i love it sm that it says "progress" instead of "perfect" - perfection is unrealistic to me personally, not everyone thinks the same - which shouldn't matter too, u do u besties. with progress, u do not just learn and enhance in this certain field, u will pick up a looot more with the mindset that u WILL make progress. this is important to me bcuz we can't keep on beating ourselves up for something that isn't even real, can we ?? Couple of weeks ago I've been feeling really down and stressful with school and with my mental health. It gotten to a point where the only thing I love doing with my entire soul started giving me anxiety and that is doing art, specially painting. I started to neglect painting because I was afraid.
I tried reminiscing everything that made me fall in love with art. How every brush strokes we're unique, when the hues hit different with sunlight ,the comforting feeling of painting during rainy days and so much more.
Today I tried taking a walk in our backyard and that's when it hit me, everything that surrounds me is art, the trees, the earth, the sky even the butterflies. I asked myself why should I be afraid of something so magnificently beautiful.
I am grateful for today because I realized art will never die. It will always be alive with my soul.
I can feel the same way about you.. Thank you for being one of my inspirations. God bless!

it's raining in dumaguete rn and i'm grateful for the roof that's on top of our heads and the warmth and shelter that it provides. i am grateful that right now i am calm and that i get to be able to enjoy the serenity the rains gives me without having to worry about how i'll get through the day or what might be left of my house the next morning. i'm grateful that right now i'm dry with a full stomach (just ate hehehe), watching videos on yt and doing schoolwork with materials provided for me by my parents.
side note: i noticed today that it's your videos, your artchives, that make me still. i love that you are quirky yet very grounded and that you love harry potter!!!! i remember the time i subscribed and watched your warner bros studio tour and commented that i cried whenever you cried (bc i too was overwhelmed!). you liked that comment of mine and i was so kilig! i really do feel safe watching your videos (and i am not saying this just because i am entering your giveaway!!!!). i see how genuine you are pursuing your passion in the arts and media, and the way you just speak your mind out in videos!!! love that hahahaha i have watched your growth for a while now and i can't be any more proud of you and everything you are passionate about :)

I’m grateful and thankful that I found ciara’s channel, because I’m not into arts, painting, sketching, journals, music, etc before, like i don’t see myself pursuing this kind of talent because i tried many many times i dont see myself progressing in painting, i love doing things because ciara motivates me to do it, I wanted to learn, I admired the arts and painting of ciara!
I’m a fan of ciara since 2019 December. In the midst of pandemic, 2020 I start watching ciara’s vlog she’s my inspiration why I’m doing this she’s my motivation! Before i actually start painting on the canvas, Since the first time i watches her vlogs and just painting, she always taught us in her videos that “practice doesn’t make perfect, practice makes progress”
I’m a bit scared because i feel like I’m losing my passion for art because I’m not creating something new or im not satisfied enough for what im doing, i felt insecure about my art, like this is not good enough, should I’ll try it again? Im not improving:(, (We try to make mistakes but do not give up!-ciara) but at the end of the day, I realize everything,because I shouldn’t rush myself doing painting, no pressures, learning and enjoying the progress!! Btw, I’m soo happy!because i post on twitter my painting(starry night and she liked my tweet! I tagged her hehe but yuh, On the other hand, I’m grateful also to our almighty God because he gave me the strength to pursue my passion in painting. I’ve always wanted to experiment something new about painting, thank you ciara for using the gouache painting style, it pushes me to buy a gouache palette, thank you for the motivations about painting and pushes me to get out of my comfort zone and experiment something new.😀✨
However, I’m grateful also that I’ve overcome my life in an online class platform, most of my life spending overthinking, breakdowns, and getting lost in my decision, stress, I’m a grade12 student this year btw, but now, I’m a grateful and proud that i overcome this challenge of my life, Ciara is one of my comfort person, when i watches her vlogs about painting it keeps me motivated, i feel genuinely happy for what i am doing, and lastly, im happy because i finally decided on what path i should choose. I love your art vlogs. I used to love art so much and I always used to draw something but as I grew older I got a lot of other responsibilities and I didn’t have time to draw much. And I started to think that I lost my talent for art because I couldn’t draw like how I used to before but your vlogs are so encouraging. I remember this one time how you even mentioned that it doesn’t matter if our art didn’t turn out exactly the way you wanted even as a long time artist but eventually as we practise you will learn to draw it better. It’s really motivating to hear that and it keeps me going when I feel like I couldn’t draw! So thankful for that !
I’m also grateful for my parents and their love! We are sort of separated due to the covid lockdown. But they still often call and check up on me to make sure I’m safe and it’s just blessing to have such good parents!

