Lessons from Lockdown: The Musician

Rene Chavez, a local musician and employee at Rock n Roll Rentals, was personally affected like many in the music industry by the coronavirus pandemic. When a calendar of event productions and bookings vanished in a matter of a couple weeks and Chavez was furloughed from his job, he was racked with anxiety about the future and a surplus of pent up energy.
In order to cope, he got back to basics. He reconnected with routines in his life like cooking, gardening, and ultimately making music. It all started with setting aside dedicated time to creating in his at-home studio.
A year later, Chavez is back at work and feeling more fulfilled creatively at home.
