Amid a Spanish town, a time-honored mansion stands, a testament to beauty within and without. Its history whispers through the town- local villagers haven’t seen an owner show up to the property for an unfathomable span of three decades, and they have no clue who he or she is.
Whilst exploring, the name Contilia is the solitary clue we are able to trace amidst its silent corridors.
Intrigue burgeoned as we ventured inside, uncovering traces hinting at a puzzling past. Arab motifs adorn its interior, signaling a potential tie to a far-off land. Speculations weave tales of a once-resident, perhaps a sheik, who embarked on a journey homeward, abandoning the opulence of this Spanish abode forever.
Our present endeavor to explore this singular estate was met with resistance, the challenge of entry is a true mission. The allure of the "mansion of blue steps" beckons, promising a spectacle of untold mysteries.
An expedition of curiosity and wonderment is now waiting to be unveiled.

😱
Do you know why it is located at the top of the stairs, outside the rooms?
WOW!!! Loved the stairway windows. Plus I love the blue color. Definitely a nice place. And I got to watch it while enjoying my breakfast. Normally it's late when I watch y'all. And Maureno you are crazy doing that climb. Glad you didn't get hurt. Can't wait for the next one. Have a great week.
It is fun being able to catch these gems.
Glad you enjoyed it Jennifer! Thank you for commenting :)
We're currently experimenting with what upload time works the best for our audience. How did you like the earlier upload time? Hope you have a great week as well, see you at the next one.
@@Explomo for me earlier is good. I live in Texas so at the time you posted I can watch easier. Most of the time I'm in a good position to watch earlier postings. Cause usually I'm having breakfast right about that time. Even with the 2 months I work on Saturday mornings I'm off in time that I can watch you with lunch. For me it's great. Don't know what other people will think. I'm happy just to get to watch y'all.
I really enjoy how you describe all the smallest items , and give everything importance. THANK YOU.
Happy to read that you enjoy the fact that we try to zoom in and focus on details, in our opinion the details is what learn us more about the place and the past owners. You're most welcome! :)
This place was definitely one of my favorites on Explomo. The blue Spanish tile and the glass doors are unspeakably beautiful.
We need to put this on a live premier so that we can discuss this place together.
Maureno your long thin hands and fingers that I observed as you crawled into this place serve you well in Exploring and will serve you well in surgery...and in playing musical instruments 😊.
Thanks for this bonus. I love you guys.❤
Maureno, you are truly the best abandon explorer. I love how you show us all the smallest items, and do it so very restful. When I explode, I enjoy the small things, personal things. It truly gives you the feel of previous owners and their lives. Thank you for all you do. 😊
This is a wonderful presentation.
We love you, Maureno.❤
Thank you so much Melissa, much love back to you
Hey dear Maureno and Remon, Explomo, What a dangerous looking and very challenging start of this explore, in order to get access into the mansion! I was so glad to see, that you didn't hurt yourself with this sketchy climb. - I loved the wonderful, atmospheric fading elegance of this once very beautiful and impressive mansion. The staircase with the white and blue tiles is so beautiful. Also absolutely wonderful in its unique beauty were these exceptionally elaborate stained glass windows to see. Wow, so amazing! You have such a good eye for interesting and surprising details, where you are carefully focussing your camera. Respect, bro! - And I could make out a lot of genuine art nouveau decorations on the walls. Also some of the elaborately carved furniture had art nouveau styling. Wonderful chandeliers on the ceiling! Some parts of this mansion really are keeping a strong time capsule vibe despite of the natural decay traces.
I enjoyed watching, and so I am already looking forward to your next explore adventure. - Stay safe, peace and kindest regards.
Huge greetings from Kazakhstan🇰🇿! Hello friends! Thank you very much for your work, wonderful videos. Respect to you for respecting the places you visit, for your nobility! Good luck to you!❤
Hola Maureno y Remon! ❤🤗🤗😊👍
De Acuerdo!❤
I agree 💯
In some cultures men and women sit at different tables while eating. This is possibly why the room was set up the way it was. Really great explore guys!
Interesting! We were not aware of this, thanks for telling us and your kind words!
You’re welcome guys! Love your channel! Hugs!
Not in Spain, though, however they like to put the kids and teenagers in a separate table from the grown-ups :)
Hi Silvia, we think the former owners were no Spanish natives and most likely from Arabic origin!
very interesting!@@Explomo
Love this video but you scared me climbing the way you do! So brave..! Thanks for all the hard work.. we love you, Maureno!!❤Nita, peanut and sammy🧡🐾
Glad you loved it Nita, no need to thank me you are always most welcome! Much love back to you, and you, sammy and peanut are truly missed! ❤

Hi there, Maureno & Remon. At34:38, on the ABC magazine cover, the picture of the beautiful woman is Doris Day, an American Actress! At37:06, a very unique artifact and I have never seen anything like it in my 77 years; fabulous from a different culture. All the Tile decorations were truly magnificent to behold! And the Windows with the Clear & Blue decor, also, very overwhelming to observe! Keep amazing us with your adventures!! From Texas,USA!
I’m watching this episode without skipping the adds❤❤❤take care and God Bless

Really appreciate your hearth-warming words, thanks a ton Dianna ❤️
Wow Maureno you were very brave doing that climb. Thanks for another great video guys ❤❤
Thank you Jeanette! To be brutally honest, I was very scared while doing so as it was rather sketchy. You're most welcome and see you at next week's episode again which will be a special one! :)
Thank you. Another great exploration! I appreciate you sharing your adventures.
House has a warm vibe even though it is in decay. Another great find!
Happy you enjoyed it Kate, thanks a lot for watching and commenting!