Hi Ciara! I just want you to know that you inspire me to pick up my paintbrush and sketchbook and to just do it even if it feels like my skills aren't catching up with what im trying to achieve. You push me to have confidence with my process and im very thankful for that.
It hasn't been a year since i started my art journey, i have so much to learn and sometimes it frustrates me that my progress aren't showing even after giving all my best to what i do. But thankfully, a lot of artists here in youtube and other social platforms keeps telling me to just trust my process, like you did, and im always grateful for that reminder. So im just doing what i can right now. It sucks sometimes, some days i really love what i made and im just accepting it all, trusting my process in this journey. Every day, im just grateful that i get to do art again and learn from my little progress.

so what i’m grateful today is - a year ago I started painting exactly this month (May) I doubted myself if i’ll ever improve with my art if I started practicing/doing it atleast daily. The pandemic is the reason why I started and I’m sick of watching series, laying down, doing nothing. Within the year, the journey was a rollercoaster. I was pushing myself too hard and I relate to what u said that at first It felt REPETITIVE and it burned me out. I stopped for a month. I was getting nowhere and it felt like a chore. But I choose to move forward and here I am! experimenting with a lot of stuff and getting out my comfort zone in exploring art, trying also to fit some art supplies with my limited budget lol thats why I joined the giveaway 😂
Back at it again, I’m grateful for myself a year ago for starting. It made me who I am today. It introduced me the world of art, it’s liberating. Also grateful for so many artist, including you Ms.Ciara for inspiring me. I remembered watching your artchive maybe around february or march if I’m not mistaken, it motivated me to start again ‘cause during that month i felt the burnout. Thank you Ms.Ciara for the opportunity to join this giveaway 💛
What she said about feeling like you have to stick to one style and how difficult creating self portraits are made me feel all the feels to the core. I've been subscribed to art channels and art accounts ever since I got to have my own social media accounts and everyone had a distinct style. Everyone was also lowkey obsessed with the topic of having a certain style and people would always say it should be like when people look at your art they'll know it's yours. So just last year I started posting my drawings on ig and I was only doing simple black ink drawings which made me gain followers fast. I felt like I had to keep on doing the same type of artworks to make my feed look like other artists' feed and because the ink drawings has become "my thing". I always knew that art should make you feel something and it should feel liberating but it made me feel like I was stuck in a box and it felt very limiting. It was as if I wasn't even allowed to draw anything else other than black and white ink drawings. Honestly, I always visit Ciara's art acc because seeing all the colors in her works makes me feel compelled to also use colors and go back to painting. I also looked at other artists' profiles whose artworks are the ones I'm usually drawn to and I was like fck it I'll just draw and post what I want even if I'll lose followers I'll be happier with my works. And with the self portrait, it's really difficult and like what she said it's damaging. The self deprecating thoughts and the nitpicking is undeniably a vicious cycle. For me, it even came to a point where I was tweaking some features I didn't like or I was insecure of and of course that made my self portraits look different and not like myself. Anyway all of the difficulties are frustrating but as I grow and change so does my art, I wonder what my future self would think of once she looks back to my artworks now.

