When people forget Maze Runner was written before Hunger Games and Divergent
yesss
Coco Maehler when people forget that Divergent and Hunger Games aren't total pieces of trash like The Maze Runner
MKC_ 13 Well that's just a matter of opinion, now isn't it?
MKC_ 13 the books are really good
yeah and the lighting of the box was originally a lot darker than in the movie
The maze doesn’t actually change, it just opens a new section every night
YES THANK YOU I WAS YELLING AT THAT POINT-
@@sophiejjc4567 lol same. I’m yelling at the phone right now. Ngl I’m hating whoever is saying this
I mean technically the maze does change every night in the books, then spits out words. It's weird and cool at the same time but yeah in the movies it just opens different sections every night.
Right but the characters kept saying that it changed every night, which leads the audience to assume that’s true
@@theonamcneal2455 opening new sections every night is changing the maze to me, hate on your own stupidity
i love how this movie's criticisms were "its a ripoff and uses cliches" when it was made before and created some cliches in the books its based off of lmao
@@esteemedcharacteractressma58
not true. they dont make book movies for the people who've read it, they make them to rip people off to see a movie with a big name thats trash.
the movies bad and just because the books are good it doesnt make the movie better.
(the movie is literally trash)
its sad this movie even shares the same name as the amazing books, actually.
This entire channel is a joke imo. He just nitpicks literally everything without doing any sort of research.
@@jackabsalom9405 watching the movie isn’t doing research. He makes a whole bunch of wrong points that make zero sense just to be negative.
“Go read a book” really? lol
No. The Hunger games book was published in 2008. Maze Runner in 2009. The Hunger Games movie was released in 2012, Maze Runner in 2014. It didn't pioneer anything to be honest.
Also, he sins them on their cinematic quality. He has said this before. The books are irrelevant and these sins still would have applied if he had read them.
@@SirRainbowSkychildExactly! Jeremy has said more than once: *The books don’t matter!*
Also, of course “this channel is a joke!”. It’s obvious comedy and shouldn’t be taken as serious, legitimate criticism.

