So, just like abrahamic religions, modern science is also a half baked religion without a credible philosophy which is creating great personal and universal imbalance or adharma. juxtaposition of one of the greatest mind (sadhguruji) & probably the childish and amateur mind of javed akhtar. I couldn't think of greater purpose of him being there. I have heard sadhguruji saying " on my first meeting with one famous celebrity , the celebrity declared to me in a stern voice 'i dont believe in God'". In all probability it is javed akthar, who else could it be.

Its amazing how we as general people, can still manage to atleast get his point across when he says, the physical limits you after a point and there is a dimension beyond physical which remains unexplored but the lady is not at all even in the slightest possibility able to decipher what sadhguru wants to mean. I find her to be somewhat rigid.. whereas a scientist is known to keep an open mind.

LEARN TO LISTEN
From the very beginning we should understand the process of our thinking, the ways of our mind; but before we go into that, i think it is essential to find out what it means to listen.
Very few of us listen directly to wht is being said, v always translate or interpret it according to a particular point of view. We have formulations, opinions, judgments, beleifs through which we listen, so WE ARE ACTUALLY NEVER LISTENINING AT ALL; we are only listening in terms of our perticular prejudices, conclussions or experiences. We are always interpreting what we hear & obviously that does not bring about UNDERSTANDING. What brings about understanding, surely is to LISTEN WITHOUT any anchorage, without any definite conclussion, so that u & i can think out the problem together, whatever the problem may be. If u know the art of listening, you will not only find out what is true in what is being said but you will also see the false as false & the truth in false; but if u listen argumentatively, then it is fairly clear that there can be no understanding because arugument is merely your opinion against another opinion, or your judgment against another & THAT ACTUALLY PREVENTS THE UNDERSTANDING OR DISCOVERY OF THE TRUTH IN WHAT IS BEING SAID.

What is the problem with this corporate or science group? They look like learned, but don't understand the philosophy of exploration. No matter, how Sathguru explains them, they will not get it, because their mind is closed to their perceptions and that is where their confusion starts.

Even within material realm lot of deeper laws of nature modern science can never understand because it is hard to measure it up. eg Delayed causation of karma or cause and effect, reincarnation and the layer of prana which is neither energy nor breath.

The attitude of the author and Javedji is purely physical. They refuse to believe that anything higher exists or even can exist. Read the book by Talbot on “The holographic universe” and you will realise that the apparent (‘sense-created’) world is an illusion. Animals don’t have or have minimum capacity to realise this: if man chooses to ignore this, it is his own belief-created bondage. How will physics define beauty, love? They are so subjective; not objective. A son finds his “ugly” mother most beautiful! You have to grant there is within you a higher personality above the physics-chemical.
