  • Opening day of the prawning season 2017 on the Hampshire Avon. I'm out with my 15 foot fly rod and centre pin long trotting a red prawn in low water conditions. After loosing two 20lb plus fish to snags and weed and 2 other doubles in the same day I eventually managed a beautiful 13lb cock fish.

Cheers Paul. I'll be there making a froth on the water!!! I had a belting 2017 season. Managed a 32lb cock salmon in the last two weeks. It was a great battle on the switch rod! Looking forward to the 2018 season. I'm totally unprepared for it as usual! Certainly let me know when you're coming up!

Paul Greenacre . I got the whole thing but it was on some water I'm not allowed to show unfortunately! I'll get a photo up as I'm allowed to do that! It's a shame really. If you come up I'll give you a private viewing !!!

Great to hear the screaming centrepin! Used to use one margin fishing for carp.....skinned knuckles!

Evening Paul, what another great video. I have been looking forward to one from you for some time now. I wonder if you could kindly tell me please what make and model of polaroids you use. Many thanks J

John D evening John, it took a while to get round to make this film I've been up to my eye balls! My usual choice in sunglasses are amber costa glass lens. They aren't cheap 200 pounds but open up the river so well it's easier to spot fish and snags. I was using my back up polaroids in this film as I dropped my costa and broke one of the glass lens earlier in the year. I. Usk get them repaired as they are so good. I have another 6 films to make, so hopefully you'll get some more pgtv action soon! All the best !

Evening Paul, thank you for the reply and information. I did not expect your sunglasses to be low priced ones, I expect it is perhaps “you pay for what you get". I have watched most of your videos and have enjoyed them ever so much and learnt a lot from them. All the best John
