  • Mary Magdelene has often been a controversial figure in the Bible and she is still causing quite the stir since Dan Brown’s fiction best seller The Da Vinci Code. Today, even Pope Francis is reminding his followers to remember this important Apostle of Jesus Christ.
Was she Jesus Christ's lover or wife? Was she a sex worker? Did she have children with Jesus Christ? Was it really her sitting at the table in Leonardo Da Vinci’s The Last Supper? These are just the beginnings of the questions about her. Here is the untold truth of Mary Magdalene.

I believe the Dan Brown version. In Jesus' day it was highly unusual for a man to be 30 and not married. You risked all kinds of terrible things not being married.
So, I accept that Jesus was married and Mary Magdalene was his wife. And I could even go along that he was like Porthos and depended on a woman for money.
What of their daughter Sara? Is there a modern day lineage that leads to Jesus? Wouldn't that be cool?

It is true that the Catholic Church developed way too many extra biblical teachings, and you, like many other Catholics , do not buy into all the "extras"
Jesus, as God incarnate, who declared He was indeed Jehovah God that Moses talked to on Mt Sinai, the "I AM" , declared the same in the Gospel of John, chapter 8 verse 24. and again in verse 58. You stick with what Jesus says, and you will be fine.

I first learned about the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church when I was 9. In my Catholic Junior School we all had to watch the funeral of Pope John XX111 was broadcast on TV live across Europe, a really major technical challenge in 1963. The commentator was talking about how Catholics in countries such as Brazil, a struggling to emerge 3rd world nation at the time, would give virtually everything they had to the Church. This generally left them destitute, he then went on to explain that only the Papal Ring would be passed on to the next Pope. The regalia that wasn't buried with him, would be ceremonially burned. This regalia was valued at that time at £3,000,000! In today's terms, that's close to £300,000,000! In my early 20s, I raised this with a Catholic Bishop, and for having the temerity to challenge the ethics of this, I was Excommunicated! In addition to that, my parents Catholic Church Wedding records, my elder sister's and younger brother's baptism records, in addition to my own, were all removed! How totally pathetic, petty and spiteful is that?

Best friends are there for each other, no matter what is happening in life and we can see this with all of them, its touchingly beautiful. I go on pilgrimage to her basilica and cave in southern France every year since 2011 and together with my best friend we takes groups on spiritual journeys there ........ it is touching to visit the holy places connected to her, to feel her spirit and guidance and with this to strengthen the Devine feminine path for all of us. The first is likened unto a pebble or small stone, while the other the size of something really big. In classical Greek, the distinction between the two is well known. And second of all, just think about the word "Pope". Did it come from God, or from man? It refers to 'father'. The Bible says to call no man father except your heavenly Father. It speaks of a religious connotation. The word is an abomination.

Also, Mary Magdalene may well be a significant message for all women in the future about their relationship with God and Christ, even more so than Christ's mother, who had already found favour with God plus through her Ancestry and so forth from David.

But there is no doubt that Jesus had a very sympathetic attitude and fondness towards her for various reasons. Jesus was able to see through her and understand her true sincerity and loyalness. Thats why we can see how Mary Magdalene was very concerned and visited the tomb first where Jesus was buried after crucifixation . She does hold a very high position in the Bible for obvious reasons.

She arrived by boat with Joseph of Arimethea at La Maries de la Mer with her 2 daughters, and lived the remainder of her life in France. Look into the church at Rennes-le-chateau and Berenger Sauniere. Very interesting facts are revealed. Even the famous painter depicted Mary by Jesus side at the Last Supper.

All seems correct except not two daughters rather a son ( the little boy mentioned in the bible whom Jesus said don’t stop little ones wanting to come to him) then a daughter. The boy was called Maximillimus) who later became the first bishop of Marcelles, southern France. Magdalene taught the true teaching of Jesus that Jesus is the life force of all the living who is knowable, accessible to all. Moreover she brought over the Shroud of Turin, which isn’t far from Marcelles.

Easter eggs came from the pagans...they worshiped the goddess Eostre, the goddess of spring and fertility...and fertility was represented by rabbits (of course), and eggs, which were colored with designs to appease the goddess...

    • @Nikola-xn3bb
      @Nikola-xn3bb Před rokem

      No, it did not.
Eggs were and are considered to be a symbol of fertility and life by cultures all around the world and for obvious reasons. Infact, the whole reason the pagans considered it to be a symbol of fertility was because of this obvious fact, most animals around us came from eggs and in this modern world, this symbolism makes even more sense since we now understand that even animals like ourselves who were not considered to be born from eggs actually does come from eggs.
Also, if you are somehow trying to play any word games with Easter and some random pagan goddesses' name, just keep in mind that Easter is called Easter only in English. In most European languages, it's called Pascha.
In Eastern churches, it's called by different names. For example, in my church, the Syro Malabar Church, it's called the 'Uyarpputhirunaal'(Malayalam) or Qyamta(Suriyani).
At the end of the day, I just don't understand why people call Easter pagan. Even Christmas is slightly understandable but Easter? Seriously? There is not even a controversy over that, it's just logic. It's celebrated 4 days after the start of Passover. The reason the Catholic and Orthodox dates for Easter is different is because Orthodox church follows a version of Julian calender while the Catholic Church follows Gregorian calendar.

