When you use Terrako's 6th strong attack, all regular lasers shot during it are significantly stronger and upgraded to basically be as strong as a fully charged laser. This makes it so that mashing ZR during the move deals some serious weak point gauge damage, as they're still upgraded after the final burst Terrako does at the end of the move.

One of the best uses of his fully charged laser is during a flurry rush. Since flurry rushes automatically expose WPG, and also lock you into attacking the enemy, all of the laser gets pumped into weak point damage _in addition_ to Terrako's standard flurry rush string.

Two things are missing from this video. One, Terrako's dash attack completely destroys weak point gauges. Two, all lasers shot during Terrako's 6th strong attack are full charged and make the move basically a weak special attack with the amount of damage and weak point damage it does, in my opinion Terrako's 6th strong attack is the single most powerful attack in the game.

Mind if I add one last thing? In his strong dash attack if you released his weaker lasers he can shoot 6 lasers at one in six directions. This can also be done in his 2nd strong attack. If you shoot the strong one during the dash he shoots off a large sweeping laser, but not in the 2nd strong attack sadly. It stays aimed forward for that.

I remember a Danny DeVito meme going around when he didn't have his name yet: egg. Had quite a blast playing as him when unlocked. Nowadays he's a little too rough to get a hold of play-wise. You can also laser your enemies while in the mid-air animation so it may be a viable build to have mid-air attack with Attack Speed to really clear out HP though he doesn't really have many other mid-air attacks like it.

  • @thedorklord1029

Quick thing to note about Terrako's normal dash attack: it deals a *lot* of damage. Seriously. Assuming all of the spears connect on the same enemy, one whole sixth of the weakpoint gauge can be removed. Put simply, it is great at digging into weakpoint gauges.
The amount might be different from what I said though. I have only played on Hard and Really Hard.
Edit: Strong attack 5 can expose weakpoint gauges, but only when the vortex ends. It's pretty unreliable, but it's something you missed.

Sure, Terrako’s little lasers could be good at clearing rooms, but I’m convinced no fighter has a better room-clearing combo than Battle-Tested Guardian’s C2 sweeping laser. That thing clears entire outposts in one use, leaving only the big enemy which usually spawns after most of the small ones have been eradicated.

    (1) When doing C6, fire charged up laser before transforming into lightning ball, then when transformed into lightning ball spam hitting ZR to fire out many lasers. You can fire out like 3-5 fully charged lasers this way in a single attacks string (though when you're in that lightning ball you can't aim well, meaning against bosses you have to be right up in their faces for them to hit).
    (2) C3 will cause Terako to spin, but if you let off a charged laser with correct timing, Terako will fire the laser while spinning.
It seems that the ZR function is meant to be used in every part of Terako's combo strings.
Also, it seems that Terako's bomb runes is especially strong against weak point gauges able to take of the first half of the gauge easy (and you can fire ZR laser during the process). So it's a good thing to use when an enemy has just a few bits of Weak Point Gauge left

  • @SotiCoto
    @SotiCoto Před 2 lety

Why do people keep calling Terrako "he"?
I know it is a bit ambiguous to give an R2-D2 ripoff a gender... but let us keep two things in mind:
#1. Names with "ko" at the end (meaning "child", I believe) are almost always female names in Japanese.
#2. Terrako can participate in the Miss Vai Battle Pageant, which only allows female characters. Presumably this also includes the Battle-Tested Guardian.
So... yeah, Terrako is a "she", not a "he".
