    The media absolutely love to use Arsenal now to create buzz and content but don’t actually rate Arteta and Arsenal. No talk on picking Tomiyasu to shut down Salah, no talk on how 2nd half Arsenal just played liverpool of the park by adjusting their press, no talk on how Arsenal played on the counter in the first half when Pool were on top and still outscored Pool, everything is “CAN YOU BE CHAMPIONS” agenda when absolutely no one from the club or the rational fans even consider that our goal.
    The truth is that by signing Haaland, City have essentially made competing for the league a non issue and somewhat of a farmer’s league in that sense but they need to promote their product that is the EPL as the most competitive league, it really isnt anymore, not at the moment, now when Pool are missing, United and Chelsea have new managers. It’s all about pushing the product that is the league.

      @@carnagegaming3016 Arsenal played that city without Arsenal having extra games between weeks whereas city were coming off a cup game and visibly tired yet still won. When they both were not tired city beat Arsenal 5-0. Last city doesn’t count man. This city team ,barring injuries , will score a lot against anyone in the league including Arsenal. Arsenal do concede goals when teams attack their high line so they better not play that high line against city otherwise they will destroy Arsenal by half time like they did United . Mind you Arsenal are playing at the full of their abilities . Man city beat teams without going to second gear and end games at half time 3-0 4-0 and most of their top players don’t even play the full games . So my point here is that Arsenal are a good team but they have a long way to match city bro . As much as Arsenal have improved , this city team are a much better system than last season and that’s why they having lost yet.

Xhaka or Partey being switched out for Lokonga is a BIG drop off. Saka or martinelli being dropped for marquinhos is a big drop off. Fabio vieria looks a great baller... But out wide is not his threatening area... He is more a Odegaard backup. On defense if a cb drops out atleast Ben white can slot in and Tierney/tomi can come onto the pitch... If Jesus is out, nketiah is a drop in quality for sure... But not the worst replacement ever... So Arsenal's problem is depth... The owners cannot hide when losing and come out smiling when winning. If not for Klopp, this team he assembled has performed beyond boundaries. We get UCL, we’ll step the spending up another level to really cement a push for the top titles.

    • @Dunk1970
      @Dunk1970 Před rokem

      They are suggesting that the team needed to start their transition a couple of years ago, but couldn't easily because of the Covid lockdowns. Liverpool do now have lots of old and young players. Starting two years ago, the team would have a few more mid twenties players in there. Those oldies in midfield are getting too old to do the press. Without that press, the opposition can time their through balls. Personally, I think that Thiago hasn't got the fitness to close down space and Henderson is no longer able to do it through a whole match, Milner has finally dropped below the fitness level where he's even capable as a sub and Fabinho is in and out of the team with fitness problems. Mane used to chase back, but he did this less and less in the last couple of seasons and Diaz does this so I think too much is said about Mane being missed. As much as I miss him, LFC need to move on from the 30+ year olds. Basically, I think the back four just don't get the support they used to from midfield. Keita and OxC just need to go, as they are always injured and they need to buy one busy quality CM and one CDM.
      There is a lot to be said for the psychological effect of how the season ended and the prospect of Man City being even stronger. To be fair, if Liverpool spend two transfer windows buying well, then the transition might be completed.