Minho: *am i a joke to you*
Bruh the maze runner was written before the hunger games ...
Triija yeah it was but it’s not the same, although it seems but it is not. the author in hunger games talks about how before reality tv shows or whatever used to be scripted and not true. but since people find it really entertaining of people getting hurt or depressing times the author wanted to talk about that. so in hunger games people have to watch people fight to the death because it’s entertaining i guess. i really dont know much about maze runner but i think they want to test survival skills there’s probably more but a different gist.
@@msteeniewahine4540 They're not exactly testing survival skills, they're testing their minds and their ability to escape the maze. The 'scientists' put them through trials. It's a weird way to find a cure to the sickness that the normal world is dealing with. The Maze Runner is actually nothing like the hunger games. I think that people think that because they're both dystopian and split people into groups. In the hunger games it doesn't make sense to split people up and make them fight to the death, so they fight against that and the ruling class. In the maze runner it makes perfect sense to split people up in different groups depending on their strengths and weaknesses, because these groups share their job, if you think about it, it's a reflection of real life. We have chefs, architects, builders, farmers etc. Plus the only reason that people watch the subjects of the maze runner is to gauge their abilities and reactions, and understand what the teens are going through. It's nothing like the hunger games if you get past them both being teen dystopian dramas that involve fighting somebody with more power.
@@beachesincali7606 Also, it had an intense storyline with betrayal, revelations, and a BUTT ton of drama around every corner.
Yeah but the hunger games is better lol
@@themovieeditorc6289 oh you high high
"Welcome to the glade, where nothing is ever explained." That sums up most of the first book.
That’s why there’s other books
So what's definitely not covered in this movie is that:
a) Thomas was described as literally not being able to see hardly anything on the way up to the Glade
b) Alby was described as "one of the first" in the Glade and not necessarily the very first one
c) Gally was previously stung, and recovered some memories of Thomas, which is why he was suspicious of him when he first sees him enter the Glade
c.1) Gally's lowkey programmed to hate Thomas and be antagonistic
d) there's only boys in the Glade because in the second book, you find out that they had a separate experiment set up for the girls
c.2) Gally disappears at one point and doesn't reappear until later in the books
e) Newt by personality and role is the "Glue" of the group, so naturally he would probably want to make friends with Thomas even if he is estranged because he wants to keep everyone united rather than separated (though this is a bit of a speculation)
f) Thomas and Teresa can communicate telepathically in the books, so it makes sense why they feel a connection
f.1) Teresa breaks the sun and all supplies that previously came to them via the Box
f.2) because of this, the Maze itself seems less than functional and the doors don't close at night like they usually do, so the Gladers get attacked by Grievers
g) Albie threatened to throw Thomas off a cliff when he initially meets him
h) BIG FACT: the reason the runners are able to "map out" the Maze when it changes regularly is because they found that it repeats itself and Thomas finds that it repeats itself in a specific pattern
Conclusion: the movies (while not being the worst adaptations of books I've seen, like PJO) left out a lot of information that would've made the movies a lot less cliche to a dystopian action, and left out important elements in the plot that make it a lot more interesting/unique of a series.
that's pretty specific. good observations
there were so many little details that played huge roles left out as well. like how there was a cliff not a hole, the maps and weapons were burnt to the ground(the maps were saved), thomas climbed the wall to help alby(minho did nothing), they hid from the grievers in the homestead, they already had the serum, ben was stung prior to thomas entering the glade and everyone knew about it, thomas didn't kill the griever him and minho ran it off a cliff and gally ran into the maze out of anger or something like that
There are also small things in the ,movie that made me go crazy. In the books, it never rains in the glade, but in the first 15 min of the movie there is a downpour. Also in the movie when minho and Thomas spend the night in the maze, minho does not cower immediately like in the books. Oh yes and in the books his name is the only thing he can remember. They also do not have a bonfire in the books ( as far as I can remember). Alby also went into the maze ro find the dead greiver, not the greiver that stung Ben. In the movie they apparently immeadtly banish the ones stung by greivers instead of using the Serum.
Well put
ive only read the books (im planning on watching the movies) but honestly...wtf.. alot of these are like pretty important details for the story. idk if should watch the movies now lmao
Let me tell you right now, people. Even if the book explains something that was not explained or super vague movie, it still counts as a sin for the MOVIE. It is the movie's job to explain everything as if the book never existed. You shouldn't have to read the book in order to understand this movie. If so then this movie has failed, and that is why it has sins.
Exactly!!
Everyone who read the book knows that the movie was NOTHING like the book. So in my opinion, the movie and it's writers deserve infinite sins
Cassandra Horan i read thr book, and it was the same cliched garbage, hunger games meets lord of the flies with added plot ambiguity, exactly like the film. In fact I read the first two books and they both have rhe same failing plot development
Preach!
Just your every day broom salesman Exactly, because you didnt have to read or watch anything before in order to understand the book so if the movie is a proper adaptation you shouldnt have to read or watch anything before the movie to understand it.
That to me feels like something that should be common sense yet very few seem to understand that basic point.

11:02 I like how Mihno, the one who was there longer and had more experience, was the one out of the two to jump when the alarm sounded, but Thomas simply turned his head around.
Minho never experienced it because the alarm sounded because the thing they found in the griever being returned to section 7 closed the section. That’s how sections close
@@monkeygamer6911 I forgot Minho wasn't familiar with the alarm. What I meant was that he knew to be on edge, compared to Thomas.

Kinda funny how everyone is so fed up with it being like the hunger games or divergent but really the maze runner series was written before the hunger games and divergent.(Edit: The first hunger games book was published before the first maze runner book, but the maze runner book was written before the hunger games...)

the biggest problem I had with the movie is when Galley shows up in the end, and they try to explain his sudden appearance by showing that he is holding one of the tracers from the grievers leg... but... he had no way of knowing how to get to the area where the door was, nor did he know that the tracer would open the door, and even if he did, he would have also needed the code, not to mention there were three dead enormous grievers blocking the hallway... did he superman over them? cause he certainly didnt have time to figure out all of that on his own AND climb over all the dead moosh of the grievers AND conveniently choose the same direction down the endless corridors that would bring him silently up behind them.
it's explaining in the books (been a while since ive seen the movies) but he was being controlled via his chip
Same here, I almost would have preferred him being a spy to maybe discourage people as a test, but the whole last 15 minutes of the movie just barfs plot twists on the viewer so it doesnt really make a difference

