- I cant express how much fun I had on this 30 foot Bennington QX 30 while filming at the 2020 Miami Boat Show (Mibs 2020). Never in a million years would i have thought you can go over 60 Mph on a "Pontoon" boat ! This is actually a tri toon and we will have Tommy from Seagate Marine who is one of the dealers show us how awesome this boat really is. Twin Yamaha 425 Xto's had everyone at the show breaking neck. Watching peoples faces confused when you passed them at 60 mph was simply hilarious.Granpa's on a WEEEEEE!!! RIDE !

Pontoons have come a long way. Never in a million years I thought I would own a pontoon but once I got on a good quality pontoon a bennington with a little kick I had to have one and let me tell you from the space to the smooth ride and able to run 40mph hit shallow waters it will be hard to go back to a vhull.

Thats a badass tritoon. Imo one of the best built. Their deckboats are 2nd nature. We own a 2020 Fundeck. W just a 225 Mercury but this machine is off the charts. Big boy toy! #Party Barge

A customer of the shop I work for has a bennington R30 with 2 Evinrude 300s on the back. Thing moves out for a pontoon boat. Nice ride along sweet boat.

I love tritoons and the high performance power that's available... at a hefty price mind you. That one is probably more than $200k. My '07 24' tritoon ran 49 with a 225hp four stroke so I was a bit put off by 60 mph. Granted, that is a 30' with a 10' beam but 850 ponies of V8 power I thought could squeeze out more mph. People do underestimate these boats and how they perform.. lots of fun.
I mean its a lot bigger and move overbuilt than most pontoons, Ive ridden on one of these things on a river. The interiors are REALLY nice and they have a lot of features that other pontoons dont

This is the Video that I needed to see while I am shopping for boats. Living by Lake mead and the potential for 4-6ft swells when weather turns bad fast, I am always worried about how a performance pontoon would do in real chop and waves. Seeing this in the ocean makes me feel more comfortable. Very impressive.
Say if there was no Lake Mead, where is the nearest body of water, Lake Powell ? Have a nice day.
@@keithscudder7136 the department of Reclamation stated that Lake Powell is more important than Lake mead and has cut off water to mead even more. So yes, Powell is a great choice, below Mead you have Mojave and Havasu.
Then into utah you have Sand Hallow, and a few smaller lakes to have fun with the family.
well you can make pontoon a race cat if you oversize the pontoons a little bit and make bottom of the tubes flat and steps at the back.

I live in Texas Houston and this is the one I've been looking at I'm going to have to get two of them because my backyard has a lake, my second home my other home is in Lubbock but when does virus is over I know exactly what I want I've been looking at quite a few of them and I'm understanding and looking at the things I like especially that joystick, for navigating to park the boat I got a boat dock on my new home that I'm purchasing in Sugar Land

They really are meant for Rivers and Lakes, not so much the ocean. Theres a guy here with one of these on the Three Rivers with two 450R Mercs on it and hes cracked 80 with it

What an amazing invention my goodness talk about a thrill but I know it doesn't come at a cheap price. What would something like that run????? I mean I'm thinking of taking out some of the bench seats and install seats with seat belts...

In America back in the days your Grandapa would have a pontoon but with a small engine cause it was slow so that's why people say Granpa's pontoon boat. Now they are fast and nimble

Great video.. I just got a tri-toon for myself last year but it's nothing like that one.
Not knocking The Bennington pontoon boat but if you are looking for speed and performance we saw the Playcraft 30 foot model X at Lake of the Ozarks last month just got a record for high performance at almost 80 miles an hour with two mercury motors. With just a little bit more horsepower than those Yamaha’s.
They playcrafts are amazing to. Tho this thing from what a read handles alot better

Nice boat, but it better do more than 61-62 with 850HP! Those new big Yamahas are too damn heavy. Hell, I can break 50 with my bimini up on a 27' with a single F300.
Thing is, Bennington Boats are REALLY overbuilt and the interiors are insanely nice. So their kinda heavy.
@@TheMrLebaron The Q series is nice. I have an '18 R series. Not impressed at all for an $80k boat. It's had SEVERAL warranty issues under 200 hours. Had a '16 Godfrey SanPan too. There were a lot of things I'd combine from the two to make a quality boat. Bottom line is all these companies have entry, mid and high end lines. To say Bennington is over built though...I very much disagree.
@@342boss Their higher end ones very much are compared to junk from companies like Starcraft. Lower end...well the only good lower end Pontoons are Sun Tracker. Its a get what you pay for thing

How the hell do you turn like that in a PONTOON BOAT ?
Tritoon, I have a pretty quick Pontoon Lake Boat ( XP3 with a 250 on it ), it'll tilt pretty crazy for what it is. Its a Triton as well at WOT ( which is about 35ish kinda ) I can tilt it to the point I can touch the water next to me
