- I may have a minor shoe obsession so when it came time to review wedding shoes I was on cloud nine! Watch today's episode as I dish about wedding shoes that provide fashion, function, style, and savings.... and some that check ALL the boxes. Enjoy!
Lol…I did wear white shoes at my wedding, and I bought them (gasp!) from the bridal dress store. However, they were a satin type fabric and were dyed to match so they didn’t stand out weirdly, and also were so comfortable. Also, I wasn’t going to pay out the nose for designer shoes for just one day. They looked great on the day, never wore them again, and I have no regrets.
"Don't wear leather shoes because they aren't formal". So here I am thinking, ok, can't wear my Christian Louboutin heels cuz somehow they aren't formal. Then she pulls out Bagdley Mischka "Jewles" leather sandals.
Followed by Nudisong leather sandals. Followed by Gucci LEATHER SANDALS. Followed by some darn Keds...you know...kids, like the sneakers kids wear to kindergarten. WHITE ones. Because as she said we aren't supposed to wear white shoes that day.
What happened to no white, no leather and formal? 😭
I usually love her videos and find them super informative. She usually comes across as so professional but this video fell very short in my opinion.
she might be talking about those closed leather shoes that covers your toes and sides of your feet but i fully agree with you 💙
+closed just like the manolo in the vid
General rule of thumb is that leather is not formal enough but the ones shown had added embellishment on them. She didn't say a complete no
@@SD-hs2pk just seemed odd to me. All of my high end formal heels are leather. What would be the alternative? Pleather? Rubber? Cork?
@@dazzledunn-deal1448 Jewls dresses things up for sure. but crock you're so funny
That's a bit weird to say that leather is not formal enough and then show sandals as an example of “formal” shoes. Sandals with open toes? Really?? 🙄
Smell the luxury!
Thank you so much for this, your videos have been super helpful for me as I've decided to wear a dress and womens shoes to my wedding as a guy
My #1 is Converse Chuck Taylor High Tops (Black).
First class in irreverence!
I would have gone with white lace shoes for weeding . Number 1 choice .
Love these videos! Please keep them coming.
Thank you Liz!
In 2024, My Asian Wife (Maya-Minnie-Chu) Will Be Wearing Yellow Manolo Blahnik High Heel Pumps With Her Cap And Gown.
Love the Gucci with block heel. I have 3 pair of the kate spade glitters in different colors for planner shoes
Great planner shoes!!!!
What exactly is wrong with white shoes?? Especially for a wedding of all occasions??
Just my opinion Tarlan! I don’t think they’re super flattering against most skin tones and they can compete with the dress as opposed to coordinating with it. If you’re all about going white on the footwear I would definitely prefer a white shoe with very thins straps where the foot is more exposed. I find that flesh toned or nude shoe hues can lengthen the leg too.
Sold on Gucci ones!
I agree with all of these, although...I am wearing white shoes with pearls...but they won't show anyway, my dress is just TOO glamorous and too BIG (ballgown) that it'll hide my shoes, and even if my shoes do show.....it'll outdress my shoes anyway.
Which color were the kids? White or cream glitter? Thanks!
I bought a pair of Badgley Mischka bridal wedge heels. Will I be able to dance in them??
What color is the manolo
Which heel height would recommend for the manolo?
Hello, was the gucci sandals true to your size? Or did you size up? I just decided to get that for my beach wedding.
True to size!
When I married I wore three wedding suits. One for the ceremony and I changed after the food reception. I got a smaller but flexible one so I could dance and do our traditional ceremonies. It was tight but loose. And then when we are about the leave I changed to even smaller tighter outfit to thank the guest and giving the goodbye to them. That dress gave me a mermaid look it showed my body curves I used it to even fit in the car it. All white.
I also found white heels super tacky. It does not matter what's your skin color is white heels open or closed never go with any skin color. Having white sneakers is another thing. Those go with anyone.
During the ceremony I wore nude So Kate from Christian Louboutin. Then I wore nude Amber Sandals from Yves St Laurent. After the whole thing was done I wore my favorite Black Opyum Yves St Lauren sandals. Just my two wedding dresses costed $125,000 together. My husband paid for the dresses. I still have them, there in the basement of my townhouse.
I hate white shoes too thats exactly me, only sneakers
