The one that jumps out to me is the bridal party! We opted out of having a bridal party from the beginning and it was the best decision ever, in my opinion. We still included our closest friends and family in all the events, showers, bachelorette party, etc but there was much less stress on EVERYONE. Most of my friends actually thanked me! Of course COVID hit and we had to downsize everything anyways, but during the full year plus of planning, I still had so much support and engagement from all my closest friends and family members and nobody felt left out!
Great advice, thank you. The only one I would disagree with is limiting plus ones. As a former single person, attending a wedding alone (especially a long-distance one), where you don't know anyone but the bride and groom, is an intensely uncomfortable and sometimes upsetting situation. And I don't think it's fair to exclude singles to avoid that dilemma. We chose to limit our guest list, so that our single friends can have someone else that day to enjoy the celebration, if they choose.
I love this!!! My favorites are the assigned seating AND.......of course, EAT!!!! If brides knew what they are doing to their metabolism and what will happen after the wedding they would totally NOT take this approach of starving into the dress!!