I watched all three movies without reading the book, and while I wasn’t very invested, I had no idea he was supposed to have a limp till now. The only thing I noticed is that he was the only person in the movie with an accent.
Katrina Thinesen yeah it’s slightly hard to see, but if you look for it when he’s running, it’s more noticeable and it’s also very clear in some of the fleeted scenes
and he was ferb in phineas and ferb how can you not like this guy
damn, that's commitment
Here’s a sin. When we were introduced to Newt, Alby says that he is second in command and in charge when Alby is gone. So how could Gally have taken control when it was initially Newts job. *ding*
softpheonix I’m willing to bet it’s because Gally is a “tough bully” and can threaten almost anyone in the Glade and be able to back it up. They already said he had a lot of followers or friends so he probably took it by force.
The Roman Gladiator His point was always that he had broken the rules or pissed off the grievers. Now that something bad happened, Gally can easily blame it on Thomas cause he “killed a griever” or some shit.
Newt takes charge in the books, and Gally gets a good old fuckin' "Hey man, stfu we don't care." from the council. Just showing that books are better than movies! :D

One thing I never got, even after reading the books, why didn't they just put the kids in SIMULATED danger? people need to stop saying "read the book and you'll understand." this movie is not a tie-in to the book, it's an adaptation. it shouldn't be required to read the books to know what's going on.
Yes well that is to bad......... The book explains more and is much better.
+johan von bronx the movie actually follows the plot of the book (for the most part) and it does explain a lot more, sexept for what a shuck is or what shank means... I am still confused on that part
You do have a point, but you kinda would have to read the book to understand, because the movie leaves out crucial details. For instance, in the book they said that they've tried everything to get out and explained why certain things didn't work.
Poke marzel I agree, but the movie did do a bad job at explaining.
+Jedi Bird Plays it's not meant to explain everything in the one movie, they have more coming out such as the scorch trials which should explain more to the audience. If you don't think they did a good job explaining the movie, why don't you keep it to yourself?

1:47 well if you understood the movie and enjoyed it rather than over analysing it, you'd understand that there are patterns to how the maze changes. Though your videos are annoying I love em and find them rather funny
This is a really nerdy and just completely cliche argument, but the movies were actually horrid compared to the books. The last few books were a bit rocky, but they are just brilliant. If you haven’t read the books, I’d recommend them. The movies miss out on basically every important factor that comes into play. And the cranks are actually scary in the books. This is a personal opinion, but I really don’t get the hype around the movies. I think casting was quite good, but the script felt so rushed to me. So yeah, I’d recommend the books. I feel like you’d appreciate the complexity. (The scene with newt, you know the one, is so much more emotional). But yeah, have a great day. :)
@@drainedbag2169 I have read the books, and quite right, they are far better than the movie. I basically cried in almost all the "emotional" scenes with Newt, he's certainly the most connected character and by far my favourite.
JC C yay. I’m actually really happy. Newt was also my favourite character. I remember when he died in the books I was just crushed. I couldn’t handle life. I’m sorry if I seemed annoyed or anything. I get frustrated when people have only seen the movies and base their knowledge off of that. But it’s cool that you read the books :))
@@drainedbag2169 tis no problem. To watch the movies yet never read the books is a great disappointment. For those curious as to " why they didn't build a ladder or whatever" *it unfortunately wouldn't have mattered anyway because the maze is underground in the novel, the sky is a screen.* ( i am aware that in the movie it is above ground for some reason) Also they have implants in their brains so that W.I.C.K.E.D could trigger their amygdala (fear) when they got close to the top, so it's a literal mental block making them unable to go high enough.
Newt once tried to climb it and ended up jumping midway from the top to try to kill himself that is why he has a limp.
( This is all explained in 'the fever code')
*Edit*: hey:) I wasn't anticipating this response when I posted this, I just thought I would let you all know I am well aware that the Movie did fail in terms of informing the veiwer who has not read the book :/. I am merely clarify for those who are curious as to why they didn't build a ladder. And yes the movie does show it above ground which is once again wrong in accordance to the books.
Fear is never a permanent solution. Given enough motivation and that they can actually reach the top someone will at some point
Well how the fuck is anyone who hasn’t read the book supposed to know that since the film never explains that. It’s a valid criticism to the movie, but not the books.

