  • Show you how you can literally stack 2 Optoma EH-515 projectors to double the power to 11,000 lumens. This is very helpful when you need to project long distances or in conditions where you have a lot of light in the room.

    Great stuff Mike, I can see an added benefit to this set up. If one projector goes out for some reason you would still have an image projected to save the day while you trouble shoot the faulty projector. Thank you for the very clear instructions

    Thanks for this tutorial - that's cool 👍
    Will it work with two short-throw projectors (

    Isn't there software that will help with this? I'm assuming the image would be more crisp if done by software.

    You should not be using lend shift to align the images. Lens shift is ONLY for correcting the focal length when the lens is not perpendicular to the screen.

      You will know when the time is right. Get the most out of what you have and put a little a side on every event you book a projector on. Then when you need a new one you will be ready for it. I promise you they pay for themselves and having a projector that you know you can use for nearly anything you want to use it for give you peace of mind in your planning.

    would it be possible to projector stack with 2 cheap £80 projectors? Using your tutorial

    • @JimNH777
      @JimNH777 Před 6 dny

      It's not really going to work in his example. With cheap ones it's impossible. EH515 has vertical and horizontal keystone. You adjust each corner of the projected image. In practically any other projector there is no option like that. Also keystone is really not that great, any new projectors, especially 4k ones, don't have that option anymore (and rely on lens shift instead, but mostly that you have suitable room wall and space).

    You would be better off making a frame for them to keep them secured

    two 5500 projectors still wont look massively different to 1 so its really not much point

      You won't see a huge difference when you are in a dark space but a huge difference when you are in a room where you have diffused light like Sunlight or Fluorescent lighting. You get much better color saturation and it really does work. most projectors that are 8000 lumens and above use 2 bulbs in them and take all the work out of doing it this way.
