- People sometimes ask me what vehicles should be added to War Thunder, so I decided to list out some of the tanks that I think would fit in the game. I tried to stray away from MBTs in favor of more interesting vehicles like ATGM carriers and light tanks. I don't expect to see any of these in the next War Thunder update, but it'd be nice to see them in-game someday. In this video, I talk about the M60AX, LOSAT Bradley, Scorpion CVRT 90, 2S25 Sprut, and M8 AGS.

Why can't they do a 5 dollar thing where you pay 5 dollars and then it becomes very easy to unlock one or more of a dozen NEW vehicles, but if you don't, it's impossible to unlock those things.
I'd really like to see the South African Olifant, of course not as a premium.

We already have 3 of the 4 interwar super heavys in game, the Indipendant, the T-35 and the german one I can never name. The Char 2C is the only one we are missing and it did actually enter production. Several of them were modified during the war as well with a new armor package and new guns (one with a 75mm and another with a 105mm howitzer).
The German tank is called "Neubaufahrzeug", what could be translated into "newly built vehicle".
@Paul Dietrich It was to trick the allies into thinking that it was some kind of aggriculture vehicle just like with the "Leichttraktor" (Light tractor) and "Großtraktor" (Big tractor)

I still want them to just go whole ham with the French superheavies. There was like four different variations of the 2Cs, with the first having some 30mm front/side armour, later ones having 45mm front/side, one being upgraded to something dumb like 70mm frontal armour, and one being given a 155mm stubby howitzer because why not.
Then to top it all off they could probably put in the magnificent box that is the F1, and flesh the branch out with the ARL Tracteur C.

a problem with this is that Finland isn't a full nation ingame and would instead likely end up as a premium for sweden (sweden has a fair few premiums for finland). I myself am not really a huge fan of premium vehicles but it could be an interesting addition if you're willing to pay.

It was a prototype that lost to the 122. Had better killing ability but the 122 had better all around performance.

USA: 63
Germany: 74
Russia: 75
GB: 55
Japan: 38
China: 40
Italy: 47
France: 47
Sweden: 36
In a Allies vs Axis view (as the game is even doing in cold war era) that's 316 (allied) vs 159 (axis) vehicles
In the Mixed Clusterfuck that is happening at times (USA, GB, Japan) vs the Rest that is 156(USA,GB,Japan) vs 319 (Rest)
By your logic the nations that (probably) made most of the tankdesigns/prototypes in the world would get no vehicles for the next (insert random number) years
i should add that usa should get 10 vehicles and then no more for the next (random number) years like germany and russia

@@FinalThunder228 T28/95 shouldn't exist as two different tanks because they are the same tank. The T28 is just the "dissambled" T95 for easier transportation.

For US i'd go for M8 but upgraded model with 120mm smoothbore instead, same armor and everything but sports low pressure 120mm gun. Although it might be a problem due being a tech demonstrator from 2003.
As a South African I would like to see the Olifant main battle tank

I would love a video where you design your perfect tank. You always talk about what would make a great tank and it would be interesting if we saw what you would put into a modern tank. Well for me atleast
Id like to see the M7 Priest since there are already some artillery pieces in the game. The skink, which is in the game files, would also be one Id go after
Early T-64 with the aluminium-filled turret and D-68 gun, dunno, it just seems pretty cool to me. It could sit on 9.0 nicely I think.

As someone how mainly plays Germany, I would really like to see the Hs.30 "Schützenpanzer Lang" equipped with a recoilless rifle. It would be a nice addition to the German 6.3/6.7 lineup. But I doubt they will add it soon, because of the addition of Le.Kpz (the German M41)

I think the EVEN LT series tanks wold be a interesting addition to warthunder, these would be the ELC even 90 (as in WoT) but also its variants 1 of which had recoiless rifles

I'd like to see more modernised T54s/Type59s.
Multiple nations have produced modernised versions of the tank even as recent as 2015-17 onwards. The Type 59G produced by China for Bangladesh is the most advanced version to date, receiving an armour layout identical to the Type 96A, receiving a 125mm Smoothbore gun, automatic loader, computerised aiming systems, and Third Generation ERA.