2:58 +1 sin for the old "object swings one way, victim falls in the opposite direction" editing. Really emphasizes the strength of the hit!
ALRIGHT!! I rewatched this movie last night and am currently rereading the book, so let's do a takedown of all the sins they got wrong! (this probably won't cover all the sins in the video)
1. I think your brightness is down, also as you acknowledge it's to set the tone of the scene. Plus the Box was even darker in the book so what are you complaining about?
2. Maze Runner was published first!!
3. No it does not. It has it's own plot that does make changes from the book but then alters the results enough that it makes sense in a self-contained way
4. Literally the point
5. He wasn't actually listing rules, he just mentioned that "we're" not allowed to leave
6. I don't think it's about the Maze being a secret, he just wasn't supposed to know yet
7. That Is The Point (there's probably gonna be a lot like this)
9. See directly above
10. What Thomas should've said isn't wrong, but he wasn't thinking "wow they were right" he was thinking "what the hell those things move oh my god what am I gonna do in this stone box prison"
11. Teenage boys. They'll take any chance they get to throw something, especially if it's on fire
12. Firstly, I love calling Newt "Love, Actually". More to the point, he's the second-in-command, and it's not like there was really a negative impression of Thomas. He was just a confused moron, which happens plenty in this series
13. Yeah, he wouldn't know. Hence why Newt is telling him
15. Again, Thomas is just soaking up any kind of information he can get because he literally has no knowledge about this place. Probably not scanning for inconsistencies
16. OK first off, just keep watching. Second, that's how this particular maze is set up. Third, yeah they're being watched but it's not a TV show because No, this isn't Hunger Games
17. As a Hufflepuff this is personally offensive. Also there aren't four groups, and it's got nothing to do with the "bravest", the Runners get the most focus because Main Characters
19. I mean... it was pretty funny to me
20. It's an insult, kinda like 'idiot' or something like that
24. Because it's where Thomas is. Ben is literally there to attack Thomas, did you think he'd wander off and find Chuck?
26. Physics being mildly ignored (I'm saying 'mildly' because even though I'm not calculating it, it seems reasonable to assume that depending on the force and type of shovel, someone probably wouldn't die from a hit), obviously if they have to hold him down he isn't dead
27. This isn't even that confusing of a statement. Gally's saying that he was stung in the middle of the day, and his tone pretty clearly implies that that isn't normal
28. I mean, from Alby's perspective that would've seemed sufficient. Also I'm pretty sure there's some clip-cropping happening here because I definitely remember more to that conversation
29. It's called guilt?
31. Um... I mean literally no. That's the point of the amnesia you criticized earlier
32. This coming from Mr. "Some revelations about the Maze are made later" back in Sin 15
34. I present to you: anxiety!
36. Because hero complex. Or something
37. Dude, that scene is plenty well-lit, especially compared to the parts you complain about
38. How many times are you gonna get annoyed at The Actual Point Of The Movie
39. The REST of the Maze is changing. Obviously not every single inch of the Maze is gonna be completely different, that's not how things work. If I said, "I'm changing into dry clothes" and only my shirt was wet, you wouldn't assume that I'm changing my pants too, would you?
41. The Grievers almost only come out at night, hence why it's (mostly) safe to run the Maze during the day
42. More intelligent than what happened in the book. Thomas there had to spend hours pushing Alby up a wall limb-by-limb
43. The "Ursa ripoff" isn't looking at him. If someone's hiding behind something and is below your eye-level and you're also not looking in their direction, you aren't gonna see them
44. I present to you: panic!
48. I'd save the "roll credits" moment for when he actually becomes a Runner
50. It's called dodging you nimrod. Just because a bad guy doesn't hit their target doesn't automatically equal Stormtrooper aim
51. He wasn't actually that high-up, and he landed on a pile of ivy
54. Yeah but he could've just ran without letting the Griever chase him. Initiative was his
55. They have an organized society and you're surprised that they have a sensible way to discuss and decide on things?
58. I present: charisma on the part of the antihero!
