YES, I noticed that too!!! I've always hated how they added some bottoms into the feminine category but never actually made them fit right on feminine-frame Sims. I was wondering if I was imagining things when simsie put the shorts on the female sim and they actually looked normal! I hope they fix all the clothing with that problem

On your comment about coverage- it is so hard to dress sims and have no skin showing. Every time I think I found something that covers enough for a sim to wear a hijab, I turn them over and the entire back is cut out or just a few strings holding it together

Yeah modest clothing is hard to come by if you have a modest sin
If you’re able to download mods, they have turtlenecks that are technically considered gloves in the game so you can wear them underneath whatever you want. It’s not a solution to the swimwear problem specifically, but I love using it under dresses and tops for my more modest sims and it looks perfectly normal; I remember wearing turtlenecks under absolutely everything when I was younger.
Yes. I prefer clothing with less skin showing, especially for my teen sims. For some reason most of the cute items are very cropped and transparent. Hopefully, the more it's brought up, the more likely they'll add more modest clothing. At least a few items per pack.
More swatches of just about anything would be SO welcomed! Rugs and beds especially. The rugs in this game are PITIFUL.

OMG YES- they are either the wrong size (like including when sized down/up) or the color is wrong. I feel like I can never find a good rug.

I feel like the “ Eliza shirt “ and swimsuit bottoms would be good for an elder or someone who just wants more coverage. Also I really appreciate all these new swatches!! This is a pretty good update in my opinion.

i wish sims had more plain, darker swatches. especially in daily wear or weather specific sets. simple grays, blacks, navys, dark greens or reds, etc, would be such a game changer. most of cas is obnoxiously bright, patterned, or doesn't have any plain neutrals at all, so theyre difficult to match. i'm glad we got swimsuits, at least
Or some tucked in tops that work with certain specific skirts.
this is not even remotely a problem when you have packs, if you don't have many I suggest you just google "anadius sims 4" and 🏴☠️ it

It's not a kit, it's an update, it'll upload to your game by itself if you're connected to the internet

I always appreciate new swatches. Especially, since I wasn’t fond of the patterns. Love the basic solid colors. The toddler swim suit swatches are cute!
I tried making a sim only with base game recently (which I didnt do for years) and the main problem I noticed is bade game jeans are AWFUL. We need an update on those desperately. You know, I mean: some more basic oversized jeans, bell-bottomed trousers, maybe a skirt and like some nice pastek swatches, classical plain swatches etc. Also they coukd have a high waist variant and a low waist variant. I think that would be SUCH a great, big developement for base game
the shorts and tank tops could also double as pjs!!
those new swimsuit pieces, like the tanks and the longer board shorts, are great for gnc sims!
and yes, we definitely need new swatches for the furniture, especially the beds!

Yes! One thing that I get but will forever bug me about the game is how the binders they added are considered shirts, and if I remember correctly they show up under sleepwear! PSA for anyone who binds, is thinking about binding, or knows someone in either category, pretty much the biggest no for binding is sleeping in it! Second only to maybe “over binding” aka getting a size too small for your measurements.
@@greenbeantm1096they’re also under athletic wear!! i know the sims was trying to be inclusive but adding binders that don’t function as binders (just being shirts/not being able to go under tops/NOT ACTUALLY WORKING) and then putting them in categories that are dangerous irl is weird.
@@kaylaabendroth1174 I once created a separate either sleep or daily wear option that was basically a “lounge wear” because I just wanted to finally use it 😂 I really wish they’d add lounge wear as a category, it’d be a perfect use for the binders!
Edit to add: they should just move them to whatever category they put the blood sugar monitors in.

The swim shorts for feminine frames fits way better than before. As someone who plays with a lot of trans and gender non conforming sims that's huge.
I need the Sims team to learn how "In" that pastels and muted colours are. The base game is chock full of bright, bold colours, which is great at times, but I want my sims to be trendy! I thought they were learning with High School Years, but with this drop... the kids look great! But the adults... I'm not a big fan.
they have some good neutral swatches in there as well as bright ones.

