- This is an instructional video on how to apply a decal onto any smooth surface using a dry method. Surfaces include cars, laptops, windows, glass, plastics, etc. If you are installing a wall decal, please check our wall decal video in this channel also.
If you have questions about dry method versus wet method, I will have a video about that soon.
Dry method works best with a plastic clear transfer tape like what you see in this video.
Wet method works best with a paper transfer tape which I will show in another video. Stay tuned.

Great Inst. Video. Easy and to the point. Thanks!
I used this video to learn how to apply a decal, that I ordered off of someone on Etsy, for my laptop. Very informative.
I'm glad it helped!
Same here! I went straight to CZcams for tips 😁
SAME AHAH
Also same here 😂
This is by FAR the best video on CZcams for this project.
I have watched many of the others on how to put on a decal. Your's was by far the best and informative. Thank you.
I appreciate it!
I appreciate the way you packed a lot of good detail into a short and to-the-point video, and gave people the option of pausing to re-read if needed. A lot of these tutorial-type videos are unnecessarily dragged out and longer than they need to be. I think you hit the sweet spot between detail & simplicity with this one.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment. Originally it was 12 mins long. I had to do a lot of editing and speeding up to make it work. And I still feel like I missed a lot of details, but those details are more situational. People can definitely contact me directly if they need more information.
@@8versus8studio yeah I saw another comment suggesting you slow down, and that prompted me to write my comment. I like the way you did it. Thumbs up
@@Kampy_ I appreciate that!
So refreshing to find a tutorial that is straight to the point with no rubbish in between. Great tutorial, I learnt all I needed to know 👍🏼
Great tutorial. I purchased stickers for my car and thought I'd do a youtube search to ensure I was going to do it correctly. Saw your instructional video and glad I checked ... excellent instructions.
Thank you!
That hinge method is such a simple idea, but also brilliant. I tried it and, wow. Thanks for the advice.

Have been in touch with this guy. Had some questions about the product before receiving it. Absolutely the best customer service! Very helpful and just the fact that he is helpful and prompt to answering questions says a lot. Hardly ever see this kind of service anymore. and this is just over decals....wish he ran Verizon ;)
Thank you so much! I appreciate it. I don't make a lot and it's still a struggle, but comments like these make it worth it.

I share your video to my customers, so they know how to install a decal perfectly. Awesome tutorial. Keep it up. 🤘
Six years late - thanks! This was very helpful.
Just put on a dope car decal of Freddy Kreuger on my car thanks for the help bro 👌👌👌
I just used the second method in the video to install a portion of the factory OEM striping on my Mustang fenders. The stripes have to be purchased whole and cost ~$85 each so I wanted to get it right. I had an aftermarket hood installed and the fenders were blended to match. I was on the fence about using the wet application method with soapy water but decided to do a dry install like in the video. I used masking tape and a straight edge to first install a guideline... I washed the area with water and then 70% isopropyl alcohol. Fortunately, the car has not been waxed since the paint work so that made the prep easier. I wiped the area with a microfiber/lint free cloth. Since it was ~40F, I gently heated the fender and the decal with a hair dryer then I taped it into position. I followed the instructions in the video for application and it came out perfect with no air bubbles (and level).
That's great! I'm glad it worked out. Thank you for sharing.
Excellent, thank you for this. It's straight to the point 👍
This was the best video on applying decals to vehicles. My decal went on easy without bubbles. Great job!
I'm glad it helped =). Thank you!
Awesome video!!! And wow dude your comment at the end about replacing damaged decals and sincerely wanting people to be happy, is really cool. I’m still trying to decide where to put my decals
Thank you. I appreciate it. Sometimes when I'm unsure where to put a decal, I take a picture of whatever I want to put it onto and photoshop the decal onto it so I have an idea what it'll look like before I put it on. Or just use the masking tape to hold it while you look from a distance.
Great video, very straight forward, and it allowed me to put my new car decal without any issues at all. Thank you so much!
You're welcome! Thank you for watching.
That was the best video out of all of them. Thank you.
Great video! Did the job perfectly
Thank you for an excellent video, made it so very clear!
You're welcome!
Thanks a bunch. I ended up completely messing up a decal using a soapy water method instructed by the product. This is much easier and less nervracking.
Wet applications can work too. But yes, it's harder.
Very impressed with your customer service, and I haven't even received my decal yet. I am already glad I bought this from you, and I hope your business really takes off as a result of your excellent customer service.
Thank you! Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions when you receive your decals. I appreciate it =)
Wow you detail the process so easy to understand thanks a million 😃
Thanks for sharing... Wow you make it look easy and simple.. Thanks again
Very helpful, thank you!
One of the best application videos ever. I'll be checking you out for my next decals. Thanks for doing a great job. It really helped.
Happy to help! You can email me if you need help with any projects.
Great video on installation right to the point perfectly done thank you
This was helpful, thank you :)
Great video, much appreciated, helped me put my decals on perfect🙌🏽
This video helped me put decals on my car in my recent video!
I’m glad it helped! 😀
Tip on removing decals Boil a kettle pour it over each letter use you fingers to remove , you don’t get any residue left over 😁👏👏👏👏
Thank you for the suggestion! I haven't tried using hot water like that but I will experiment with it. A similar method is using a heat gun (low setting so you don't damage the car) or hair dryer to warm the decal up and rub them off with your fingers instead of using your nail and risk scratching it.
@@8versus8studio you won’t damage the car with hot water 👍👍👍 I’ve done many times !!
I'm highly impressed, excellent customer service, directions and product! Don't hesitate to buy. I will use again!
Thanks for the helpful info

Thank you! I appreciate it!
8 Versus 8, do u happened to still sell stickers?
kalim salam Hi, I will. I am working on getting new equipment. I will be back up and running within a week or 2.
Wondering video. Thank u
Watched your video couple times worked like a charm. Ty. You were right have done air bubbles . Hopefully they go away like u said. But excellent directions!!!!👍🏽👍🏽💯💯
Small ones will usually go away. Big ones, big being a quarter inch or bigger, can be popped with a needle. Just poke a small hole in the side and push down into it so it doesn't crease. Hope this helps!
@@8versus8studio ty sir!!!
I applied a retro decal to my Mopar and screwed it up. Then when it went into the wash bay, part of it tore off. So, i ordered another set and figured i'd take more caution this time around. This video is exactly what i needed.
Happy to help! Give it about a week before you go through a wash after you apply to give it some time to cure properly.
For sure. Thanks
Thank you very much!
Short and simple 👌