61. I mean in the clip you're showing you casually blanked the audio where Newt obviously says "let's not jump to any conclusions"
62. I mean, it's meant to show that even the ones who basically run the Glade are confused by the development. Jeez, maybe there's a reason filmmakers don't trust their audiences anymore
63. Any reasonable person would assume it was dumb luck, especially someone like you who just considers it "good timing"
66. I didn't see the light the first time I watched this movie, and even on my rewatch I only saw it because I was looking for it
68. Because becoming a Runner is seen as a reward, since those guys have what's viewed as the most important job
70. Wait literally 10 seconds and they explain it!
71. OK except that wouldn't be true either. Minho says he's run the whole thing, so yeah it's big but not so big that they haven't found the whole thing. At least telling them it changes (which isn't a complete lie even) gives the Gladers more hope
74. Not like it was a long run, and imagine being a teenage boy and saying "this girl way outsmarted us and is now on top of a tower throwing rocks" without severely damaging your ego
76. I think she meant details about her life, not the most common thing about a person
80. Why the hell would they? They don't explain stuff that comes in the Glade, it's up to the kids to figure it out. That's the whole point of it being a test
81. AND AGAIN, Maze Runner was written first!
82. They're punishing him because he broke the rules. That's how that works
83. Sinning real life. Ah-huh. Um... yeah that's automatically invalidated
84. I'm just swinging around to the "Maze not actually changing" thing you brought up earlier, this is the way the Maze changes! It changes and opens up new sections. So take back the sin from earlier because you didn't pay attention to the dialogue
86. The key is like a compass or something, the beeping gets faster when you go the right direction
87. Given that Minho said he'd "run every inch" of the Maze, the implication is that this is a new area he hasn't seen
89. The last "gate" is the code one. You could brute-force through the concrete but you'd need a code to get through the last door
90. They aren't carrying much, also Minho's bag is way bigger. The harness is so it doesn't fall off, obviously
91. Why would they be that surprised about finding out that something they'd never seen before looked a certain way? Also the Grievers aren't entirely machine, they're part organic hence being able to be killed
94. If he doesn't get to the other side he'll get trapped. It's not a hard thing to figure out
95. Corridors in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION of where they were coming from!
97. Antihero, not antagonist. If you're gonna nitpick little things that literally don't matter then I'll do the same
99. They aren't exactly focused on hitting on her when their leader's been stung and things are pretty clearly going to hell
101. How is the pronoun game more annoying than just not explaining stuff, at least there you get an idea about who the who is
105. It's a candle. Used to light somewhere. I wonder why it would ever be out in a dark place at night
108. Caved-in-roof isn't exactly a viable entrance when the roof is made of sharp sticks that are now broken
111. The Grievers attacked until a certain number of people were dead. In the book that number was one, obviously that got altered
112. One for them to see what it did, one for a more important use.
114. Did it not already get established by the walking-in-the-open that the Grievers were gone?
115. Gally obviously has a lot of support, that's what the movie shouldn't have to spell out for you
116. You're sinning honesty now?
117. He saw himself and Teresa at a computer screen MANNING THE MAZE CONTROLS. Can you not read?
118. That is more than what's been found in at least a year
121. Yeah but they did. It's not really interesting to be like "but what if they didn't do that" when they did do that
122. It's not like they're having an easy time with it, he's frantically shouting the numbers
124. No it's "movie that has a story with loose threads left hanging because it's the first in a series" level bs. And it's not bs!
128. That button is at Thomas's old work station, and it was bright red and flashing. Obviously someone would push it
129. When you read a mystery the answer comes at the end
133. You don't have to understand what's happening to recognize change
134. Well that is how cliffhangers work.
So! End total sins not including the ones I knocked out? 55. I knocked out 79 of these heckers and i think that's pretty impressive!