27:27 This is the Alhambra, Islamic Moorish architecture. A very touristic site in Granada. The Arabs ruled southern Spain for several centuries.
35:16 it is an Art Deco chandelier (art movement 1910-1940 origins France-Belgium), like wallpaper.
Thank you for your remarks with time-stamps on things we found during our exploration, dear Isabelle! Through this way, we can expand our knowledge for future explorations.
@@Explomo With pleasure. It is always surprising but also frustrating to see in your explorations the number of beautiful things left abandoned. I think that this house was built towards the end of the 19th century because we see in the ornamentation the characteristics of the Art Nouveau style, although in a rather sober way, here for example in this hall 30:32, the cement tiles on the floor, wall paintings, glass doors..., and faience tiles on the walls (azulejos) are of Moorish influence. There is also a lot of Art Deco furniture in the house, like the chandelier mentioned above but also for example here 16:31 this small piece of furniture or here 28:38 this small living room, or these small corner furniture 28:48 etc...
We are from pakistan we love to watch your videos keep it up nice work🎉❤
Thank you for watching and supporting all the way from Pakistan! We will certainly keep it up :)

beautiful memories. you saw the shower is actually is using for boiling the water. like you use in two ways 1 center part filled with the burning coals 2nd you can use it by burning the fire under the big tin . when you starts the water tap on behind the tin cold water comes out in the form of hot water .
It’s wild how everything is barricaded. wonderful bonus video guys. the dining room was incredible.
We also found it an odd contrast to see bricked walls in front of windows but the interior and its items still capsuled in time. Glad to read you liked this bonus episode. The dining room truly was very grand. Thanks for watching and see you at the next one, Lisa! :)
You two are going to give me heart attack yet. Climbing that wall was so scary.
I was also pretty scared to do so, but honestly the risk paid off this time. Hope you enjoyed seeing the place and thanks for watching!
Hello, Maureno and Remo, i enjoy watching you, always keep safe, both of you❤
29:12 The chandelier is very similar to the one that still exists on the Titanic!
Interesting! It could be quite valuable in that case. Thanks for the comment!
What an amazing find.... Imyso glad y'all were able to get in to document it before it's too late ❤

Hello hello!!! 🤴❤🤴❤
That was a really nice adventure that i really enjoyed 😍 I like the mansion from the outside, really majestic! And i love the garden and the mini chapel as well!!! That's a really interesting place that holds many beautiful rooms and really nice things left behind inside. But sad to see it in that state 😢 Thanks for your efforts you guys and for this amazing video. See you, bye ❤

Thanks!
Que lugar incrível!😱🏰 lindo o lustre!!!❤
Love the scenery outside the building, it’s adventure to get inside this place, thank you for sharing to us, the architecture of this place is so unique and beautiful, lovely home specially the dining room is very beautiful, the downside would be there aren’t many bathrooms in this place in a big home like this , I also think someones must took care of this place at one point before it got left abandoned I can pan pot and bucket lay around on the top floor to cash the leak from the roof, very interesting place and unique building indeed, love the blue tile big space and tall building thank you for sharing
Un saludo desde Vizcaya besos

Thanks again for your support, and we hope you continue to enjoy our content! 😁
Beautiful!!!! it is a modernist mansion, for its age and abandonment, it keeps quite well. Id say the neighbours are keeping the intruders out blocking doors and windows, same as the big bowls collecting rain water to try and make the mansion live longer. What a shame the owner abandoned it! thanks fpr an amazing video!
I'll watch it tom..goodnight po😘
Good night, enjoy your watch!

Thanks guys 👍
Our pleasure! ❤️
They have gotten so much better since this was made. They no longer point out things like plastic cups then turn around and show their butt crack (11:47). I got a good tee hee giggle out of that one! They are my favorite "abandoned guys" indeed.
At last! After an indigestion of corny McMansion properties, it is a solace for the soul to see this charming piece of architecture. You can tell that every square foot was devolved for spatial purpose, as even the portico's top is made to fuse with the balcony. The finitions, while refined, are not excessively ostentatious, as the balustrades and window framings are donned with discreet gothic touch. This mansion is a rather peculiar hybrid with a knack for Plain Portuguese style. The sober contrast on the inside, offered by the blue white panels, underlines all the more the quiet majesty of the outside. This is the kind of rhythmic balance I admire in houses. It is sad to see this going to waste, really =/

the pattern in the blue and white glass is English Roses and Scottish Thistles. So they must have had some lineage or relation to the UK/Great Britain.

Definitely in the future! In the past we have already collaborated multiple times with Lesley from the Bros of Decay. Thank you for the kudos, that gravity can be painful is something I can tell. Makes me sad to see these beautiful places just rot. Do the owners get charged for it dilapidated ? I get when a family gets ridiculously over taxed with that inheritance tax but when the owners are stinkin' rich and just walk away... that needs to change !
What was doing there a Monster Bottle on 48:48 minutes? does it mean there was someone after 1990 as well? Monster was created in 2002.
It’s so funny you say 1973 like it was a million years ago. I’m 84 so when you get to 1940 ,it’s doesn’t seam that long to me 🤣🤣😂😂🙏🌹🥰
