The horn fuse is intact and I removed the horn and tested it with the battery and it is working. Where should I check on the steering wheel? Could the szl module be faulty

It was ringing when I turned the steering wheel to the left, but it wasn't ringing when I turned the steering wheel straight. it doesn't work at all anymore

Oh, I see now. I think you may have an issue with the horn contact. I would check that.

did your steering wheel feel as if you had no power steering or were you just getting the code?

In my e60 vehicle, the horn sometimes sounded and sometimes did not. It's completely broken now. Could this be the reason

I really doubt it, but it will mess with servotronic steering, traction control and other related systems.

Hey buddy i have a 2011 bmw x6m and iam having the servotronic malfunction. I changed the servotronic sensor which is located next to the rack in pinion and i still have the same problem any advice.

If your car is tuned, that might be messing with your servotronic, that turned out to be my issue several months later. Also, you may need to have it reloaded so the system can re-calibrate. If you know anyone good with bmw service software, they should be able to help. Without using the bmw service software it's really tough to say. I wish I had a better answer bud, but these cars are pretty sensitive with sensors and faults.

This bodystyle (e60) was known for horn failure. I replaced mine and didn't have another problem.

It was certainly nerve racking. I recommend taking your time and lay out everything as you go so you can easily remember how to reassemble it all.

It did, but the problem returned a few months later. I'm gonna try it again before I buy a new one.