But also, bright colors could just be reflexive of the world they want to build. Your sims might not be trendy with the real world, but if everyone’s wearing bright colors in the sims then they’re trendy in their world. And I say this as someone who most commonly wears black irl and fairy often has my sims do the same.
somthing i noticed while playing today; there's finnaly a base game swim shirt for toddlers. i always feel slightly uncomfy about having my kids/toddlers being shirtless so i am so incredibly glad for this (even if i have island living and one other option; a base game version is always better)
Kayla is so right about swatch updates, I am always excited about recolors of existing build/cas items!

Yes to all this! What I want is more floors and walls, everything is either too bright (the plain painted walls for $2) or too dull (BG linoleum and BG flower wallpaper) I know that we just got some swatches added for Horse Ranch, but I wanna see more dusty pastels and nuanced mids.
a foundation update would be nice as well :) i feel like most of the foundations i gravitate towards are from packs, so it would be nice for base game players to have nicer foundation swatches

It could be waaay over-speculating, but the font for the swimwear announcement gave me 70's energy, which makes me wonder if the romance pack will have a more 70's vibe (which may match the possibility of a really over-the-top heart shaped bed and hotub lol) Imagine if they got a sims version of Marvin Gayes "let's get it on"!

I like that they have done the "new" tops for the swim category. I've been mixing and matching tank tops, tee's and sports bras with swim bottoms for awhile now so it's nice to see some new colors.
I really really want them to add more hair colors! Not just extra hairstyles that have more colorful swatches, but like actual new base hair colors that work every hair style! I think it’s pretty ridiculous how few alternative colors we have

As an auburn person, would be nice if we had an option that wasn't neon orange or blood red. A more realistic darker brown/red would be really nice

That toddler one-piece is completely new!! And that first tank on the children, that was always in the base game :)
***My #1 swatch update request is that one thinner base game siding that has a missing green swatch, the version with the edge trim has a nice darker green swatch. The version without an edge piece does not have that swatch. Every other swatch has a matching version - just that one darker green color is missing. It’s been frustrating me since the game released!!!***
As someone who has only ever bought one Sims 4 pack I am always SO grateful when they do swatch updates but one thing that bugs me is that that one wrap around party style top now has three different versions, a shiny one, a matte one AND one with the new swatches 😭😭

Ngl the Sims team really killin it with the new CAS stuff recently, with keeping the styles in trend to real world fashion but also the quality has been getting so much better,,, my sims look like they're wearing soft fabrics instead of soft plastic now,,, amazing,,,,,

I’m actually surprised by how much I like the new swatches and swim suit pieces. I’m never NOT gonna appreciate a swatch update, and I just claimed Blooming rooms 🎉 also funnily enough exactly 2 months ago (March 14th) I claimed the backyard stuff pack. Love funny coincidences like that.

i'm so happy that they added new swatches!! i sometimes use swimwear as just normal tops (especially with toddlers and child sims) and i love to use that tube top shirt as a normal non-formal shirt, but now there's so many swatches of it!!! (also happy two millions simsie!!!)

For me it would be the cheapest base game bed that’s still considered comfortable. The cheapest one ends up not being worth it because they complain all the time, so I always spring for a step up wherever I can to avoid that sort of thing.
I hate that cute beds have a low comfort level. You should be able to upgrade the beds without a high handiness skill.

Kids furniture swatches, carpets/rugs, couches, loveseats and armchairs, kitchen cabinets, sinks (like if i wanted a fully black one, there is only a couple to choose from), bathroom tiles (I have a hard time finding the wall tiles that match the floor tiles)

All swatch types are useful. But the things that would make me happy are more eye color types as well as hair color types. That’d probably be more difficult to do but man it’d be game changing for me.

I think the split items might be because of the specularity mapping on the 'new' items, they seem shiner (in the way lycra & spandex materials are shiner than their cotton alternatives). They have items with slight varients though, but maybe thats more likely to break on something that animates rather than just being set dressing?
I love the new patterns and colors! Definitely helps bc a lot of the patterns from the swim suits were kind of dated. New swatches for beds would be great, especially maybe some different sheets options with the same base wood colors (which especially for kid beds would be great bc you wouldn't need to have the other bed completely different or for bunk beds)

I actually like the imprint of the shorts under the tank top. it feels more realistic for when you are wearing a more tight fitted shirt over a baggier pair of bottoms. but if we were to get another swatch update id say for some of the art to add more swatches on them either in the frames or the art itself or also the beds i do agree some of the bedding on base game beds are dated...makes it feel like an old ladies room or a teenage boy