She was close to Mother Mary, She was present at The Cross, She was first to see The risen Christ. I think the series called The Chosen, season 1 episode 1 shows her conversion.

your either kidding or you have totally not read the scriptures where the Roman soldier took a spear and shoved it under Jesus last rib, all the way to His heart, wherein the scripture says: "out came blood and water." The body of Jesus was clearly dead, guaranteed. Oh wait, did He not walk out of the tomb 3 days later ? Yep. How did He do that ? and then walk around for 40 days teaching the disciples.? The only possible answer you or anyoe can come up with is, The Word (John ch 1) who created all things, also had the capacity to bring life back to the body of Jesus. The disciples were a bit taken back, and Jesus said to them that a ghost does not have flesh and bone as you see me have. Jesus who declared He was indeed Jehovah God, in the flesh, proved His power to raise this body of Jesus from the grave. Jesus said : "I am the resurrection and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by me." Therefore, repent of your unbelief, and receive Christ Jesus as LORD

The major point being missed in all this treatment is that Mary Magdalene is not her real name. Mary is her first name but she had no last name as it was not common at that time to have a surname. The last name given to her was "The Magdalene." The Hebrew word for tower is Magdal. Mary was a convert to Christianity as she was up until the time of the Christ's appearance a priestess of sorts for the tower...the tower of Baal. She was a Baal worshipper! Christ forgave her of her sins to the extent that he actually married her to show his followers the meaning of TRUE forgiveness. Everyone...meaning ALL man and woman kind had the chance to be saved from their craven ways. When The Christ died and was resurrected, the closest disciples of of Christ were sent afloat in a boat without oars or sails: the Hebraic equivalent to "wash their hands of this man's blood" because they were not directly responsible for any of these followers' deaths if they should never reach shore. But suffice it to say, these humble followers were men of the sea and they fashioned oars and sails out of what they had on board and made it to the Cote D 'azure in France. From thence came the Magdalenian Society and the Divine Right of Kings from Arthur on down. This Divine Right started with the pregnancy of Mary whose husband was the Christ. When the child was born , he was to be the first king of the land under that Right. But...as in most cases however, without Divine guidance this movement deteriorated into a hellish feudal system - an entropism we all know as the Dark Ages which lasted well over a thousand years.

Bruh, Davinci code is just a fictional work, not an actual history. There is a reason it was criticised so harshly by even secular historians, it's just bad history. These are all just pure statements without substance or any evidence, pure nonsense spread by someone who has no background in this topic. Jesus never married anyone. Those 'gospels' claiming that he did marry Mary Magdalene are rejected unanimously by the Church father and the Church itself and is also recognised by even SECULAR historians to be too late to be even considered a second hand account of the story since it came after the 2nd century. It's so bad that even the writings of some Early Church Fathers are older than these gnostic 'gospels'.

Many Christian media also portray Mary as the only woman who follows Jesus, but according to Mark and Luke, Mary was only part of a large group of women who followed Jesus and the disciples all around Galilee and all the way to Judea and were patronesses who supported them financially. Probably Mary Magdalene was not even the first woman as a disciple, but this title would belong to Mary of Bethany based on what the Gospel of Luke says, but Mary Magdalene probably became the leader of the women group because she is mentioned first among women in the same way as Peter among men.

Thus it was that when faith (in the Tao) was deficient (in the rulers) a want of faith in them ensued (in the people).
How irresolute did those (earliest rulers) appear, showing (by their reticence) the importance which they set upon their words! Their work was done and their undertakings were successful, while the people all said, 'We are as we are, of ourselves!'

If we could renounce our artful contrivances and discard our (scheming for) gain, there would be no thieves nor robbers.

Tao has of all things the most honoured place. No treasures give good men so rich a grace; Bad men it guards, and doth their ill efface. (Its) admirable words can purchase honour; (its) admirable deeds can raise their performer above others. Even men who are not good are not abandoned by it.
Therefore when the sovereign occupies his place as the Son of Heaven, and he has appointed his three ducal ministers, though (a prince) were to send in a round symbol-of-rank large enough to fill both the hands, and that as the precursor of the team of horses (in the court-yard), such an offering would not be equal to (a lesson of) this Tao, which one might present on his knees.
Why was it that the ancients prized this Tao so much? Was it not because it could be got by seeking for it, and the guilty could escape (from the stain of their guilt) by it? This is the reason why all under heaven consider it the most valuable thing.

As a sinner, and Catholic, I am open minded with History, that Europeans have used our Lord’s name to gain land as caused chaos around the world. This chaos still exists today, and it is not reflected onto Our Lord Jesus.
It’s sad for me to see that many intelligent people cannot see this.
Instead, the more intelligent, the more ego and the more proud I see in their text.
It’s just as important though, for me to see the log in my own eye and have no need to take out the speck out of my brothers and sisters.
Learn about the truth what our Lord Jesus did and how he still lives today. Jesus said that he it would be best for us that he leaves and that he would send the Holy Spirit.
He has done this, everything he did was true then and he has never let me down. Even as a sinful as I am.
Everyone here should look into their own hearts instead of looking at what religion which Europeans have used to seek destroy rape and pillage. Slowly the truth is being discovered about this and our Lord Jesus will say to us one day, come as you are I love you!
