World will probably be Mexico City inspired. Papel Picado can be seen, the houses are colorful with flat roofing (suggesting warm climate), we see lakes and rivers but no beach, so we can erase south american beach towns. It might be a stretch but they mention a fountain, and near Mexico City is a well-known fountain that can be found in ... the "Romance Alley" (Callejón del Romance).
As for the Kits: French Café and some Mediterranean inspired pool stuff.

I also thought of Mexico City. One of its neighborhoods called Roma has a lot of colorful art deco architecture and is famous for good bars and cafés. There is even a fountain in the center of this neighborhood. Another hint could be the purple trees: During spring you can see the jacaranda trees blooming purple all over Mexico City. The arch could be inspired by the Monumento a la Revolución.

A romance expansion is actually insane, though. I’m never the type to complain about the game (because I’ll play it regardless, never really cared all that much) but an entire expansion on a relationship system is so EA I literally cannot 💀

That is my thought. $40 is a lot of money for romance. Especially when so much of it is already existing, with crushes already there and My Wedding Stories, and Romantic Gardens, and jewelry already here, and parties already here, and we already have a romantic fountain in Tartosa, I'm just so lost what the new item is. And how could I forget, the Love Festival!! All these things that already exist, and no idea what could add up and be on-theme to meet that price tag. My fear initially seeing the buildings was hotels, which I know people want, but $40 is a lot....

Imagine being a couples counselor and Bob and Eliza come to see you and bring Iggy... and now you have to deal with a toddler in your office while addressing the relationship issues. I think if they had a chance to bring their infants and toddlers instead of arranging childcare, those playpen fences would see use in rebuilds of the work lot to include places to pen up poorly supervised client kids...
A dating EP really calls for a dine out refresh. Hot Date was my favorite expansion as a kid so I really hope they take a lot of inspiration from that 🥺

If its romance centered pack i'd like something like desires and attraction system? Online dating, more developped dates as 'event', online dating a must ofc, more woohoo spots and I think it'd be fun if they added the heart bed and hot tub

i'd love for more sexuality/romance options to be added (basegame ofc)! one of my friends mentioned polyamory/open relationships which would be super cool, sims are already super weird about infidelity/multiple partners, some get moodlets and some don't, plus the fear of being cheated on, it would be great for gameplay to actually decide that preference for your sims!

Okokok. Theory: For one of the destination kits we get a new lot type - Hotels. And MAYBE, in the romance pack we get the ability to go to honeymoons at vacation rentals without the hotels and to hotels with the hotel kit. There was a wedding arch at the pool so MAYBE?…
The kits are only ever either CAS or BB kits so definitely not a new lot type in a kit!
it's giving a romantic getaway in Italy & Rome! Also as someone who helps clean pools I'd LOVE to see more build items for pools! like a hot tub that can somehow be combined with the pool, even just a waterfall would be iconic. I feel like there are so many things they can do with pools!
YES. hottub addons would be so cool it would really make a pool look different every time because the pools at the moment are so boring imo
I would love more pool build tools... both fancy mansion/adult location things like integrated hot tubs (or just Sims 3 style in ground hot tubs that are easier to integrate into a fancy pool deck or pull off glitches with) and swim-up bars (like in Sims 3 Island Paradise) and pool stairs and fancy water features and water activities, and more "public pool" and "family waterpark" variants of those items and items like water toys for little guys to climb about on, pool stairs and ramps like real public pools have, variable size or just larger capacity hot tubs for community lot installations, waterslides and old style diving boards, "shallow end" or kiddie pool tools for creating an area for toddlers and infants, curved pools, that damn pool volleyball net from Sims Freeplay, just, y'know, stuff to make more realistic public and home pools. Oh, and more classy looking versions of the existing splash pad stuff and any new kid and baby water stuff would be neat, y'know, sad beige mum, baby water play edition, for adding infant and toddler accessible space to your fancy upscale resort pool or your mansion's pool deck without ruining the mature and classy vibe with gaudy rainbow kid toys.
And this isn't really "pools", but I'd love just more stuff for children and toddlers to have access to and unique kid fun with at rather "adult" locations.
as for a job you can be a romance guru, (helping ppl find relationships) or marriage counselor. as for deaths easily be dying of heartbreak or dying of loneliness
Dying from a breakup would fit with the other emotional deaths. There's a lot of hints about nectar though... maybe a death from too much nectar? Not very child friendly though

I don't think they'll have deaths like those for the same reason in the base game you can't die of sadness. It's just a little too real and not silly enough for the Sims 4. The vast majority of Sims 4 deaths are silly things (though some are a bit gruesome, namely poisoning deaths (for the Sims)).

i think something that'd be hilarious is a matchmaking career. or some kind of relationship counselor. like you could totally screw up in-game townie's relationships and i think that would be SO funny