Don't be mad at the video, it's just a joke lol
This comment would've been much easier to follow had you used timestamps instead of numbers.
this is too much
The movie is so different from the book it's not even funny. In the book everything makes sense and is explained, but in the fucking movie they take out the best parts and make it confusing as shit
The book sucks too
"In the book everything makes sense and is explained,"
I have read the entire series, and yeah, no. The book is a disaster of plot construction, explanation, and characters. It reads like somebody trying to see if they could cash in on the hunger games craze with as little effort as possible. And then the sequels read like they were shocked that they succeeded and had no effing clue what to do next.
God smak I bet you didn't read the book xD
Professor Pig35 I read the book my senior year in highschool
I bet you didn't finish school
vlogerhood Maze runner came out before the hunger games
"Isn't that right, Hufflepuff?" Yeah.
As a Hufflepuff, I definitely gasped at that one. Oops.
TemporaryButterfly same
2:31 Especially as the twist is eventually revealed to be that everyone there is a genius, and they're trying to isolate the best ones. No genius was ever NOT curious.
nothing will ever change how much i love this movie
In the book Chuck's death was a lot worse/emotional because you connect with him a bit more. Also, the mivie changed so many important parts of the book, they shouldnt have even made this movie. This movie was pretty shity, it explained almost nothing and the only reason I knew what was going on was because I read the book.
Movie*
I agree. I read the book and that's the only way I understood it. It's like what they did with the cirque du freak series and the one movie they made
Hellishnightmare You read the Cirque Du Freak. Have you read Darren's other book series, The Demonata??
The first thing that made me hate the movie was when it rained IN the Glade XD
When me and my friends watched this in the theatre we were just shouting shit out and dissecting the movie for everyone else's entertainment
In the book, Thomas never killed the griever the first time he went into the maze, it fell off into the plot, literally.
Thomas was also left alone with the unconscious guy because the veteran guy soiled himself (not really but might as well) and ran away.
They also never made models of the maze, they made maps.
The girl never freaked out because he has some sort of unquestionable faith in thomas and the memory wipe thing didn't immediately work on her and the two of them could telepathically communicate with each other. because reasons.
The boys always had the cure if one was stung by a griever.
The griever hole was hidden behind an illusion that looked like a cliffs edge.
Gally ran into the maze and didn't come back in the first 3rd of the book and became a appointed voice for the grievers stating that they will take one boy per night for the mysterious program.
after the girl wakes up the sun goes out making it obvious that it was artificial and that they will not be able to grow crops, feed the animals or tell time anymore.
several boys were killed when fighting the grievers.
They didn't find the scientist dead, they were killed in front of them by "rebels".
Gally was mind controlled (because reasons) and killed the fat kid.
thomas then proceeded to beat the crap out of gally.
And Thomas never killed Gally and Gally has black hair and a potato nose. Not to forget that he never 'Rose to power'. And a bus hit that foaming lady and took them away, not a helicopter and it was never above ground, only under, and they made Chuck take a bullet for Thomas, he didn't jump in front of him at his own free will. And the maze repeated the same patterns after a month and they had to do that 'put backing paper on top of each other and trace' thing. Not to mention that they started staying out all night in the maze and that the maze is square, with nine sections. And they missed out Thomas sleeping in the woods at night, the fact that the Map room is right next to the Box (not the middle of the woods) and that the council thing is only attended to by the Keepers, no one else. And that they hid in the Homestead wen the Grievers arrived..
So basically.. NOTHING MAKES SENSE
A movie based off a book that's very different from the source? What a surprise
they had simple wristwatches to tell time..
Newt: no One has ever survived a night in the maze
Thomas: hold my beer
Maze Runner trilogy would forever be the BEST trilogy out there!
"Love actually over here" ..hahaha, gave me a good lol so it did

