"sounds like my brother" will always be great hahah
LOVE Michael Parkinson, he was the best, and this was the very best Noel interview because of Parkinson's brilliance and professionalism. He also was such a respectable man, most of his guests opened up in ways they didn't with other interviewers.
That's a great interviewer! Parkinson was pure class!
This is the best interview I’ve seen with Noel - Parky was brilliant because he listened and was actually interested
What a tool this noel is
I agree.
ive seen this interview before. stunning. really. noel really moves me mostly he makes me laugh but he can be deeply sincere. such an an interesting interview, all of the discussing their art. and so much mutual respect.
Great interview with all three, Parkinson. really was a master of his art. R.i.p
This is the best interview of Noel Gallagher ever and I loved Rod Stewart but Dustin Hoffman was so rude and disrespectful he is the reason why Americans are hated.
Noel is one of the few who survived Sex Drugs and Rock n Roll lol
I was in the audience. Two of my favourite stars Rod and Dustin. Noel managed to impress me too. GREATEST PARKINSON & one of the last few episodes.
One of the most interesting Noel Gallagher interviews, simply because it isn't riddled with "...F**kin..."s in every statement. And he doesn't even seem like he's trying not to. Respect to Parky...and the Chief, he's all the more charming for it.
Watching this in 2023 and l think it's amusing listening to Noel describing Man City as crap.....
This was fun with the three guys interviewed . Gave me some laughs inbetween times .
Brilliant trio here.
What Dustin says about the difference between say a musician snd an actor reminded
Me. Of what Joni .Mitchell said. "Apainter does a painting and hangs it on a wall somebody buys it or nobody buys it but nobody even said to Van Gogh "paint a starry night again man
Denis Law. Rod's hero and mine and played his best at United but played for City twice.. When I met Noel I reminded him of that.
Did he remind you that the Law man relegated you playing for city🤣🏴
@@gillespiebuchan3491 he didn't. United were going down regardless.
How times have changed at City eh. With the Champions League Final 2023 in a few weeks !
Thank you for uploading this, I've never seen it and absolutely loved it.
Best Noel G interview I’ve seen
What a line-up!
Great upload. Parky always gets the best out of people and that’s the best interview I’ve seen with Noel.
Really great band and Noel is a legend !!
Love the way Rod corrects himself on the word “soccer” and Noel hates the word 😂
This must rank as one of the best Parkinson’s EVER
Parkinson is the interview equivalent of Allan Holdsworth.
Great interviews
Brilliant interviews, with one of my favorite American Actors of all time, and two word class musicians who BTW support and love my football team, Glasgow Celtic.
Aye and they are both a pair of wankers lol.
Unlucky with ceptic
What a guy. Loved this.
Dustin was spot on...Noel was incredibly open
Great scoop for parky, gettin' parker from thunderbird's on his show!!!! Well done Mr parkinson😊
24:43 Gotta love the quality of VHS tapes.
I saw the faces live in about 1971 they seemed like they were having a great time ,;kicking a football about on stage as they performed
I seen The Faces myself, 3 times in the early 70's in Newcastle upon Tyne at The ODEON. Best live band I ever seen play in my life and I have seen hundreds.
spot on noel ....thanks
This is the difference, much as I like MP he doesn’t understand the lives of others , he tries bless him. Noel is right , living in this fcked up country distills the crap downwards . Life was and is so damned hard , they don’t get it , we do.
celtic, city and cowboys
"Every time I go and see City now, and because they're rubbish..." It's June 2023, Manchester City are this year's English FA Cup winners, English Premier League Champions, and 9 days ago beat Inter Milan to win the Champions League Final to become European Champions, and in doing so have won the much coveted Treble. They're currently regarded as one of the greatest sides England has seen in decades winning 16 domestic trophies and titles over the last - think it's 11 years...maybe 12? So it's fair to assume Noel's a much happier City supporter nowadays.😉 Congratulations City, from a Celtic supporter.👏
Very similar to Ray Davies to younger brother Dave. Ray said of Dave being born without a trace of irony: "He came into my life as an interloper" Hilarious.
FFS , Gallagher, Hoffman and Rod the Mod , what a Saturday night, imagine the post programme piss up !!!!😅
4:44 Parky auditioning for Liams job.
Epic!
The first time I heard of Noel was when Daltry let you him play lead guitar won't get fooled again and Townsend played rithym guitar.
and it was embarrassing..........he looked so out of his comfort zone?
You can tell Noel and Rod would be great friends
Check out Rod covering Rocking Chair
It was Fascinating that interview was ……
Noel is very sincere a good bloke.
Noel ,Rod,Dustin and Parky all came across as proper genuine people
Not much better than an interviewer who does his research and knows his stuff
The likes of Michael Parkinson are hard to find
That was a brilliant interview, getting the inner somethings out of Noel’s mind - gently squeezing out that feeling which he may often keep hidden
Parky the true pro and Noel Gallagher the perfect chat show guest, as too is his brother Liam
Funny the part when they say the last time City won anything was '76 (30 years before this). Now, they've won the Premier League 5 of the last 6 years or something...
