I was thinking a biome that I wish they could possibly add in the nether:

    Withered Depths

-Tunnels and cave systems that can be found at the lowest part of the nether.

-Wither Skeletons ocassionally spawns in this area
-Wither dust particles falls from the ceiling

    - Withered flora and fauna makes this place more immersive

    - Has a dark gray fog that will make this place “More withered”

This makes mining for ancient debris more interesting and exciting

    Resources:

Witherstone - a withered version of stone

Wither Puffs - a strange flora similar to the size of the sea pickle that is edible yet withered. To remove the wither status, throw it in soul fire and allow it to cook. When eaten, this will give you a buff known as the soulful effect, which allows the player to sprint much faster with the bonus of the player emitting light and damage hostile mobs on its way in 15 seconds.

Ancient Debris - these ores can also generate rarely in this treacherous biome.

Clinging Grass - gray grasses that grows from either the ceiling, floor or both sides of the tunnels.
    Mobs:
Wither Skeleton - inhabitants of this withered depths. They'll have a chance to drop a wither bone which can be used to craft withered bone meal, that when used in a sapling, it will turn into a withered tree.

"It breaks up the monotony by adding little bubbles of excitement every now and then."
The problem with this game is that there shouldn't be nearly as much monotony as there is. Some is required of course; otherwise the "high moments" would become the norm and they'd lose their meaning. However, the number of times I've gotten bored just by playing the game as intended is way too much. There needs to just be more to do in general: the caves need to be sprinkled with more little landmarks, or perhaps the surface needs something like old ruined homes you can forage through for ACTUALLY useful items. I hate to bring up the comparison, but Minecraft should take a page from its RPG cousin Terraria on this front.

Just make the pouch only fillable upon equipping (but maybe storable?), and appear just like the villagers money pouches on their trading progression, have tiers, typically it goes from leather, to gold, to emerald, then to diamond, then you can up it to be fire resistant with netherite and maybe have the hoglings have these if trading is implemented with them, leather can hold a single item or block, gold can hold 2, emerald 3, and diamond 4, and they will be crafted with 7 in a U shape and you don't have to worry about making a cauldron because iron isn't part of the progression (unless you count lvl1 skin for villagers), and you can make a netherite pouch that is a fire resistant shulker holder, diamond ones would be perfect for making small trade delivery with neighbors, and the netherite one would be well with personal use for safety so your 3,4, or 5 shulkers of items or regular items wouldn't burn, Mojang could determine the pouch space and limitations, and weather or not it would allow it to count as a damage taking offhand equipable like the shield and work only when you hold it to balance it's coolness,
and maybe allow more of the villagers fashion to carry over to players, because the possibility of this made me think, the villagers usually don't sell 2 of the same thing too often, and someone besides themselves would have to make the basic clothing, it could be a fun little thing, have someone who makes the villagers apparel, like a tailor, it would be cool to not just have the armor, maybe we could craft a basic set of brown or green villager clothes (the green would give default opposite cross eyes like the village idiot) and trade to get the profession based clothing sold to the other villagers, and maybe even have certain things go with them, like witch, zombie villager, and pillager, vindicator, evoker clothing (/ armors if you consider pillager clothes armor) as well as the different biomes of villagers clothing, more bundled up stuff in the snowy plains, slimy straw hats and skirts in the swamp lakes, I personally think it would be cooler than just changing your skin theme and maybe give the more exotic ones buffs, like saturation giving for zombie villager, be creative with the others, but it could be an interesting ad that would be a cool collectible implementation into the game but kinda just be there too I guess but it's considerably a thing for considering.

Someone on Reddit a while back suggested Firebrats. The Nether equivalent to Silverfish, the Firebrat is based off of the real-life cousin of silverfish that live in hotter, dryer areas, like bakeries.
I suggested that they could spawn from Ghast fireballs, similar to how Endermites spawn from Enderpearls.
Another idea I had was a new enchantment: Frostbite. It deals extra damage to Nether mobs (Ghasts, Magma Cubes, Firebrats etc.), Husks, and maybe Withers. It can be enchanted onto swords and bows and onto axes w/ an anvil and is mutually exclusive with Fire Aspect and Flame as well as Smite, BoA, and Sharpness. It has no effect on cold mobs (polar bears, Strays, and any other cold mob if there is any. Oh yeah, snow foxes.) And possibly slows normal mobs (not Nether mobs cause they're to hot and not cold mobs 'cause they're used to it.) but this might be too powerful. And if Flame and FA affect Nether mobs (and husks), it would no longer affect them.
Why should you agree with this? Because Firebrats are no more pointless than Endermites and those are in the game. And Frostbite is more useful (especially with the new update) than Bane of Arthropods, and that's in the game.