I have a concept, What if there was minor tech trees that broke off from the mother tree at various ranks? Say you can play the Israeli tree after you unlock rank 3-4 in America and you can play a mini Canadian tree off the British tech tree at rank 2 etc etc? Any thoughts on this?
Israel only for US ? they used french things too, like how the prototypes for both M-50 and M-51 were french (they wanted to know if the gun could fit before buying them), and their aviation like the Mystère IV, Mirage III, Vautour,Mirage 5, SMB2 and they even made derivatives with them like the Kfir, Nesher, Dagger and they still use french helicopters for ASW.
So maybe an unlock for both ?

Yeah. If you unlock a certain rank in one of a few designated countries then you could start researching the new tech tree. I can see that working great if implemented correctly.

I'd love to see the M60-2000 added into the game, which is basically an entire M1A1 Abrams turret mounted on an M60 hull. I would probably give it a battle rating of 9.7 or 10.0

IMO i would add a minor axis and a minor allied tree in which domestically produced (could be license built versions of vehicles like the hungarian Toldi which a Stridsvagen L/60 produced in Hungary or the domesticay made romanian Maresal which is a light TD which influenced the design of the Hetzer) or license built versions of foreign vehicles,and this could be applied to both land and air battles.

I would love to see a Panzer 4 Hydro added as a 5.0 light tank premium, since Germany doesn’t have a capable light tank at 5.0 and in comparison to the Tiger and Panther, it’s pretty light.
Why would a Panzer IV with a new transmission go at 5.0?
Germany is fine, even without the light tanks, just do what I do, snipe from a distance with Germans, not hard

Nice video, though I feel you should leave the images of the vehicles on the screen for a bit longer, especially with that scorpion light tank, I saw it and then it was gone after a second hahahah. For the rest a very nice video!
As someone who plays all trees, smaller tech trees like Italy should be getting more tanks, not massive ones like the US. Adding more vehicles to the US promotes less variety in a player base and (in theory) could increase waiting times for matches
The advantage is that it's easier to grind those smaller trees, wich come in hand to both new and veteran players(but tbh a overcrowded tree have it's advandage, I'm grinding USA planes only in the F82 line(because I want this plane), and I can easily unlock the jets of this line without touching any other of them.

Not only that, but unless you buy premiums there is a massive jump in br overall from 3.3 to 4.7/5.0 for a full lineup, which for new players can be very challenging.

It's a pretty new vehicle that also has a good amount of information on it.
I'd personally love to see the BTR-90 added to warthunder. It's 2A42 30mm auto cannon could potentially do good damage again more modern tanks. It's essentially, like the centauro (for an example, not saying it is the centauro or looks like it I'm referring the way the vehicle moves, 8x8 suspension!) and the cannon of the bmp, put together. The vehicle is also has amphibious capabilities. I'd say it'd fit nicely at a BR rating of 8.7- 9 and would be above the BMP-3 or just below it.
Secondaries, would include and high power MG on top (maybe) and a co-axiel 7.62 lmg aswell as it is on the real BTR-90. Also, a 9M113 ATGM would be a secondary armament and a AGS-17D 30mm auto grenade launcher aswell.

Engine:turbocharged diesel 510 hp (380 kW)
Power/weight ratio: 24 hp/ton
Top speed: 100km/h
Speed whilst amphibious: 9km/h

MBT 80 before the Vickers mk7 in the British tree would be a great addition, since the mk7 took inspiration from the MBT 80 project. This would feed the speed meta nicely for the British tree.

