I am hoping for unequal romance. Sims should not feel the exact same about each other in every relationship.

i...never actually thought about this until you said that and now im kinda obessed with the idea lol. like as a gay male simmer i kinda love the idea of having my gay sim develop feelings for his best friend but his best friend is straight so its unrequited love. that could add SO much storytellling potential and tension in my games and im kinda here for it lol.
didnt they add releationship bits to kind of help with this, tho? i remember you could have a crush on someone (a sentiment or relbit, i believe?) but yeah the romance bar should be unique to each sim. I’d be the god of rizz if people IRL shared romance bar
I would love blind-dates to return. Making waves could be surfing?? a big stretch of a hope, but the Sims has considered making a Brazillian beach town...

They basically have surfing animations done with Snowy Escape Snowboarding right? Then I'd say it increases the possibility if they can recycle content.😉
I hope Neighborhood stories is updated with this. I want sims can marry by themselves, make romantic relationship by themselves more than now. except mine.
For legacy game play this would be nice. Espesually when I move a sim out.
as a console player who cant use mods, 100% this! i feel like the stories feature could be expanded upon so much more to give the worlds and unplayed sims so much more life.
please don't let us down sims 4, i know your really good at that but just don't lol

maybe the expansion is about honey moons and the new world is a destination world? tho i hope i'm wrong bc that should have been part of the wedding pack and i'm tired of content being divided in several packs and then not working correctly together
If they don't include chemistry in a ROMANCE themed pack, than no thank you. I'm going to sit back in the corner for another year 😐
It would have to be better than WW if they hope to sell this pack to those of us who already us the mod.
At this point it would not surprise me if the Romance themed expansion pack turns out to be a wedding themed pack that actually works. They could call it "My Wedding Stories for Reals This Time...Pinky Swear It Works" And they could even throw in another selling table, kids activity table, laptop, toilet etc to sweeten the deal

I hope it’s a Buenos Aires inspired world! It’s considered the Paris of South America because of all the art Nouveau architecture. The kit may be hinting toward that.
I'm hoping those are hotels that are being shown.
The art doesn't scream Paris (although the wine bistro does) but a Paris world could be fun. French bread, romantic fondue, chocolate hearts, champagne, crepe cart, french berets etc. Ideally it would be French hotels,online dating and honeymoons
Yeah I am not getting Paris at all from this. I think it's Mexico. The building and terrain colors feel it's from Mexico. Spanish is a romantic language ^-^
the vibes i am getting for the world is Mexico rather than Paris. It just doesn't feel French to me (french is my first language but I'm not from France tho lol). The colors of the buildings, the terrain, the banners connecting the builds... it's giving spanish that's for SURE! It could be Spain but I'm feeling it's Mexico.
Interesting thought. But I also read it could be the French Riviera. I saw pictures and I think it makes sense.
@@amykitia After googling the French Riviera I can totally see what you mean, those buildings do look similar. For me what seals the deal on Mexico still are the banners between buildings, you can find pictures on google with the exact same type of colorful squared banners, it looks literally the same. And lots of colorful buildings too. There's also the color of the terrain that gives a Mexican vibe rather than French. It looks hot and arid but who knows if that's even relevant but who knows if that's even relevant. I keep going back and forth haha, the buildings do look quite similar to the French Riviera and it could fit but those colorful banners man, exactly the same! Can only find those in pictures from Mexico.

These four buildings I saw after it says “One Flirtatious Expansion Pack”, it makes me think of Latin America and the Caribbean islands. So yeah! There’s only 19 days until National Caribbean-American Heritage Month, as well as the season of summer coming in 38 days.
YES! I instantly thought of Mexico. The colors of the builds and the terrain makes it feel Mexican to me.
What if the romance EP ends up like Growing Together? It was one that Simmers at first thought should have been a base game update but ended up being a favorite. Also, I think one of the possible free updates will be to one of the base game families like the Landgraabs.
I think at least some of Growing Together should’ve been a free update. Especially milestones and social compatibility. This romance pack is already giving me that same feeling.
@@IronSeagull Same. And there are still mixed feeling about Growing Together TBH. I got it on sale, am a family player, and still can't decided how "worth it" it was. I honestly think it made infant care worse and over complicated.
@@TheDawnofVanlife tell me about it, im trying to teach my infant all of the milestones before i age him up but within like an hour of being awake hes already screaming that he wants to sleep again because his energy is empty. makes it REALLY hard to teach him anything lol.