I was thinking about soul spiders, the regular ones can bury into a 4/4 of soul sand, maybe they don't have open eyes that are red and can be rid by wither skeletons like jockeys, but these can only spawn in nether biomes, not fortresses, and may lay eggs in the soul sand that act like silverfish stone, the soul stone may have decoration qualities so you could prank your friends like with regular silverfish stone, and the spiders could inhabit them with web roots appearing at the bottom of the block beneath them to give a little bit of a break to miners, regular soul spider adults give slowness and rare nether wart plots can inhabit nether wart spiders which give you a random negative effect, but can be affected to give others through potion contraction, while permanently having 1 effect, but the second one is given to it and lasts until you give it another or tap it with milk, effects like mining fatigue if it's in ocean temple range, fire for a limited time if it's ever gone through fire or lasts with fire longer possessing a blue fire for a while despite it's invulnerability to it or luck if it's implemented by random chance for better effect, but only 1 extra effect per spider, and you can get nether warts as a drop from them, so if you're in the overworld and you strike a spider with lightning, you can get nether warts if you just can't find a fortress and want nether wart decoration blocks without having to go to a fortress, you can side strike a spider like with a group of mooshrooms with lightning for a soul spider, then again for a nether wart spider, or just use an egg block to hatch one and strike one for a random effect one, though you may have to go through a couple of bad ones for a rare passive akward potion effect or less lethal effect like slowness or weakness, they do regular spider damage, but may amass many eggs in the nether warts at full size nether wart growth and the nether wart babies are just regular ones until they grow up, but since it's pretty hard to get an akward potion effect spider it should be a challenge to have one exist, and give you standard potion effect time or half to 3/4 that, but it would attack twice as fast, and you would have to put it in a 4 way box with one ladder leading out and may just end earlier stage players, and bane of arthopods would have a good use to slow these boys down, I just don't see bane having a seriously considered use when they can be 1 hit from a jump attack, but it will be useful for slowing a group of these soul spiders, quirks could be added as well as other stuff, but basically a nether spider that's like silverfish would be interesting, and I could see stuff implemented to it's behavior with the environment in Minecraft

I actually prefer netherrack over any other block when branch mining for two key reasons.
1: With efficiency 5 you can instant mine netherrack and personally, I love instant mining blocks because it is so satisfying. Plus I have a feeling people will just clear out large 2 block high areas rather than make branch mine shafts because instant mining is possible. If the lower nether was a different block then this would be impossible.
2: If you have a large smelting array available, netherrack isn't a useless block to collect because you can turn it into netherbrick which is a much more attractive block.

The netherite beacon should have exclusive enchantments including:
Fire resistance - Simple average fire resistance with the added benefit of better visibility under lava within the radius.
Gold veins - Makes it so all piglins in the area are non hostile, And or gives better bartering rates.
Cobble force field - Ghast will not enter the, or spawn inside the radius. But if shot into the fire balls will slow down and do minimal damage.
Ice cold - this will let some over world farms and snow golems exists inside the radius.
These would exist only with a netherite beacon and only work in the nether. If a netherite beacon we’re built in the over-world it would have normal effects. But when built in the nether you can not get any normal effects. you would activate it with either: Netherite Ingot, Ancient debris, Or Gold.
These effect are so “OP” because of the extreme lengths it would take to get a netherite beacon let alone a max radius one, these were meant to be extremely rewarding and something to work for. These would certainly help the “Living in the nether” idea and were based around that. This would be a great tool for new and experienced players as well as people who primarily play in creative, giving people the ability for amazing nether builds, practical functions and a overall great experience... with a cost. On your idea of “true diamond”, I like it. I think it would be cool if diamond found in the overworld was redubbed “cloudy diamond” or just diamond, but kept the same texture. However, in The End dimension, veins of clear diamond can be found on the bottom of end islands. These clusters are packed in compressed end stone and are super tough! So they require a netherite pickaxe to mine. Additionally, since it's from The End and its completely clear (no flaws) it could have magical properties, and also require your netherite pick to have some level of Efficiency in order to obtain it.
The clear diamond would then be craftable into clear diamond gear, and it would have a more pale (possibly transparent) look to it, maybe a different hue (to compliment its End origins).
Additionally, like how quartz is used in some redstone recipes, clear diamond, being similar to quartz but stronger (and has no flaws unlike cloudy diamond) could also be used to make endgame redstone stuff (like what about a short range teleporter? It's from The End, afterall!)

