Thank you for this wonderful and quiet video
Thank you very much, we are very happy you enjoyed it.
Beautiful.
Thank you, we are happy you enjoyed it.
Lovely video. Very relaxing and artistic. I have one question. Why boil outside and not inside to keep heat indoors?
Appreciation from Nova Scotia 🇨🇦
Hello and thank you very much for the nice comment, we really appreciate it.
Answer to your question - we love to cook outdoors and the food prepared outside is really tasty (have something special). Furthermore, it's easier to record outside as our home is not so spacious and you need a lot of light to have quality footage.
@@offgridcooking ah! Thank you!! Just wondering ❤️
Can you make just hawthorn berry water? Like a cold brew
Hello where did you get your double boiler green pot?
Google juice steamer
where are you located id like to buy that juice. what kind of heart health stories do you know from drinking that?
We are from Europe, unfortunately, we don't sell it as it's a lot of work (time and effort) to make it. Hawthorn berry juice has been used in traditional medicine for various health benefits - heart health, strong antioxidants, help with cholesterol and blood pressure regulation, etc.
Are there any other fruits or berries that can be processed like this?
Hi, yes you can process many other fruits and berries with a juice steamer, for example - sour cherries.
What kind of pot?
Juice steamer. This one is quite old/rare and almost not possible to buy anymore. I got it from my grandmother.
That's a lot of berries
Two days of hard work...
Your strip to much of that tree leave some for the birds. Bad foraging
Oh no! I promise I'll make sure to leave the next tree with its full amount of berries for the birds :)
Just joking, I want to assure you that we are mindful of sustainable foraging practices. It's crucial to respect and maintain the balance of our environment.
Thank you for watching and have a great day!
It is siper healthy but relatively unpalatable. Very bitter
I hear you on the bitterness, but sometimes, good health comes with a bold taste. Hawthorn berry juice in this video is without any sugar added to it, so it has a pure natural taste.
Add ceylon cinnamon and a good teaspoon honey its quite good.
I am disappointed you don't have the decency to speak about what you are doing and why.
What type of hawthorn is this? Can we preserve the bottles in cold space for months? Can we drink it cold or should we heat it again? What do you do with the remaining hawthorn that was boiled, are there any uses for it? Any specific instructions for extracting the juice? Thanks in advance.
Hi and thank you for your comment.
It's mostly Crataegus oxyacantha, but in our area, also another kind of it growing.
In this video, we didn't add any crystallized sugar to it, so it couldn't be preserved for a longer time. If you add sugar and store it properly, for sure it can stay for a longer time.
From the remaining hawthorn, you can make something like jam, but it's not as tasty as most of the juices went out.
We ate a bit, and rest we gave to the chicken :)
Not really, just follow the video and it will not be hard. The most important is - always check the level of water in the juice steamer.
@@offgridcooking thank you sir! 🙏🏻 I’m an ex-smoker if cigarettes and I read hawthorn can be amazing for the heart. I enjoyed the nature and scenery too, be well and happy new year!