I think hotels like you mention would make sense for a romance EP that way honeymoons could be an actual thing with planing and mood let’s involved. The cafe and beach/pool items make sense as activities for newly weds 🤔
I think turn on and turn offs and social comparability would still work differently enough to be justified as a new feature.
Turn on/off could focus more on superficial things such as appearance preferences, tone of voice, income (perfect opportunity to bring back the gold digger aspiration),scent (introduce a new activity and skill -Perfumer) and career (not just for the money but also the uniform 😏)
Almost forgot occult preference also this should not be group into a single category a sim attracted to vampires would probably be turned off by werewolves etc
they can give use a skill/perk tree system about love like turn ons and turn offs like sims 2 and attractive system and they include turns on and off that related with love from romance or love family or friends more then just 3 turn ons and offs but skill/perk tree system turn ons and offs.
I would also love a matchmaker like in sims 2 because it could be chaotic
Not too excited that the expansion pack is a romance pack, I feel like it would be better suited as a game pack. What build buy will be included? Will it be a destination type of world?

I'm hoping that pool slides are in the expansion pack since couples go in the pool together.
I don't have much of an opinion on what kind of pack they release each quarter. This version has been out so long and many of the things we want have been given to us. I also don't have to remind anyone about the game glitches that follow the release of new packs. I do hope we will get many more requested features and I do hope that future worlds cover some of the locations we haven't seen yet in any Sims version.
I am very excisted to see what that romance is about, because it sound so lag cluster. that I hype to see what it offer.
I'm not sure what it means, but there's a big MAP+MOVING theme here. the dashed lines leading from one location to another and then the ending bit being a heart, the dashed movement lines and "make your move" makes me think there will be something that has to do with falling in love and moving somewhere together. or maybe it's honeymoons? Idk but I bet it means something lol
So I watched the road map video, the song that came up on Shazam was by Ester Na, and Sadie Currey, so I went to look Sadie’s music. It’s from an album called Sultry and Soulful. I wonder what this means for the roadmap clues.
The town could be Paris or could be the other european city of love: Venice (with the famous Trevi Fountain)
Could it be something like a romantic/ flirtatious Monte Carlo theme for the expansion pack? Set around the city and casino nightlife. I see playing card symbols (diamond and heart shapes) in the silhouettes around the image announcement video, which makes me think of a casino.
They usually introduce a new build feature in an EP. I wonder what it will be with this one? Spiral staircases have been a popular request for a long time and may make sense in a city based pack?
I mean, maybe they’ll give us poly relationships that doesn’t involve the free love thing or cheating. If they go into various types of relationships. They’ve talked about being interested in exploring that in the future. But I’m not holding my breath.

We already had a France inspired world in the sims 3 I wish they would explore different European destinations. Italy or Spain for example can be considered just as romantic depending on what you do.
But tbh a new world is not a must for me I would rather they focused resources on features that expand on gameplay for the game as a whole instead of being tied to one world.

100% this! i would gladly give up having a new world in a new expansion pack if it meant more resources could be spent on the gameplay and making it available to all worlds. to this day i rarely play with snowy escape because i just get so irritated that i have to travel to THAT world if i want to ski, snowboard, or rockclimb. i HATE when they make gameplay that can only be done in the world it comes with...unless its jungle adventures cuz i like that pack and i felt like the features made sense to be tied to that world only lol.

I was disappointed in the items listed for the pool kit (I wanted a pool slide!) so seeing the waterfall rocks is a bit more positive for me.
If we do get more romance I hope there's a way to make it so that we can choose if a sim falls in love with a sim after getting to know them. (IE all their traits) I'm not hopeful but if they could at least do more with sexual oriantation that would be interesting to see.
I want date many sims at one time without having a negtivy mood pop up

They could have just cut down the number of expansion packs a year or give us less kits but nooo we have to drop either stuff or game packs.

It’s better than it was. I changed a residential rental to a gym without the lot corrupting. Haven’t had any crashes lately either. Still haven’t played that many days yet though

@@IronSeagull@IronSeagull is the only other place associated with the Romantic setting I could think of. Of the two, I would prefer Paris, but as they like doing America, it is an outside chance of Niagara Falls.
If there was an actual waterfall (not the pool one) on the roadmap then maybe I could see it. But as someone who lives only a couple hours away from Niagara Falls, I don’t usually associate it with romance

Because when you look at the narrative the roadmap is telling, it’s quite clear it’s talking about romance specifically. Even mentions a “provocative” plunge, woohoo, and “make your move.” Not sure what else to tell you…
