More huge cars. I realise companies have to make profits with these models before they can push-out smaller cars, but I can't believe US markets aren't seeing a rise in demand for smaller, more efficient EVs by now? Why does everyone want to drive a tank?

Because on the road in a smaller vehicle amongst all pickup trucks your visibility is limited. My vehicle is a Kia EV6 Gtline and it’s nicer than my 3 previous Lexus’s(rx350, rc350 fsport and RCF). I love the car in every aspect except the visibility. I can’t see on the roads because it’s 75% full size SUVs and pickup trucks. I agree with your statement most that are driving these trucks have nothing in the bed and the 7 seater SUVs have at best a driver and front passenger. Not needed.

@@littlebigbrother7279 Perhaps drivers also feel safer in large cars. Pedestrians are definitely not safer though. All these cars with huge front ends are bad news for head injuries according to safety tests.

Seeing as most EV batteries are still being produced in China, let's hope USA can catch up and challenge that global dominance with new battery chemistries that don't rely on Chinese mines and mineral processing. There are obvious reasons why over-reliance on the PRC is not a good idea going forward, and USA is the only country making big enough investments to move the scales at the moment. Hopefully EU will be next. UK is fugazi..

PAY ATTENTION NOW --- YOU'VE BEING LIED TO ALL THE TIME:
A new study found that fueling electric vehicles costs roughly $17 per gallon.
In its paper "Overcharged Expectations: Unmasking the True Costs of Electric Vehicles," the Texas Public Policy Foundation stipulated that the hidden costs of fueling EVs drastically outweigh its low upfront fueling costs. The hidden costs come from an increased burden on the energy grid exerted by charging stations, and an enormous amount of federal subsidies.

Still there is no EV anywhere on earth that charges in 7 minutes or less, the same amount of time it takes me to fully fuel my car. I gave up my buick lacrosse hybrid at 408 mile range and got the Jaguar XJl with a range of over 500 miles. I dont need excessive amounts of speeds for a luxury automobile. I was looking at the Toyota Prius hybrid with a range of 631 miles. Greater than any EV. The Jaguar XF 20d which has a range of 731 miles. No EV anywhere on earth gives you this. I travel to Jacksonville Florida from Lancaster Pennsylvania twice a year. Range and the ability to keep moving is what i need and not available in any EV except for one, which due to stupidity, ignorance and blindness, dosent exsist in the mighty United States of America. Highspeed bullet train technology which is also, (fully electric). This kind of EV only exsists in the more intelligent, and far more advanced countries of the far east and Europe. Too bad. But we can put a man on the moon...lol!! Otherwise keep the EV.

Canoe 400 miles. Kia EV 5 range 373 miles. The fisker EV range 360 miles. The Hona prologue range 320 miles. Hyundai kona, range 197 miles. Mercedes EQE, range 253 miles. Audi Q4 range 265. Genesis GV70 range 350 miles..... Question, so what do you do when you travel long distances over the road? Most EVs not only fail to give you long range but also dosent offer you the ability to keep moving. You would spend more time sitting around than making tracks causing you to reach your destination in a much later time. I really would love to buy an EV but their charging times must be reduced from hours to minutes and i mean fully charge from 0 to 100 in 7 minutes, the same amount of time it takes me to fully fuel my buick lacrosse hybrid which has a range of 408 miles. EVs must increase their range to atleast 4 to 5 hundred miles. However EVs are great for local destinations. The grocery store, to work and so on. But when the time comes to go over the road, Hybrids is the greatest. Toyota Camry hybrid, range 689 miles. Honda Accord Hybrids, range 696 miles. Chevrolet Cruze sedan, range 702 miles. Lexus Es 300h, range 700 miles. The car that has the longest range on a tank of gas is the Jaguar XF 20d, range 731 miles. Now if you were to make a trip to Jacksonville Florida from central Pennsylvania, what car would you take to make the 830 mile trip? Yes all these cars with high mile ranges are gas cars but remember, it takes 7 minutes or less to fuel and that includes running in and grabbing a coffee, giving you the ability to (keep moving). Who wants to sit for 35, 45 plus minutes every 2 to 3 hundred miles on an 800 plus mile drive, especially with kids? Im getting another car spring of 2024. I have not found an EV that offers me the range i need nor have i found one classified as a luxury automobile so im going with the Jaguar XJl, 2021. It's luxurious, and offers me a range of 500 miles with a fueling time of 7 minutes or less. Oh yeah America, highspeed bullet train technology is also fully electric, the greatest EV on the planet. Range is unlimited.......

As someone who actually drives an EV, Kia eNiro, it’s not half the problem people think it is. I need to stop after 2 - 3 hours and charge my car while I do. I rarely wait more that 30 minutes, which passes pretty quickly over a drink and a loo visit. And that with a slow charging car by Tesla standards.

@@devonbikefilms Devon my brother don't get me wrong, I'll tell you right now, I think EVs are kool as shit. I would love to buy one but, i need one that's going to charge from 0 to 100 percent in 7 minutes or less, not 30 minutes or more. I need an EV that is a full size luxury automobile which tesla dosent even make nor have i found anywhere else. I need an EV that gives me a range of 500 miles, minimum, (minimum)!! I need an EV thats made for the serious traveler. I have not found one so i guess I'll just have to simply have patience and waite for the next generation EV and see if these fine qualities and improvements have been applied. I'm a man of pretty automobiles. Rides that have not only a soft and plush interior but a smooth and elegant feel in the ride. There is no EV like this. I just brought a 2021 jaguar XJl. Cost? $30,200. This is what i need to make the 831 mile trip from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville Florida 3 times a year. I travel by night when everyone is home and out of my way. Range is 515 miles and down times to fuel is 7 minutes or less and that includes running in and grabbing a coffee. I only stop once to fuel meaning i have the ability to keep moving which you cant get in any first generation EV. I reach my destination in 11.5 to 12.5 hours which would be 14 to 16 hours or longer by EV. When im not traveling i fuel up once, sometimes twice a month at 7 minutes or less. My schedule is to tight to be sitting around eating for 30 minutes all day. But, let's see if they improve and perfect the new generation EVs.....

What is mind boggling is the fact that the electrical grid is 33% efficient. You have to burn three gallons of fuel to deliver 1 gallons worth of energy on site. A gas powered car is 30+% efficient. A modern gas engine is far less polluting than a coal or oil power plant. Where is the upside? No one is proposing the tripling of the electrical grid to even make this disaster possible.