The main difference between Parkinson and today's chat shows is that Parkinson was always about the guests, today's chat shows are about Grahame Norton or Jonathan Ross and the guests are there to make the host look really goodwith obviously scripted questions and reactions as if a writer has spent time working out the wittiestreplys and comments The host is always the star of the show even though he's never done anything other than chat to actors and artists on a sofa nowadays there are people with little or no talent who are actually more famous th talented artists they interview
I never watch Graham Norton's show no matter who the guest is, because there are too many of them sitting on the couch fawning over each other telling themselves how wonderful they are. Parky, on the other hand just concentrates on one guest at the time and gets the right blend of interesting information by asking relevant questions.
Brilliant interview. Parky comes across as quite naive and middle class when talking about Noel’s hard working class background. But Parky was raised in a tough mining village, the son of a coal miner!
That was so long ago Parky's forgotten what life is like for ordinary working class people. They all grow up in tough areas surrounded by crime gangs and drugs most rock stars football stars etc are working class. I didn't drift into crime due to drugs I was into crime since I could walk and taking drugs since the age of fifteen. I don't get involved in either these days. Not because I suddenly decided to "go straight" or found God I simply grew out of it like I grew out of playing cowboys and Indians.
Weird isn't it Parkinson sounds like a working class snob or someone who hated his roots..
The chemistry between the three of them was funny…three HUGE egos
They bounced off each other well
Real celebrities not the fake shite we get in 2023
Episode dated 25th November 2006
Pressure creates the diamond
I love the Gallagher's.
It's like that with most brothers
Where have you gone, Noel Gallagher?
Noel is great for his attitude and his music, but he was tough for what 'tough' is nowadays
"Ladies and gentlemen....Hustin Doffman"
Very switched on interview
Noel was excellent..what an interviewer parky was..it's just two people taling when parky get's going...
When was this?
Well Man City have come on a bit since this was first broadcast ....
If he was getting his head kicked in, I’d probably join in 😂😂😂
Oh, oh, My Christ!
He's only little - but that just adds to his ragamuffin impish kid persona
Dustin asked you “after you record the album do you listen to it and wish you could have RECORDED it differently? We get you can change it night after night live.
Yes noel did get that🤣🤣
Noel doing a Liam impersonation.
18:27
He wouldn’t want a Knighthood, the next thing after that is prison for something dodgy.
Could anyone inform us of the date of this interview please?
25 November 2006
🥰
He’s a really good lad. Oasis to his fans are what Slade and Status Quo were to us.
Noel caught Liam wearing gloves on an cold day. That's why they broke up
Dustin Hoffman has no clue what’s going on here 😂
He went along with it well though, came out looking like a decent genuine guy
He formed a group actually
thanks dustin. we will all applaude from your you tube never ever again
31:08
Why hasn't he given the knighthood yet???
Because he's Irish and he'd tell them to shove their knighthood up their arse.
who did the lights?...it's a strange moustache under the nose of Rod...
Great achiever Noel is. His quitting drugs story isn't exactly correct though. He was having massive anxiety attacks. That's what 'Gas Panic' is about.
What is ‘gas’ panic, please?..
@@janeelstree4984 Gas Panic is an Oasis song. (great song too)
I know wot you mean...
Dykeritz
I saw the headline and i thought Noel has Parkinson’s disease. Not a Brit so no idea of the host.
Winnie Wallace... Why would he be given a knighthood...?.
Because he's top bananas
Con uu
Beatles tribute act
Don't sound anything like The Beatles
@@dravendean8710Oasis? a bit they do, at least they trying to. that's my impression.
Probably looks into the mirror every morning and say's who's the best rock n roll star ever!! So wrapped up in his own self importance.
Good luck to him he saw his chance and took it and became hugely successful nice one Noel
Hoffman must be thinking I know rod but who the f is this?
Who's Rod Stewart? A jock who was clever enough to retain all his rights regarding his music and therefore very well off. Noel changed Pop music in the 90s, Rod was just about while Zeppelin ruled the world.
@Samuel Garrod difference is Rod is famous stateside, Noel not so much
Parkinson always sounded out of touch and no more so in this interview
Oasis. They had 1 decent song, nothing special, just a standard chord progression which has been used before and still is..... and that's it. That band is a bit overrated
One decent song🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gallagher ,a Top Boy. One of your mate’s , yes !
Not many folk even know that Noel Gallagher used to be a Farmer.. and all of his ancestors were farmers too.. Don't believe me ? . . just look at the screen shot ! . . Hillary Briss from the league of gentlemen ! . . Or if you have seen a film called Deliverance you might just get the idea.. Noel has got a real perdy mouth !
