    Green apatite genuine is a definite must have color for me! I love olive green, quinacridone coral, Naples yellow, hematite genuine for landscapes, quinacridone gold, lavender for shadows and hematite genuine to darken any color.

      Oops I messed up. The last color is neutral tint, not the hematite genuine I mentioned earlier. Neutral tint can be added to any color to darken the pigment slightly. It’s amazing!

    So much fun to see you going through these and hear you talk about them! Thank you for that! One suggestion for you: Give Opera Pink a chance! It is one of the most fun colors to mix with. I love experimenting with it with yellows and blues to see what happens. In an 80::20 mix of Lemon Yellow with Opera Pink, you can get some wonderful results! Hoping all is well! Cheers! ~ Mark

    Love getting the "ugliest color"! I'm always amazed at how I learn to love colors that I originally thought were ugly. I do a lot of landscapes and every color has a purpose :) I've also learned that the properties of a color are often more important than the hue, i.e. some colors mix beautifully on paper, others keep their own identities and create beautiful natural textures.
    You have so many of my fav DS paints, but Quin Coral, Undersea Green and Indigo are some worth adding. Thanks for sharing your collection!

    There is something so satisfying about an organized and clean palette. Most of the colors I was going to recommend, you already have except Cascade green , which has blue in it and undersea green, which is more olive green. Also, for your primatek palette, you might like purpurite , which is a dusky sort of purple. It is somewhere between a mineral violet and a perylene violet. Oto Kano has a video on purpurite you can check out. Watch you soon😎

    What is the white gouache brand you have in a half pan? Is it light fast?

    • @BeckyTregear
      @BeckyTregear  Před 3 lety +2

      I will probably replace Lemon Yellow with Hansa Yellow Light in the future, but I need to use it all up first (which takes forever, lol). That's actually Daniel Smith's Titanium White watercolour! It isn't as opaque as a gouache but is actually quite good, and I use it more for mixing colours into pastel shades, rather than for white highlights. ☺️

      @@MrFabriciusalmeida That sounds like a really interesting mix! Now I think about it, in the old palette there IS a half pan of white gouache, and that one is by M.Graham.
