using the oceans as a garbage pit, how do you expect that to end?? I met Pali almost 10 years ago and found him to be full of aloha and wisdom.

They have none. All the people that have been illegally taxed in the Kingdom of Hawaii has the right to have every penny returned. All the people in the USA that have paid income tax through their labor paid illegal taxes as well. Your constitution spells it out. No man shall be taxed on his labor. Just because the USA allows big bankers (Federal Reserve) to take Americans money illegally to pay the interest on the money that US government borrows, donʻt make it right or legal.

    • @aulanihoke5454
      @aulanihoke5454 Před 6 lety

Gail Clark, at this point it’s not about generalizing our “states” struggles. This eruption will continue until She makes everyone believe in HER. And acknowledges HER with the respect that SHE deserves. If you live there and lost your homes, I am sorry but as our Tutu Pele cleans HER ‘Aina, people are making plans to take other lands to rebuild and appease those who’ve lost their homes. (Harry Kim, how convenient that you can use the devastation of the people to recoop on your 2nd home being rebuilt. His other home is still standing.) Did that happen in other states “natural” disasters?
Not smart at all. That is disrespectful and SHE will rage on until everyone who continues that disrespect is bowing down to HER and allow this beautiful Goddess to heal her heart and speak for HER people. I have family there. I do worry about them because I love them but they know what’s happening. They feel her pain.
People must understand that other volcanic eruptions blow and the towns surrounding them have fatalities just because of where they live. Those that have died since She first started simmering in the early 80’s, did so because they ventured too close because they thought they had that right. If She wanted to wipe out people She could. But she is giving them time to vacate. With so many people moving to Hawai’i Island because it’s cheap land and affordable to make money off of that by having multiple homes for renting and running their businesses in Her path while at the same time calling Her land theirs. In essence, Tutu Pele is saying Me,Too. TMT must go elsewhere as well.
      Just saying.

The report concluded that the U.S legation assigned to the Hawaiian Kingdom together with U.S Marines & Naval personnel were directly responsible for the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom government. The report details the culpability of the U.S.A. government in violating international laws and the sovereignty of the Hawaiian Kingdom, but the United States Government fails to follow through in its commitment to assist in reinstating the constitutional government of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

We knew back in 1983 that this day would come - 5/31/2018. Well said, Palikapu, in 2013 and so pertinent today. The Hawaiians have no other home. The same is true to some extent of the rest of us. We have one earth. We have no place else to go. Our wildlife has no place else to go. The Pope's "Doctrine of Discovery" in the 15th century led to "Manifest Destiny" and eventually to where we are now. If this doesn't stop we all face extinction. Twenty years ago, or was it 30 we stood with the Pele Defense Fund. Perhaps it is time to revive it and join with Idle No More and the many other indigenous peoples & their supporters, who are fighting for their place on their part of the planet. From Ohlone land Oakland CA.

Any laws of the USA has no jurisdiction in other countries. Hawaii Kingdom is a country of its own recognized by the United Nation. So people need to understand including uncle who is speaking is that any USA laws is irrelevant and has no substance here in our country, only laws that of the Hawaiian Kingdom do.

Then came the rest like a thief in the night to help them selves to her beauty, to capitalize to plunder and rape with selfish greed. Another interesting fact is that Hawaii had no need for an Army Hawaii was and still is a neutral country like Sweden etc There are international laws protecting these countries from wars against them. The Marines landing with weapons is what had the Queen decide to turn over her authority to the then U.S president while the U.S investigated the said war crimes against the Kingdom of Hawaii by their military. The U.S just needs to comply with the above agreement. Waiting 120+ years is a bit long

Pele left the geothermal plant in place after the 2018 eruption. Isn't her voice the one we should be listening too? In the meantime, as the "petroleum economy" continues. And water "quality" degrades as the refineries, barges, storage tanks, automobiles, power plants, etc. etc. continue to pollute the 'Aina!! I don't hear anyone talking of any solutions. I don't hear or see many, putting forth any progressive action. Boots on the ground work. Stepping up to the mic with real ideas. I don't hear or see many incorporating conservation ethics. Are we going to stop using electric? Stop using gas? Stop your children? grandchildren? from using energy? What of their real future choices? Where is your indignity, anger, protest, to the present energy economy? What will the future generations do to secure environmentally sound energy for themselves? Are you ready to ho 'iho'i them to your own shortsighted vision?? Get off the "island" of your impaired thinking. The island nation of Iceland provides 100% of their heat and electric through geothermal. The effluent "waste" pond is a international tourist magnet. Google "the blue lagoon iceland". If the present companies can't produce 110% clean geothermal in Hawaii, than we must hold their feet to the fire of the volcano goddess. I don't want the future generations here to be so limited in their choices because we cannot push through our own present prejudiced thinking. Mahalo nui loa

Christianity did exactly the same to native English hundreds of years ago. Ordinary English lived happily believing in nature “gods”. Christianity was forced upon us, we were even murdered for not following this religion. Rich men have always persecuted indigenous peoples.
If Man wants it, he’ll get it, regardless of who is in the way.
It is always those with money, not us ordinary folk, that persecute others in this world.

What's up with his last name ? Das not Hawaiian. Hawaii isn't what it was. It's mixed. He has a huge point but as soon as he's pulling the race card it's to his own detriment. He neva grow up here white like me. He doesn't even know what racism is. I know what it is to be treated like shit and prejudiced against. Blamed for something I never had nothing to do with. I agree with everything he says except for that. He can fight the good fight without racism. If I'm 5th generation Hawaiian born how can I not be Hawaiian ? I'm of this land. I can't be from anywhere else. I am native to Hawaii. This is the place of my nativity. No one can help the so called natives more than the rich natives. Why isn't the Queen's lands and money not helping them ? Corruption. Greedy Bishop all they do is go to Vegas and blow the people's money. But everyone is all talk.

There are 207 sovereign states listed by the UN. Hawaii isn't on that list.
In 1873 the alcoholic King Lunalilo disbanded his army in fear of revolt. In 1893 the Honolulu Rifles militia overthrew the Hawaiian Kingdom and formed a provisional government. Without an army, the Queen tried to surrender to the US. It didn't work and within 48 hours every government with a diplomatic presence in Hawaii recognized the provisional government. In 1894 it became the Republic of Hawaii.
    Get educated.

I agree with him. But Hawaiians cultivated Hawaii first. People grow man, the WHOLE world is growing, why should Hawaii be specially protected from the SAME GROWTH that effects everyone. IF YOU THINK YOUR SPECIAL, YOUR EXACTLY OPOSITE. Ask the people of Nihau, they were held hostage by a japanese zero crash pilot, Hawaii needs a military, I think they should be proud to be American and preserve their "own culture" if thats the interest. Tell me this, what has Hawaii done for anyone else but Hawaii?
Quit calling yourself Hawaiian, your human. Your not a "protected species"....YOUR HUMAN.