An Ajax or Upgraded Warrior would just be an equivalent to the CV90
The M8 also had a proprietary Steel known as collaroy Steel. It was in essence lighter than standard steel so it could be slightly thicker but also cheaper than titanium so it could still maintain some shape after striking. It was actually a very interesting concept but never got anywhere because it ended up being still a little too expensive
I have some tank Idea's that I thought you should definitely look into..
-AVGP (Grizzly) a six-wheeled AFV that is equipped with the same gun as the British Scorpion tank (76mm Low-velocity cannon)
-Leopard C2 and/or the Leopard C2 MEXAS, which is a Canadian Leopard 1 tank that is upgraded with a large armour package.
-TH-495 a tracked IFV that was proposed to Canada for its IFV replacement. It mounted a 25mm autocannon and it was to be a host of multiple variants such as a TOW launcher, an AGS, as well as an ADATS
-Ch'onma-ho series, it's an indigenous North Korean tank series that is a copy of the Soviet T-62 tank that continuously upgrades its armour package and weapon systems.
-OT-62 Vydra, a Czech variant of the soviet BTR-50, however, the Vydra variant comes with an autocannon that means to have some anti-air capabilities Vydra-1 comes with a 23mm autocannon and the Vydra-2 comes with a long-barreled 30mm cannon, however, I should mention these are prototypes.
-ATS-103, it's supposed to be a North Korean Anti-tank vehicle based off the Tokchon self-propelled artillery using the ATS-59. However, even in my research, I couldn't find much to read.
-Sherman M51 or Super Sherman, which is simply a Sherman tank but with a big 'ole 105mm cannon that was commonly used by the Israelis.
-K1 MBT, a homegrown South Korean tank which to say the least that it can rival that of the Leopard 2 or Abrams
-M113A1 TSV, an Australian M113A1 with a 76mm cannon because why not.
-Vickers Mk.11 a British IFV sort of deal, it's designed to carry troops as well as having the firepower of an L7 105mm cannon.
-Grizzly 1, a Canadian made M4A1 tank, this time without the rubber tracks but instead metal tracks as rubber was rare in Wartime Canada
-Tank AA, 20mm Quad, Skink, it's a Canadian made AA vehicle that has a quad 20mm Posten cannons, that was mounted on a Grizzly chassis.
-Schofield tank, another New Zealand tank that is also meme-worthy, which comes equipped with a 2 pounder gun, and it was meant to also supply the demand of a tank like the Bob Semple.
-And finally which I found comical is the OT-810D, which is a Czech modification of the German Sd.Kfz 251, which an 82mm Cannon mounted on the back of it, which in this case I think they should also add the German varients of the half-track, like the AA variant with a 20mm Flak 30, the AT variant with a Pak 40, which there's is many more that you should look into.
-I know this may not be a tank but I thought it would be interesting, the CF-100 Canuck is a Canadian Jetfighter/interceptor made in the 1950s, it comes equipped with 8 12.7mm machine guns and can come equiped with rockets that were ment to take down Soviet nuclear payload bombers, it can also come equipped with the Velvet Glove Anti-Air missiles, however, the missiles were only prototypes thus only making them unique to the Canuck as it couldn't come equipped with other AA missiles as they weren't made in the Canucks time.
I know these may be more than you wanted or not wanted but I thought it would be good material.
As a French tanker, AMX-13 DCA production model. The 40mm version we have was a prototype, it should be neat to have the other variant which is like the AMX-30 DCA with a difference with the hull and less advanced stuff, so we can fill the gap in the AA line. Also, more Leclercs. AMX-10 should be neat, altho just a IFV with 20mm but I'm sure there are some versions with ATGMs laying around.
I'd enjoy to see the Churchill Churchill AVRE "Tin Can Launcher" in the game.
The only question is how it should be reloading in game because it had to swing its turret to the front for the hull machine gunner to load a new mortar shell into the barrel if you can call it that. This process took about 2 minutes from what I was able to find.
What about the Cromwell variants that used similar guns? I think it was called "Centaur".

Not sure that you properly referenced the torque converter on the M60 variant as torque converter mearly help smooth auto transmissions gear shifts. I think you meant to say gear splitter as those were pioneered by the military in the early 90's. Overall another great video. Keep up the good work.

i'd like to see the japanese B78; it is basically the little brother of the type 89 we already have in game, only limited information has been found on it but would be very interesting and could fit nicely at 8.0 as a event tank

You’ve made a lot of vids abt mechs in Video Games, but I was wondering if maybe you could do an analysis on the robot designs in Transformers 2007. Not really mechs but it’s similar
Basically got an idea for low-tier multi-turret tanks: the Großtraktor (either Rheinmetall or Daimler-Benz versions)

All we need is the super heavy and super amazing tog. I feel like it would be a lot of fun to play. And even with what 40mm armour it could be angled well. And with that 17 pounder. I think it would be a good 3.5 or 3.3 tank.

I really like the idea of adding the 2S25 Sprut and the Losat Bradley. I really hope Gaijin adds these vehicles.