Everything wrong with the Maze Runner the Movie
It’s nothing like the book...
that's how every movie and book is like so what are you talking about?!
Exept hunger games they did that pretty well only a few things were changed.
Hallelujah btw
I didn't mind the movies, but I disliked the books. They were pretty bland imo

Yes, yes it is. And I feel it every day
I love how calm he sounds
Uhm.... why didn't they just build a ladder...?
The sky is false but that's only stated in the book so it's still a sin
Greivers can get them from up there. Not because of the sky.
Can't remember why, but it explains in the book.
Books books books its a MOVIE
But at the end of the movie it shows that the sky is real
When you remember that Teresa was actually sent into the maze with her memories, and she was just a good actor in all of it.
Edit: It's at the end of the fifth book. They don't mention it in the movies because the scenarios are different; they also might not have even read the fifth book, so they wouldn't have known.
Edit 2: Apparently people are STILL pressed about this. Just stop arguing, it's pointless. I'm not changing this comment, because just because it didn't help you, doesn't mean it doesn't help others. 😂
In the books, she didn't have them. The movies were just rubbish and changed things for no good reason meaning they had the scrabble to make sense later.

Abbray actually in the books she had her memory too, it’s explained in the fever code

That fucking bitch
Ok let me just get 1 thing straight:
The maze runner was written before the hunger games (it was written in 2006)
But the hunger games was published in 2008, so the author for the maze runner wouldn't be able to copy because it was published AFTER he finished writing his story.

you forgot something that has bothering me alot, that woman explaining everything and nothing shoots herself in the head in the end of her video, but when they leave she stands up alive where she shot herself and wipes the blood off, what did everyone die and she was there the whole god damn time waiting for them to show up while she plays dead, and them watching the video and leave so she could finally stand the fuck up and wipe the damn fake blood? how long was she waiting?

So why don't you stop being an idiot and analyze stuff before you hate on it. Same goes for whoever made this video. If you don't care for a movie just keep your mouth shut and don't think of crappy reasons why it sucks. (this is no longer directed at you Random Dude)Another thing is I hadn't read the books before I saw this so the "this screams read the books first" load of crap. I understood what was happening just as much as after I read the books; Though I will admit that the insight the book provides is helpful, but still not necessary to understand the movie.
dude you forgot the most obvious and biggest sin: chuck gets shot by that dude that stays behind at thr center of the maze. how did he get there? he wasnt with the groep and did he walk through the 3 closed doors through the "monsters" though the round hole you need a code for?
how did he get there= how did he get out of the maze to meet them there