:( not that all polyam relationships are, but polygamy specifically is usually derived from religion like mormonism (I know it's a very specific sect and the main branch of the LDS basically disowned fundamental mormonism) and there's absolutely no religion in the sims. The sims is becoming a lot more progressive for representation but I don't think they're quite that far yet unfortunately. Maybe some day 🥲

According to some rumors I heard a while back, Sims 4 Base Game was apparently going to have a WooHoo Skill, but it was cut during development because the devs thought it'd be too raunchy. Apparently there's still some elements of that hidden in the game though, like a Sim that's more experienced at WooHoo is more likely to get fireworks in their WooHoo animations and better moodlets after-the-fact. I wonder if this EP is going to include a full, not-hidden WooHoo Skill, or maybe that's still too raunchy...?

- spiral staircases
- pool stairs
- a retro / historical pack from any era
- can i restate that we have HORSES but no WHEELCHAIRS
- you're more likely to use a wheelchair than a horse
- update the pets maybe
- literally anything other what an white american man thinks i want
Really think this would have been the perfect pack to implement hotels or guest houses. We already have rentals so the main component is already in the game. So this being a Sims 4: Romantic Get Away or something where you can go for a long weekend together, stay in a hotel for your honeymoon or start a cute b&b/guest house together as newly weds would have been perfect for this. The love bed, online dating etc could come with it too. We would get so much for our money and would feel like a real expansion pack. Obviously I’m dreaming here but come on EA! It was staring you right in the face!

Never watched other simmers or really watch other people game in general, but your decorating choices are mind blowning. Your footage is hilarious. I can't believe what you come up with. I just want heart shaped stuff. All the cheesy Valentine's caliber junk. I mean obvi I want the iconic heart stuff from past games, but I also just want enough heart stuff to decorate any room as a cheesy love den and to make any sim look like hearts obsessed little kid me - and I want all the perfectly innocent heart graphics and patterns on kid, toddler, and infant clothes too. I want matching tacky sparkly heart tat! I want those dollar store headbands that had variations for every single holiday like 16 years ago, at least a Valentine's heart variant if not a whole year's worth of at least the basics! You know that ridiculous Christmas tree costume for toddlers in Seasons? I want a cartoon heart toddler costume, or toddler hat, or all ages hat... or pet hat for all pets of all ages and sizes, similar to the bread/sandwich hat for the cats. Heck, I want matching "silly Valentine's teddy bear holding a heart in one paw" costumes for infants, toddlers, and children!

Especially since the "ask to be woohoo partners" they added. I mean, there could be like "ask to be Joined woohoo partners" or something? The language would need to be specific to differentiate between cheating and becoming a poly relationship so people don't do the wrong option on accident somehow, but in general it just seems easy to distinguish between monogamous relationships and polyamorous relationships by just asking with the feature that already exists.
However!!!! I would hate for you guys to have to pay $40 just to see yourself represented in the game though, so I hope it's an update and not a paid feature.
Literally SO REAL!! My Sim autonomously flirted with another one in front of her partner, and he got the fear of being cheated on for like 2 weeks. I couldn't get rid of it until I bought the fear be gone spell. Let Sims be poly!!

Anyone else feel like the upcoming build kits are so mish mosh because the sims 4 team was directed to squeeze as much money as possible out of the game before the competition gets going too much? Life by you is coming out in early acces in the summer and Paralives next year.
A lot of people are saying the kits look like left over stuff that didn't make it into other packs.
I don't know, just a thought. It's making me not want to buy until I know for sure what happens to the sims 4 after the competition is fully here and I've seen how everything develops.

@@thri11ers horse ranch and for rent brought actual useful mechanics / life states to the game. having to pay $40 for more romance and romantic interactions is a lil slimey… as is having to pay for fully fleshed out mechanics that should already be in the game like with parenthood and my wedding stories.
@@pocchco Apologies if my previous comment came off as rude! But yeah The Sims rn is really unfortunate. Especially with things like Parenthood and Growing Together adding things that should've been implemented already. (An example being that you have to buy growing together for the changing stations.)
sims 1 and 2 did have romance/dating packs (hot date & nightlife) but both also offered a LOT of other content, most of which we have in the game already because they split everything into a million packs. so I honestly have no clue what it would even offer at this point.