I'm personally hoping to see more US wheely bois such as the Stryker and the LAV 25, both have a variety of variants that all have different places in the tree (Air Defense, IFV, MGS, AT) with the M1128 MGS and the LAV-AT (with the M901 launcher) as personal favorites.
What about the EE-T1 Osório? Cool tank, didn't really saw combat or anything, but so did a lot of the tanks currently in War Thunder, the tricky part is find out in which tech tree it should be placed

Coming back to see this video, one of these tanks is actually in the game now, even though it was through a crafting event. And that crafting event made you choose between the German Phantom or the American light tank. Gaijin should have watched these videos more

I would like to see the austrian k-105 Kürassier light-tank / tank-destroyer in the game. It is a small tank, light armor, french 105mm gun with 12 / 13 round autoloader, baisicly a AMX-13 on steriods. depending on the version of it, and wich ammunition it gets, the br could go from 8.7 to 10.0
Wombat recoiless rifle mounted on a landrover. And M1128 LAV. Also to look at the modern SPA like the AS90, AHS Krab or Panzerhaubitzer 2000 etc. After all they do have the MRLS.
Id like to see the type 10 for Japan, it is currently being used by the JDF and has access to era protection which would give Japan a fighting chance against the large array of atgms being used in the game recently. Probably at a 10.3 or the new 10.7
I would definitely like to see the LAV-AD or the Linebacker, stryker MGS, more modern bradley variants, and the upgrade package for the m163 to turn it into the PIVADS.

The m8 ags would be an awesome addition. Especially since right now a more modern variant of it is one of the two front runners in the army’s MPF competition.

I'd like to see a wiesel with the HOT ATGM. It would be pretty funny to play, and would finally give me a small light ATGM platform I can use at higher tiers. As for where it should be in the tree, I think it could be off to the side like the TAM was for so long, except it would be off to the side of the Raketenjagdpanzer 2 HOT. Or maybe it could be one of those tanks where you research the original tank and then you have a mini tree that isn't required to advance, and pops up when you click the original tank. This would make it so you have to get to the Raketenjagdpanzer 2 HOT first, but don't have to get the Wiesel HOT to progress in the tree.
I'd love for the US/UK to get more prototype light tanks, especially around 8.0-9.7, since that would combat the dominating AXIS meta.
Id like to see what could be added to low or mid tier as thats where I have the most fun
The Canadian Skink anti aircraft tank. Sherman chassis that had 4x 20mm polsten cannons. Add it at the same tier the whirblewind is at and give it to the americans and british line ups
Well, since it seems to be popular, how about the Wiesel tankette.
Seriously now, the Wiesel Family could introduce new interesting mechanics and probably fill the german tech tree by at least 4 new vehicles.
Next up would be the Marder 1 and the Marder 2. Especially the Marder 2 had a cannon system, wich was able to switch between 35 and 50 mm ammunition by changing only the barrel (yes, that's possible).
Another German Vehicle would be the Puma.
A great addition would be artillery vehicles, specialised in flat tragectory support or even direct target shooting, examples such as the Paladin or the PZH 2000 would make a great addition to medium and long range support.
Than there are the interesting vehicles of the swiss army, one could add them partially to the german tech tree or even make a whole swiss tech tree on its own.
The addition of "technicals" would also make for some great fun.
You should also take a look into the british tank developement, they had some very interesting stuff wich also could be added.
One could also add some of the post war upgraded Sherman tanks, some of wich had 105 mm cannons or even 60 mm smooth bore cannons.
Other than that, there is one more thiing that interests me the most, there as a rumor, that the germans, at the end of ww2 fitted a turbine engine onto a Jagdpanther, presumably producing 1000 hp at full throttle. I say rumor, because i wasn't able to find solid evidence. The best evidence i could find where some russian translated technical drawings of the different turbine concepts and the engine fitted into the engine bay of a Panther. At least the idea of such a tan would be worth a video.
mmm I want the skink. Sherman with 4 20mm cannons in turret. I haven't played WT in a while, but I think It would fit well after the 37mm+2 .50s AA truck.

I would really love to see some Yugoslavian tanks being added,albeit they're copies of the T-72,they would be a nice addition to the Soviet tech tree(for example the M-84,it was based on a T-72 body but had a locally produced interior,also the prototypes of M-91 Vihor or the M-95 Degman,dunno if the latter one is a prototype or a an actual built tank).Probably we won't see it but it would be a nice addition. :D
Also I would like to add that we had locally produced IFV's which different by some degree from the BMP's