I think bringing diamond back as a higher tier would be a little tacky and not really add much creatively.
The antigravity properties of gravitite in the Aether mod made it an interesting block to collect and the 'gets stronger the more it's damaged' properties of zanite made it remain useful as a resource. Something like that would work really well to make the tiers less overtly simple and bland.

Great video. Here are some more suggestions.
    - Wither roses need to be able to spawn in the nether.
    - Soul soil campfire that cooks food quickly.
    - Instead of adding new ores or things to get while mining in the nether just make netherrack useful. Maybe a smooth variant or a fuel source.
    - Basalt need a smooth variant as well.
    - The nether wart blocks and warped wart blocks are cool and all but they do nothing right now. Nether wart blocks needs to be able to turn back into nether wart. The warped wart black can turn into warped wart which can be used in brewing to craft a new potion effect. I can also be used with hoglin meat to make a stew.
    - Soulsand Valleys needs nether wart and warped wart to spawn there.
    - We have red and brown mooshrooms, how about crimson and warped mooshrooms as well
    - Gold ore in the nether but they dont give you ingots but nuggets (now we know where zombie pigmen gets them)
    - Smithing table should be required to upgrade diamond to netherite. Also gold plated iron armor would be cool. maybe give a way to make chainmail armor through the smithing table.
    - New flower type in the nether. We got the wither rose, how about ones that set you on fire (soulflower)
    - New music disk that can only happen when a piglin kills a ghast.
    - Piglins will sometimes wear a wither skill to show off his kills to his friends.
    - Netherite golems
    - Netherite swords need a special enchantment that give the target the wither effect.
    - Crimson and warped roots can drop seeds for a new crop. Maybe something like pomegranates or blackberries.
    - LAVA SPIDERS

    Here’s some ideas.
    Servitor
    - Rare boss like enemy that patrols the nether in the sky. Can’t spawn within 100 blocks to portal to avoid spawn killing.
    - My take on the Servitor is that it hovers in the large open gaps and dives down during a fight to begin hovering and swinging its large claws. Can be hit with a sword by jumping.
    - looks somewhat like the Ripper from a mod concept I believe was called the Soul Wastes?
    - Drops Servitor Claw (1 = 50% chance, 2 = 10% chance)
    Netherite Rod
    - 1 Blaze rod (middle) + 1 Netherite Ingot (anywhere around it)
    - Blaze rod with Netherite coating
    - appears as black stick and gives more durability to weapons using instead of a stick
    Netherite Trident
    - 1 Trident (in middle) + 1 Netherite Rod (bottom middle) + 3 gold nuggets (top row) + 4 glowstone dust (empty spaces after)
    - Appears as a black trident with the end pointy parts being gold and glowstone flowing through it
    - when thrown will be on fire
    - can’t be burned or melted
    - higher attack then base trident
    Netherite Scythe
    - Death is often depicted as wielding a scythe. Why not have one in the hell dimension?
    - 2 netherite rods (middle and middle bottom) + 1 Servitor Claw (top)
    - the weapon charges. 1-4 seconds. 1 does 9 damage with 2 second cool down. 2 does 10 damage with a 3 second cool down. 3&4 does 12 damage with 5 second cool down.
    - Unique Ability: Reaping. Gain health from your enemy by charging and attacking (only works on hostile creatures. 1 second = 10% of 1 heart. 2 = 20% of 2 hearts. 3 = 40% of 2 hearts. 4 = 60% of 3 hearts.
    - 5% of dropping mob head

      - When it kills skeletons, it turns bones into bone meal. This is a reference to how similar hoes are to scythes in nature.
      - The Netherite Scythe cannot be enchanted with the regular melee enchantments (Sharpness, Fire Aspect, etc.). Instead, it has a unique enchantment: Reaping. This allows the Scythe a chance to gain health from those it harms.
      - The Netherite Scythe has a higher chance to drop mob heads than other weapons.