ngl, my first thought about an expansion pack for romance is "oh my god, are we finally getting an attraction system?" That might be too much to hope for though
This could be such a dream pack with:
- a new world based off of Paris or Rome
with hotels
where sims can go on a honeymoon
- around 3 new woohoo locations such as fountain, pool, sea
- one-sided crushes and other sims flirting up and pursuing my sim cause I'm bored of having to initiate all the time, including stuff like a secret admirer, an annoyingly persistent suitor and receiving gifts and love letters (like in the Sims 2 after successful dates), especially my teen sim when they open their locker
- an attraction system - would have been great tied together with a High School Years popularity system but that ship has sailed
- childhood crushes
- online dating
- matchmaker career
- heart bed and heart tub
Along with online dating, a "speed date" lot feature would be so fun! Maybe it could be applied to certain lots, like bars, lounges, restraunts. And every say, Saturday night an event is on that lot that brings in a crowd of sims who are all flirty, and you can ask certain speed dating type of questions while there.
NO WAY!! Hopefully sim dinner dates will be minimally broken now. But maybe that’s too much to ask😂
The pack will probably just have new and exciting game-breaking bugs. 😂
There are a lot of things I'd love to see, but I don't actually have any hopes for anything atm. Regarding the nails, tho! It wouldn't surprise me if they made a dedicated nail saloon. You can get your nails done, professionally, at a spa, but it feels realistic to me to have a tiny nail saloon by the street.
I really want:
- surfing, 🏄
- more kid and toddler activities
- more water front lots
- resorts and water bars
-online dating
- more careers, esp. a therapist career, resort manager and love guru.
- round pools, round hot tubs - also the heart tub, functioning heart bed, more tropical furniture and plants, motorcycles and mopeds.
- more diverse worlds would also be nice.
- more recipes and seeds for plants from other parts of the world.
- more swimming locations esp. around waterfalls
- more vacation locations
The amount of "destination" and vacation type of stuff they've mentioned in this i think maybe could hint at hotels?? i feel like its a bit of a stretch but some of the stuff in this reminds me of the Japanese love hotels and i think that would be a neat way to add hotels in the game. But i feel like if they were to add hotels then they would make it the main focal point of the teaser and advertisement

I loved Sims 3 Island Adventure where you could operate the hotels and decorate them as well. It would be wonderful if this was a hotel get away package so that we could have that again. It made the game so much fun!

For a new career they could add matchmaker - it could be like the freelance gigs with Paranormal or Dream Home Decorator where you meet with the client and then try to find them a match. There could be different levels of matchmaking gigs were maybe you just need to help a teen find a date to prom or someone needs a date for Love Day (cross pack compatibility with High School Years and Seasons) but then other gigs could be harder like helping a sim find their soulmate.

The ✨️only✨️ reason why i love living in the balkans is the fact that noone cares if you download games from...well..you know...special websites that offer all of these games kind of illegally. You will never ever face any issues regarding it. I always have full Sims games and update the latest expansion pack like two days after it is released. 😂

I wonder if the world for the Expansion Pack will be a Latin American/South American world. Selvadorada in Jungle Adventure is purely a vacation world, so there's still a lack of that type of residential world. I could see the Sims team making the connection of warm weather/lush destination = ~romantic~ (to tie into the romance theme).
That would be amazing but it's probably gonna be a France or Italy inspired world. Since Paris is called "the city of love" and all of the wine and water hints.
Pov: youre the sims team watching simsie intensely to figure out when shes going to be out of town and they can drop the pack

i bet that the expansion pack is going to be set in the sims version of paris. it’ll be interesting, but it’s a bit of a disappointment. i really wanted something based on south america or new zealand
What on earth would they add for New Zealand? Genuinely curious - I am from New Zealand, they already have Polynesian vibes (sort of) in Solani, and the Pākehā (white colonialist) side of NZ is like baby Britain with less rain, we have English-ish worlds and influence.... What else would you want to see to represent NZ?
I think the kits could be building kits for different architecture. Similar to to the Courtyard Oasis.
Maybe Greek and Spanish architecture would be great.

If the building hints toward the vibe of the new city it's giving either Latino-America (esp Mexico) or Spain, but I like this kind of vibe in general and I'm so happy about it. All of these cultures are so beautiful and colourful and happy. Salvadorada wasn't enough for me that's for sure!

It says destination kits because their style is based on a part of the world. Like the café looks like a parisian café. The pool stuff, I’m not sure.

She gets the packs for free, and talking about them is her job. I think she has empathy for the players and agrees that the packs are over-priced (talking in this video about how good it is to get free stuff), but I don't think she wants the packs to stop. It doesn't personally hurt her that they're expensive because she gets them for free as a youtuber. If she found this situation hellish she's probably choose to make youtube videos about something else, or look for a different kind of job.

The pictures are giving me a very city vibe. So I was looking up what it might be based off and buenos aires is apparently a city of love and those buildings have a very Spanish architecture. AND the city has famous architecture is linked to the city. But rome is ALSO a city of love and is home to one of the most famous fountains. You would think it would be paris based but I'm thinking not. I think it could be Miami (very cluby and pools) or maybe like prauge or venice architecture?
The houses with the banderines/paper strings ( i have no idea what they are called) and that thing that looks like a food cart remind me of Mexico, may be it's a Mexico inspired world?
