Vincent Daly You will need toughened, laminated glass. The laminated glass is about 2mm thick and is sandwiched between toughened glass panes, each pane being about 10mm thick. If you are in Ireland, check out adverts.ie and look for the guy who builds fish tanks. For a frame, I used aluminium tubular scrap which my father in law had laying about. The strips were bolted to the frame area and then I fibreglassed the pond and the back side of the aluminium. However, you could just etch out the block work and sit the glass into that. The frame allowed me to bring the glass forward.
