It's a generational/British thing; to understand the humour I guess you have to have had previous experience, or knowledge and also it's typically British; so a lot of people maybe younger people and people who aren't British don't 'get it'; doesn't ring any bell with them; so all they can do is poopoo it and return to staring at their phones.

Loved Peter Kay has an ability to make us laugh at ourselves. Observational comedy all my kids had it parents evening for me was a nightmare. Billly Connolly stole a part of my soul that I doubt I will ever get back, but something about Peter Kay brings back huge memories of watching this with my old man and mam, and laughing like a bastard, and I know it isn't fashionable to like peter because he's not alternative, but the man is genuinely hilarious and an honest northern lad
I had the pleasure of his company at an Eric Clapton concert. He was very knowledgeable about EC and the blues and cried often during the set. H3 did give me one invaluable piece of advice. Moleskin trousers, he said. Absolutely the best thing for your legs and your piece of mind. I’ve been wearing them ever since and , by George, he were right. I’m convinced they protected me from Covid 19.