I feel like the Nether also needs an increase to the top and bottom of the world height like the Overworld (just a less massive one). It just feels so _small._ It doesn't take long at all to reach y13-15, the optimal debris level, and there's pretty much no room for larger nether caves or buried underground structures, since most of the nether is already just a massive cave. If you look under the lava oceans in spectator, its actually only 10 or so blocks deep before it reaches the lower bedrock. That's how small it really is.

The biome vote losers will all come eventually, as they were originally approved community suggestions, but the Mojang designed mobs were dropped. It definitely sucks. Mojangs original mobs are almost always the best and most interesting, and all three of the others had a lot of promise (c was my personal favorite)

You should be able to mine gold from the nether, since pigman wear/use it that could give an explanation for the way they get it, also the nether gold could be more powerful than overworld gold, they could give it (i dont really know how to explain it) an advantage when it comes to enchanting, nether gold could get really powerful after enchanting and have benefits only for being nether gold

One of the biggest problems I have with the new Netherite, something I've seen not many complain about, is how much "+1 Knockback Resistance" actually is. I know that not many people PvP in 1.9+ survival, but for those who do, the KB Res is a massive problem. Mojang, throughout their upcoming New Combat Update, have stressed the fact that it's become possible to out-heal combat. And the lack of knockback only worsens this. With a normal sword, you get knockbacked less than 0.5 blocks. This makes getting a "combo" (hitting someone multiple times without them hitting you back) exponentially harder, as you deal virtually no knockback. While I do like the fact that Mojang is doing new things, I think that this completely ruins the PvP scene.

minecraft.gamepedia.com/Java_Edition_Combat_Test_5 they're reworking regen. it's almost how it was before in test 5, except you heal every 3 seconds and saturation is less important

    • @XDKvlogs
      @XDKvlogs Před 4 lety

the most ironic part is that Mojang are trying to 'fix' PvP and actively messing it up more, with every little thing they change. I personally detest PvP and stay as far away from it as I possibly can but I know people who love it and are losing their minds over the screw ups coming in this update. I feel like Mojang haven't thought this through properly and should consult the community on it more.
A good example of devs communicating with the community is the game SkaterXL, there should be some sort of way in snapshots to leave feedback for the Dev team like SXL is doing with their Beta updates. These ideas can be good but they need active playtesting in all areas of minecraft, PvE, PvP, survival, creative, skyblock and hardcore and a way to officially let the team know what works, what doesn't and what can be done to improve these rudimentary ideas is essential with what they are doing to the game.
Minecraft can be played in so many ways and it seems like these plans are focused mostly on survival and PvP rather than taking into account every other important aspect of the game since it's all interconnected

@@knyt0 Golden apples are still a thing - as long as gold farms exist, and as long as chugging golden apples is a viable method of survival in PvP, you can out heal it. And with farmable totems, killing someone mid-gap is near impossible.

    • @typhaz
      @typhaz Před 4 lety

@Ghastly ??? This is a valid criticism though. I'm not saying that 1.8 PvP is better, I'm just saying that the extent to which Mojang added knockback resistance inherently makes it less about skill.

    • @XDKvlogs
      @XDKvlogs Před 4 lety

I avoid PvP like it's the freakin corona virus, the commuupnity are often childish and give off the same vibe as CoD MW2 on the xbox 360 in like 2010 but still, they are players within the game and even if they have conflicting or dumb ideas, they should still have their voices heard. I may not agree with them and I may not think that PvP should be the focus of an update over PvE and things that Notch originally wanted to focus on with the game but I will still support their right to be heard because in the end we all love this game for the variety it presents. as for the no attack cooldown, if PvP is all they are after they can go back to 1.9 or set up worlds with commands that alter that stuff or play a modded version. A cool idea would be to add a command that turns off attack cooldown too for those people so the base game continues as normal but gametypes can be changed easily to help people who play differently. idk something like doAttackCooldown true/false or something like that

Make glowstone spawn underground. Rare enough that you don't consider mining specifically for it unless you've really exhausted surface glowstone, but bringing home a chestful of glowstone would be way nicer than a chestful of netherrack