the past few d̶a̶y̶s̶ months of my life felt dull and repetitive especially in these times. it's currently the summer vacation but i can't indulge myself into hobbies or any energetic sort of activity. it was draining to live. but today, there was a difference. the electricity was gone at 7pm, and we were forced to stay at the terrace. the sky was dark with glowing stars together with the cold breeze of the wind. as i sat there with my siblings, we played old silly games we loved before. nanay tatay, pass the message, and even had some funny talks abt our memories. in the terrace, i saw our neighbors on their roof who also started to play music on their speaker which made us all enjoy that time. in that moment, with a trace of smile on my face, i realized life is still good. i am living. it is amazing how i felt so enlightened in that dark moment. the noise of the world is defeaning, but today, i am grateful for this simple experience that made me realize to appreciate the little things. i am grateful that i am still here. 💛 @tyraaaxg :)

Indecisiveness is one of my key defining traits.
Of course, I'm not proud of it -- most of my life is spent overthinking and getting lost when making decisions, no matter how irrelevant or pivotal it is. But now that I'm an incoming college student, I realize that I don't have to always know or choose. Along with indecisiveness comes spontaneity, the chance of being anything you want and exploring yourself. I don't have to be anyone, or at least not yet, and I don't have to be certain of everything. That being said, I'm so grateful to have realized this soon enough (s/o to ciara gan + other youtubers' vids too!) so I had been looser with myself when choosing my college courses and schools. I passed to 3 of the colleges I applied to and finishing up my portfolio for the last one. I'm so happy with the path that I chose

Hi Ciara Gan! I’ve been so inspired and driven by your art vlogs and you made me realize how art can have different purpose in so many ways. I am grateful in si many things today, one is, I finished my first ever commission! I’ve been scared to put my art there and show the world how art can heal our mind and soul and most especially now that we are facing a global crisis, where everyone is suffering in their own battles, we have art that can heal us, let’s call it art therapy, it can be in the form of painting, writing a poem, creating music and the likes. Recently, I was also invited to an advocacy project where we showcased our art and showed to all people how art can mend and mold us in growing and expressing our thoughts that we can’t barely speak out to other people. I’m grateful that I made art today, I’m grateful because it is the reason why I became more motivated to do things and survive these battles. I’m grateful because I was just thinking about how much I really wanted to try gouache painting, so I started watching gouache videos and different techniques, all that stuff, and then I clicked into a video of you that I had in my watch later videos, and when it was done, I just wanted to keep watching your videos so I clicked in this one, and you just announced the giveaway, so I’m grateful cause it gave me hope that I can win if it’s God’s will and learn a new art medium that could make me improve my art and keep doing what I love✨✨🌸 (also I’m just going through a “fear of making mistakes on my art crisis” and I’m thankful that you inspired me to not be afraid of trying out many art styles without felling the pressure to stick to a single art style)
I am literally, truthfully, happily, and all of the adjectives out there that exaggerates my gratefulness towards finishing the freakin school year (well I’m close to finishing kind of). This school year was THE hardest. And I am very grateful I survived it. I am grateful that I am sort of growing and healing with God as well. I was so burnt out, repressed, depressed, had a childhood trauma, and everything is dark and twisty inside. But thankfully, I am getting through it all (baby steps still). I am not that expressive so I let it all out through art. Sometimes I write poems, draw, color, and other stuff since this is where I can express, me. I am really thankful for this life, for art, for my dogs, for God, for people around me, for u Ciara (happy birthday ilysm u inspire me soo much with ur art and style to the point na I’m hating u already), and most importantly, I am thankful for myself that I kept on holding on. I think there’s more to life we should explore, making everything a reason to be grateful for. A restless anticipation for something, not even seeing what’s happening, but we can definitely feel it coming.

