  • Ever wondered how to get truly unlimited internet in your truck, RV, home, or on the go?
    I'm going to show you how these particular modems from Netgear can be modified to act just like a tablet. This gives you unlimited data regardless as to how much tethering data is on your plan.
    You MUST have your own 4G or 5G tablet to use the IMEI number from. After repairing the IMEI on your hotspot you can not use your tablet with a SIM card unless your hotspot is turned OFF. Your tablet can only be used as a WiFi only tablet!
    These directions are pretty easy and straight forward watch this video and I will show you how to setup your on hotspot.
    When everything is done you can use any tablet SIM card in the hotspot. It can be ANY carrier if you chose to SIM unlock your hotspot as mentioned in the video.
    DC Unlocker Website: www.dc-unlocke...
    Supported Hotspot Routers:
    Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100
    Netgear Nighthawk M5 MR5100
    Netgear Nighthawk M5 MR5200
    Netgear Nighthawk M6 Pro MR6110

      Unfortunately if you use a phone IMEI you will have to have a phone line SIM. At least from my understanding. Unless you're carrier will allow you to use a tablet sim in an extra phone you have

    I did IMEI repair on MR5200 using my iPad IMEI number, and everything worked as expected for the most of part. I have t-mobile unlimited tablet plan. One interesting thing that I found is: if I connect my Amazon Firestick to MR5200, it still reported as “hotspot” data usage, which dropped down to 3G speed. Other devices connected to MR5200 are all reporting as normal usage. Just wondering why? If anyone experienced similar issue on other devices or other carriers?

    • @TheTravelinTruckah
      @TheTravelinTruckah  Před 4 měsíci

      Glad to hear you figured it out. I'm not sure why the firestick is using hotspot data I have att and I use a fire TV all the time with no data usage. If it helps I'm using an android tablet for the IMEI on an att business tablet line.

    • @howardzhao4685
      @howardzhao4685 Před 4 měsíci

      Even more interesting as I am doing more testing on it, and found some of the traffics from Firestick were considered as normal, such as speed tests. But my CZcams TV stream is logged as “hotspot “ which in T-Mobile’s term, it was capped at 3G speed. It could be the difference between Apple devices vs. Android devices. I try the same with Apple TV, it worked just fine as normal data traffic. Thanks for the quick reply.

      Hey If you are still having issues finding the plan he's talking about I can walk you through it. You do not need a business account but you do need to know exactly what to say. The plan is not advertised and they don't go out of their way to help people get set up on the plan since it is beyond cheap. I have been using the same plan since back when the M1 was brand new and 4g lte seemed like you'd found Nirvana. Now I use a 5g lte version and I can't believe I ever thought 4g was fast lol. It reminds me of when I bought my first US ROBOTICS 56k x2 modem. I just dated myself didn't I.....oops lol.
      Anyway if you still need a hand let me know and I'll set up a temp email so we can talk. I'd suggest doing the same thing so you won't have to worry about passing out your real email. If you're unfamiliar just search for temp web based email account and there are several free ones. There are a couple apps for that too. Anyway Cheers

      @TheTravelinTruckah  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Well you don't need a 5g IMEI of course without one you won't have 5g. My recommendation would be to buy a broken 5g tablet on that. You should be able to get a broken one pretty cheap. You only need the IMEI from it

      It's significantly cheaper on the monthly bill and less likely to have issues as a hotspot is more like a tablet. Tablet lines are usually about $20 a month where phone lines are at least $40 a month.

  • @JoseMendoza-gq1bx
    @JoseMendoza-gq1bx Před 3 měsíci

    Maybe you may know the answer to this. I bought the M6 Pro, changed IMEI to my celluar tablet one, bought a data only Sim card from Tmobile, it wouldn't work on my unlocked M6 Pro. I called Tmobile to troubleshoot the issue, they said I had my hotspot on the Sim locked and that I need to enable it. I'm thinking why would I need hotspot, if we can trick Tmobile servers into thinking the M6 Pro is acting like my Tablet. In any case, it seems that the gig is up, at least with Tmobile and they have found a work around behind this method. Unless the hotspot will carry over to my data plan? What you think?

    • @TheTravelinTruckah
      @TheTravelinTruckah  Před 3 měsíci

      It sounds like the IMEI could be wrong or not working. Are you sure the IMEI was entered right and saved successfully? It's not a blacklisted IMEI and not being used right? It's unlikely they figured this out. It is possible but very unlikely. Hopefully someone else can chime in and verify for you if they are having similar issues. Is it a 5g tablet or 4g tablet your using? Also, once you pay to change the IMEI you can change it on that M6 as many times as you want for free. Maybe try turning the hotspot data on and just see if the data is showing as hotspot usage.

    • @JoseMendoza-gq1bx

      @@TheTravelinTruckah I bought 3 different M6 devices, thinking it was maybe the device, firmware etc. Changed IMEI etc on all 3, tried 2 different SIMs (phone and data sim cards) and it showed Tmobile that I was indeed using Hotspot. So I've returned the M6 devices and bought the GL.iNet GL-X3000. Had the device IMEI changed, did some command line changes, and now I'm getting what I asked for. 500+mb download speeds, no hotspot data, no data cap cause Unlimited Premium data. I couldn't figure out the M6 issue, but was lucky and able enough to figure it out for another capable device. I want to thank you though for your video, you gave me a reason to find something else that could work. No - More - Hotspot - Throttling. Cheers!

      Glad you figured out another method but I am surprised this didn't work and wondering what went wrong. I have a modded modem/router myself and that works the same as the m6 did for me aside from the process of changing the IMEI. Just really odd it didn't work and I'm sorry about that. I use mine with ATT and it's definitely not showing up as hotspot data being used but that's just ATT. I have tried it with Verizon and that worked fine but T-Mobile i use in my custom modem because I need the Ethernet jacks for the house.
