Forgot to mention that the reverse light lite up in "Red" on driver side and "White" on the passenger side, I heard this is a known issue that can be fixed via an addition wiring harness. I will confirm once we received the wiring harness.
Can confirm same experience with my recent install, Hannshow is sending me the adapter to resolve this. no eta ( I also have a 2020 Model 3 with 3 pin taillights). 3 pin will show turn signals where 4 pin (late 2020 / 2021) will not
Hansshow’s solution to this is a secondary wire harness which disconnects that inner Foglight portion of the taillight since US spec cars don’t use this
The Tesla Offer version of the Eagle Eye taillight doesn’t have this problem
Yes that fixes it. The additional harness connects the white/blue wires in the trunk lights, (and just passes through the red/yellow).
This solves the red light reverse on driver's side, and will now show white reverse light instead.
Where do you get the additional harness?
Those lights look nice. I love the animation. But it's way too hard to install. Congratulations on doing this tough job!

Sadly I just cut mine off and had to rejoin the 4 wires per connector. Messy!
After the installation I have some problems with the right side flasher .. it goes without flashing and after it start flashing but the rear fog is light up but doesn’t flash … on the left side everything is perfect even the rear fog acting perfectly..

Nice and clean install. Like the lighting animation. Are these DOT approved / street legal replacements? I'm assuming not. And if you get rear-ended, the opposing lawyer can likely point this out and make things difficult.

Like the look of these but wish the amber signal didn't come on with the brake lights. I'd be curious if anyone finds a fix so that they only come on when signaling

Hello David, sorry i didn't, it isn't my car and my friend who i installed these for, doesnt get bothered by it since she can't see it (ha!) but i think the better option is to get the red turn signal version so it doesnt look out of place....but since you already have the amber version...maybe look into adding a red tinted film over the amber turn signal?
Very informative video but I would be afraid to void my warranty if I let someone install those lights. I dont think it would be a problem but you never know.
Thanks! Swapping oem tail lights back doesn’t take long, the oem harness is still there, just ignore the aftermarket you installed. But I understand, not everyone would want to mess with electronic aftermarket component, safety component you can say.
it's very useful video, i also have an issue with break lights. when i put the break, the break lights and turn signal been on together. how can i fix?

Tried on the 2022 tesla model y and the driver side doesnt work when parking lights is on. Not sure what could be wrong with the pin setup.
It should work 100% on a Model Y, Altho I have no installed one. Check the pins and all connection, maybe something is fault or loose
@@TeslaDIY 2022 has the 4-pin, while parking light is on only the right side works. i did a test and plug the driver side connector to the driver side, still not working.
How about when you put the car in reverse?
Reverse shows up on a tiny light at the bottom, however, currently it shows up in red on the driver side and white on the right side. I was told this kit is missing a harness which fixes this, you can watch i1tesla Brian’s video, he mentioned about a missing cable.
Were you guys able to figure out the turn signal/brake issue?
No, it isn’t my car I installed on and the owner of the car said it doesn’t bother her so we never looked into it

That's so Hilarious! Why on earth would you think that?? These actually have an amber turn signal, which make much more sense than a red turn signal. Also it's animated. Are you okay? You aren't making sense at all.