Hi ate Ciara!! Actually, I realized this while praying cause I was going through another breakdown lol... But I'm actually so blessed and so grateful for the things that I already have. I'm grateful for my friends who are always there for me even when I know that they're tired and have their own set of problems too. Thankful for my cats cause well, I have living beings to accompany me when I'm alone here in our house. For my cousin that treats me as if I'm already her little sister and always got my back, I'm happy and thankful that she exists in my life. Grateful to you and other CZcamsrs/content creators for becoming an inspiration for me to continue and pursue my art! I stopped art back then when I was young and there was always something inside me that wanted to create stuff but I would always put a stop to that urge. That's one of the things that I regret, I quit doing art not until recently, I stumbled on a random video on CZcams about art and I didn't stop myself this time, I got back to my passion and since I did took a break from painting, drawing and all that, my skills weren't good. Like I could literally tell you that I'm so bad in art and I'm not lying at all. I stopped but now I'm continuing it, there's still so so so many aspects to improve on for me but I do recognize my progress that's why I'm thankful that I discovered your channel. Your artchives and pass art related videos always inspires me to go pick up that paintbrush and just start something new. the thing i'm most grateful for today and almost everyday of my life is, i chose to choose myself !!
there were countless nights when i was begging for Him to already take me, countless of nights of asking him when will i wake up without having to say that i'm tired. but now i've realized, there are plenty of reasons for me to live. someone once told me that if you give up and let go of everything now, you'll never have the chance to see yourself happy again. that's why even if it's hard, i always try to choose myself and choose the people that loves and believes in me everyday.
looking back at those nights, i can now finally say that i'm "quite" thankful that i chose to not give up on myself T___T it may be REALLY hard but we'll eventually get there someday, we just have to choose ourselves always 💗

the thing i'm really grateful for today is i'm finally going back to doing art after 6-7 months of not doing anything related to it since i was too occupied with acads i can't even think of anything creative to draw or paint. it was a very hard time for me considering how art is like one of my escape or outlet but my creative juices just went brrr, like i wanted to paint but i don't know what to paint and i can't find the time to do so. and when we had our summer break i thought i could go back to it but the creativity just didn't came back? like i hated my art and it was a very vulnerable time for me. but now i decided to go back to basics and learn everything again and it's working so far, im so grateful for that. as you've said, practice makes progress and i love the progress i have right now.
this is my first time joining giveaways so my fingers crossed. thank you for this giveaway you've come so far you have your merch now!! when you said i'll see you when im 20 i feel like i've grown with you too ugh im so dramatic when i've discovered you for like only a year or so 😭 one thing im really grateful for too is discovering you and your channel. here's to more years with you!

im not really inclined to art that much, nor think of myslef as someone who’ll live by doing art, but im always interested in trying different mediums of art such as painting. i wanna try it so bad but i dont wanna spend money on something that i feel like i wont do in my life later on. i hope you dont get offended but im joining in your giveaway to have “free” access to art materials and, who knows? maybe i’ll get myself to love doing art once ive tried doing it.

I'm grateful that during this pandemic and all of the things that have happened during this chaotic year, I at least have some realizations.
Well first of all, since it's rainy in our location I am grateful for the rain, for cooling me down when it gets too warm and for making it comfy to sleep in on this day. I'm grateful for the rainbow after the rain, for a beautiful sight to look forward to after rain. I am grateful to my family and friends, for being my closest kin in the world and for being my companions in life. I am thankful for today because of my health, for enabling me to do what I want to do and for what I'm about to do in the future.
I am grateful because I feel happy today, for me to soak in the beauty of life. Even if I have some failures or a feeling dissatisfaction with myself, I always think on the bright side and I am always thankful that I can support myself like this. Disappointments in my life are things to be grateful too so that I know the things that matter to me the most. I am grateful today that I let go of the past and forgave others and most importantly, I forgave myself.

It's been a year since I stumbled upon this channel as I browse for art videos. Last year I also decided to come back to art and since then I have been doing it to ease my stress in acads. A lot of people may consider quarantine a bad thing, but I am lowkey thankful tho, because quarantine brought me back to art. I can't even imagine myself without my paintbrushes and sketchbook.