But Cinema Sins doesn't have a "trailer" to base the honest trailer on

I read about 15 pages of the book and was appalled at how terrible the writing was and haven't had any interest in this franchise since
IronicallyNonIronic If something sucks, why would you read anything after it?
That's like saying "Wow, the writing in twilight is terrible but I might as well read on even though I have no interest in this at all."
IronicallyNonIronic
15 pages is a fair shake. Shit, if something isn't interesting on page 1 I see no reason to continue. That's all agents read when they decide whether to get you published.
IronicallyNonIronic Sorry but if I'm not enjoying something, I'm not gonna continue reading it, because I'm not a masochist and ain't nobody got time for that. Besides, it wasn't the story that disinterested me, it was the WRITING. A story might progress and get better, but in a roughly 200 page novel, the writing isn't likely to get any less shitty. You can take your elitist bs and stuff it.
IronicallyNonIronic I don't think anyone is obligated to read more than one and a half pages of any book...
Elizabeth La (throwing this out there for no reason) Have you heard of Red Rising? Great book that takes a YA fiction-style premise to more mature writing and does it stronger than the books its compared to. You should check out the synopsis when you get a chance! :D
randomtwist I actually really appreciate that recommendation :) I find that YA books have such interesting worlds and premises, but most of the time they end up being very cliche' and juvenile. I'll definitely check it out.
15:35 you forgot to add how the bad guy arrived there so fast when the group literally had a hard time just to go there
i remember watching this hundreds of times as a kid and having a MAJOR crush on dylan
1. Build a ladder to the top.
2. Walk on the Walls.
3. FREEEDOM!
4. No more Movies.
it doesn't work, from how it plays out at the end it's seems to be a fake sky and the exit is in the labyrinth not over. But you expect them to have at least tried or show that they built ladders to find that out
***** In the books they're all underground, so the ladders wouldn't have solved anything, but you'd think that they'd mention that they weren't in an above-ground location. But in the movie it's blatantly an above-ground maze in the middle of a desert (which has it's own problems but nevermind that) so the ladders would've worked in the movie maze.
You gor that from hishe
115_zombie_slayer uhh what?
Confused Fry yes but did the kids were told it's underground? was it like a roof with lightbulb? My problem is not that it won't fix the issue but that all we have is jojen reed saying won't work every time with nothing to back up how they know while telling the guy to stop thinking about how to escape
How do they all have perfect hair cut and facial hair? Do they just have a glade barber shop?
Nash miller My thoughts exactly whenever I'm watching a movie like this
I mean guys can shave with a knife and they can be hairy.I want to see how teresa would look if she was there longer.
She looks bad enough as it is
Its a movie/novel for teens. Wouldn't attract its target audience if they were dirty and unkempt.
It's like this in almost every movie
How did you miss Gally teleporting from the maze to the control room at the end of the movie? That shit was next level!
"And that's exactly how the smurfs got smurfette"
Why are these book to movie movies always so date inaccurate. THE DAMN PRISON IS MADE OF STEEL IN THE BOOK!!!!
Or the grever hole
True
They had to jump into a slimey hole and slide down a slimey slide.
Nice avatar xD
its more realistic in the movie, I mean I doubt teenage boys could make a steel prison
Another sin: Gally said they've been in the Glade for 3 years. That makes 36 people for 36 months. But in one early scene, you can see a lot more than 36 people.
A group was send in the first month.
Sally They said Alby was alone for a month
Sally That's only stated in the book and most people here didn't read the book
not to mention that it should be less than 36, since some died
they didn't stick to the book. because in the book there's suppose to be 60+ because the first Glader came with 20+ people and they didn't come up the box. they were placed in the glade. so they all worked together then each month they receive one more.
they messed up on the part where they say that Alby had to be alone for one whole month bc the first people who mostly the keepers and they came all together.
I remember watching this movie when we were supposed to be reading the book for this
"...sent in the food to help the gamers" is the funniest line
To all the people talking about the books:
This channel is *Cinema*sins, not *Literature*Sins. We are here to look at the sins of the movies, not the source material. If we were, then Watchmen would have way less sins, for example. But no, this is a channel about movies, not books. If you want videos where the books come into it, watch "What's The Difference?" on CineFix.
I think this is one of the best comments ever, thank you for this!
Super S0N1KK True.
13 Piece Bucket Good point! And I’ll be sure to check out What’s the Difference
Super S0N1KK the movie is not the book. I have no desire to read the book. I also have no desire to watch the movie.
To be fair, I just read the books and most of the sins are in the books as well not counting the ones clearly used for humor reasons.
However after listening to this I'm confused af as it seems they took our major plot points and details that would pretty much sum up many of the sins, making me question why the fuck they bothered doing it.
You Forgot This:
Alby said he's been in the maze for three years, and every month theirs one new person. In the movie its said that there's 50-100 people, but if he's only there for three years then that would mean theres 36 people, BUT if you also include all the people that died in the maze over the years, their should be about fifteen.
In the, books if I remember, Newt said that the first couple of months like 5-6 came up. The “originals” were Alby, Newt, Minho, and I think some others.
When does it say there's 50-100 boys?
And in the book Newt says there were around 50 people to start with and 1 person came every month after that
@@lefft0 That's true, but in the movie they changed it to one per month and Alby being the first to survive that long alone. Still, they never said or showed in the movie that there was anywhere close to 50-100 boys.
DD yeah that’s true
I understood the movie perfectly fine without reading the book soooo
Then you don’t understand the actual plot. Although they are similar, they are a little different
@@sophiejjc4567 so what’s the actual plot
Them lighting touches and throwing 3ft away 😂
The only thing bad about reading the book first is that you will be extremely disappointed at how different the movie is from the book
Unless you didn't like the book that much, so the only way is up :)
Bobby Arteaga Thank god, you are the first person I’ve seen who said this. I agree cause it is so different it might as well be a whole different storyline.
Bobby Arteaga Yeah. As Cinema says, Chuck’s death really doesn’t have impact because he didn’t really hang out with Thomas in the movie, when in the book they were 100% buddy-buddy, whilst in the movie they distributed all the time Chuck spent with him with the other cast.
This is generally the case unfortunately
The movie is not like the book
Heh. The book was way better. I mean, they made you actually care about chuck. And had him die in a different place under different wounds. And I bit more is explained. But everything changes in e second book. I mean, this is probably the only movie in this franchise that makes you care about wicked.
If you have seen the movie don't get the book. A lot more people will start to say this, you will begin to notice. Maybe not about this movie, but still.
;^; why would you say that?
