Simple Chris is one of the only skits I haven't skipped over. It's so damn good.

The skit at the beginning is the best that you guys ever produced. The narration, writing and editing were on point!
The whole South Park reference is a double entendre so to speak. South Park had an episode where "Simpsons did it" was the theme.

I don't get why everyone expected some mindblowing finale. Honestly, what this show does best is go against the standard TV show format. I mean, go back to season 1's finale and there's nothing incredible about it. I guess y'all are just spoiled from the amazing writing of the recent Evil Morty episode. Since it seems impossible to satisfy some of you, just consider that episode as the finale.
Edit: This is directed at some of the unpleasant folks in the comment section not the Normies btw. Some people just can't be happy.

Season 2 finale was genuinely heart wrenching
People expected a good episode as the finale because the finale for season 1 and 2 were good. Saying the show "goes against standard TV format" is not a good excuse for a bad finale, you're just being an apologist.
I think Rick is pissy at the end because Beth was not a clone. By him not being just straightforward she got reconnected with Jerry. And the ending shows that Rick really does care about Beth, Summer, and Morty. He is willing to become "Flyfishing Rick" to stay in the same dimension with them despite having to deal with Jery having the upperhand now.

This was the best skit ever
I find it interesting that both Gravity Falls and Rick and Morty have episode titles that deal with the Manchurian Candidate. Especially since we know the shows are connected.
If Beth were a clone, Rick wouldn't have went through all of that trouble to stay and be a part of the family with "clone" Beth not liking him and being with Jerry. Rick is now the lowest on the family totem pole. If that was just a clone of Beth, Rick would just make a new clone and not give the new Beth clone any memory of the fact that she's a clone. Which is also evidence that Beth isn't a clone-- Rick would have wiped her clone's memory of the conversation they had about Beth leaving and him creating a clone of her.
Joshua Faught but if Beth asked her father to keep the familu together no matter what he would do it. Rick cares about Beth incredibly so and even made a clone of her friend to save a guy he didn't care about.
Honestly expecting Clone Beth to return at some point in Season 4 or 5. I'm expecting the clone is the one out there wandering the galaxy, learning more about who she is and what she wants.
that's missing the point of this episode, it doesn't matter if she's a clone or not, to bath this gave her the chance to reflect on why they fell in love in the first place, she's learning more about who she is and what she wants by just forgetting about the whole clone thing, if a clone comes back or if we actually got an answer it would make this episode's theme pointless, this is why the last scene made is ambiguous
There is evidence in the last episode that proves she ISNT a clone in fact. Rick tells her he can make a clone of Tommy but it would take 3 hours. They made it right before Tommy's dad was put to death. Then came back home. It wouldve taken him another 3 hours to make a clone of her after their convo. But in the end they try and order pizza and the pizza place is closed. But Rick goes to another universe where they are an hour behind and grabs some off the counter. So he walked inside. If you check what time that actual pizza place closes the walk in part of the store. You will see that Rick actually had no timeto clone Beth because only 2 hours had passed from when they left the execution and Morty and Summer came home. Thats why he even brings up "That wasnt time travel. I grabbed them." The creators want us to do the math ourselves. Plus the clock on the wall is shown alot in that episode. On purpose mind you. All the evidence is there. He most likely brought the gun to kill MORTY since he thought he had gone rouge. Since we know Rick HAS been in Morty's life when he was a baby in another universe. And that Morty is most likely Evil Morty. And we know Evil Morty has a portal gun. So when our Morty stole Rick's he thought he had created another evil morty. Plus how did Rick know where Morty brought everyone? When Morty said he wouldnt be able to find them. He would have to know exactly where a Morty would hide in order to use the Presidents machine. It need coordinates most likely.
I'm assuming everyone has caught up on S4, thoughts?

not all episodes have to be spectacular and end cliffhangers for next season. Sometimes the season and the episode just ... end. one of the best R & M points is to handle complex (science fiction) subjects in a simple way.

Not really we knew Evil Morty would come back at some point and possibly try to do something to the citadel. So....meh. I'm more interested in what happened to Phoenix Person and Tammie.

I guess it all makes sense now. You know, with that strange fixation of Rick in pitching and defending al by himself that "Pirates of the Pancreas" attraction from the Anatomy Park in S01E02. These guys are going nuts with the continuity of the narrative. Amazing!

Has anyone else noticed how the President's teleporter requires two trucks and a heavy load carrying helicopter to actually be at the destination they need to teleport to for it to actually work? The guy's teleporter can only teleport to where his helicopter and trucks travel too. Bullshit, redundant ass President tech hahahaha
There is also a minecraft easter egg in where someone has to set the portal on fire for it to function, like how flint and steel is needed to travel to the nether

There's a theory on how she isn't a clone based on clocks and daylight in the previous episode. Basically it concludes that between Beth's decision and the kids getting back and having dinner with Beth and Rick, not enough time passed to be able to make a clone (takes 3 hours to make one)

You all are legit fans, that opening skit was absolutely brilliant and written in the spirit of Dan Harmon. It's been quite enjoyable to watch the reactions to one of my favorite shows that is currently on TV. In fact, I was Evil Morty for Halloween this year, THE most simple [rick] costume there is! The whole Pickle Rick thing has gotten out of hand, I agree. That meme has been beaten to death and really depicts alot of the the toxicity the infamous fanbase has become known for. It makes me really excited that the Normies have taken a hold on to Community so well. It's arguably tied with scrubs as my second favorite show of all time (with Breaking Bad being #1). Harmon's writing and creativity is just astounding. There are not very many shows where I can go back and watch every single episode more than once and not get bored like I do with Community and Rick and Morty.

My theory is that Rick told the family that they're the stars of a TV show for another dimension (us). Now they all love their lives and can't wait for the new season.
First they talk about Doctor Who, than they put mr. poopybutthole talking about having a Santa Claus' beard. I think that definitely will be a Christmas special.
