Thank you SO much for having me on; this was so much fun and I learned a lot; you are a great educator and surgeon; thank you Dr. Gary !!
Great Collaboration 🤩
Best collab ever
@Karina Torres All hail, King Biden! He defeated the orange jester by a landslide. 🤪🤣
the collab we needed!!
I love your content - you guys are a great team
I always thought that the ponytail lift had that name because it tried to recreate what happens when you wear a tight and high pony tail and the skin gets pulled upwards
IKR!
Those nerves are so important! I’m glad you showed us the layer with all the superficial nerves. People often forget we have nerves on the superficial layer that is exposed during a eyelift. It can cause long term chronic nerve pain, numbness and sagging eyelids in a very inexperienced surgeon’s hands. Always good to go to someone who is board certified and does this surgery on a regular basis
What if they have been doing facelifts over 20 yrs but not board certified
@@aprilcloyce7426 Then...'Good luck' 🤞🏼
@@aprilcloyce7426 then forget about this surgeon!
As a nursing student, forty years ago, the first surgery I observed was an old-fashioned facelift. I almost passed out. Still, it's fascinating.
Why did you almost pass out?
@@gilleous - I’m not the original poster, but I suspect that it might have been due to the graphic nature of it. You’re literally cutting into someone’s face - so you’ll see lots of skin, blood, nerves - the whole shabang. It’s gory. I imagine she might have felt a little squeamish and light-headed by seeing all of that up close and personal. I definitely would have fainted, I’m sure.
@Sabrina Valenzuela Nah..... It was seeing WHICH 😉 Celebrity it was being done on.
▪︎ The one she'd always admired.
And who always said...(in interviews)...they weren't against cosmetic surgery. Just that it wasn't right for them. As they had "a low pain threshold." 🤥
▪︎ That's why she nearly passed out. 🤣🤣
LOVVVVVE Lorry Hills channel, that’s how I found yours. One of the things I love about your channel is that you say that many of these procedures don’t make people look younger, they make their skin look tighter. I’ve thought the same thing and I feel like its very rare and respectable to hear a plastic surgeon say that.
Yeah, I love that part too! His transparency is astounding, and that’s what I appreciate the most.
31:05 omg I was just thinking how I would love to watch an actual surgery of this procedure and then you said you will make one! Best channel on youtube for sure.
I would also love it if you could make an in depth video like this for a brow lift if it's possible. That is the surgery I am personally most interested in because I always feel like it makes the biggest difference in someone's transformation.
But the jowls a double chin. Do you look at yourself from an angle that is not head on into the mirror? If it all doesn’t match what’s the point?
I agree
I love that I see you everywhere lol from KoreanEnglishman to Dr. Gary's channel
I'm here for Dr. Gary's bloopers once again 🤭
* fingers crossed *
Thank you! It felt like taking a whole lecture on facelifts. (even though this is just a micro point of the tip of the iceberg I'm sure) it was very interesting, and clear, perfectly tailored for somebody not well versed, on human anatomy.
Agree with you it was so informative!
I absolutely love the videos you two do together. It's fantastic seeing conversations between surgeons and patients like this. Please produce more of these! I'm watching this whilst eating breakfast and it's not only entertaining, but educational too 💖
Thanks for watching!!!
This is so great. You're providing education not clickbait. I really appreciate that, and I think that doctors should be doing this more often for laypeople! Thanks Doc!
The fact that i watch both of your videos every day and now see you guys collaborate is kinda crazy to me
Had to pause the video to comment Dr. linkov, your skin is so freakin flawless!
Hi Dr Gary. My friend was pressured by her mother to get asian eye surgery. She was always very pretty and I do not think that she needed it. But she did it. now, one eyelid had a problem and needs to be redone. The surgeon doing the repair suggested rhinoplasty and a chin implant, which is insane because she has a great nose and jawline already. I am concerned that her mother will convince her to do even more stuff that will greatly change her appearance for no good reason.
What are your thoughts on how to discourage people from getting unnecessary surgery? Would love to hear your thoughts, might make a good video topic for you as well.
Thanks
Leaving a comment and a like to push it up. Hope he sees this, sorry about your friend.
@JOHN LELEMON many people don’t know they have an abusive parent and even when they do, many can’t muster the strength to cut off their parents.
Those are significant surgeries with a long healing process, maybe you could tell her about the risks/complications. Would also consider a different surgeon, sounds like they just want to make money
This makes me so sad to hear these comments. Imagine having a mother like this. So incredibly sad. Thinking of your friend 😔
Can your friend go to a different consultation with another surgeon? She’s looking to get an upper bleph revision, nothing else. A big part of surgery is feeling like you can trust your surgeon and that they have your mental and physical health in mind. It doesn’t sound like your friend has a surgeon who is listening to her concerns. She should see another surgeon for a consult who will actually listen to her.
I really love when you make this content with such medical focus. It’s a great and ironic distraction for when I get too overwhelmed with medical school 😁
Nice! Congratulations on getting into medical school. That’s such a wonderful accomplishment. I’m proud of you, love. Are you specializing in plastic surgery too? 💕
The most simplified and in depth explanation of various face lift procedures I have ever witnesed. Thank you for taking out the time from your busy schedule.
I continue to be amazed at how this Doctor breaks down complex medical procedures and makes things so easy to understand.
Thank you!
Wow this was so informative. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate medical professionals who educate instead of just saying “trust me”. Its the only way to reach true concordance between doc and patient. Most people are capable of understanding basic body and health facts when discussed with a good instructor like you. It increases trust in the medical field, something rapidly vanishing, and it empowers everybody. Minimizing the mistakes and risk caused by misunderstandings. This is so refreshing, thank you. 🙏
I am 70, I have always wondered what facelifts actually involved. Thank you for this video. It was amazing. Also I enjoy watching your videos of the 'stars'.
LOVING these crossover episodes. I've been dying to watch exactly a video like this, thank you Lorry!!
Thank you for explaining some of the intricacies of the deep plane face lift. I had mine done almost 14 months ago by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon here in CT. The aesthetic result is quite satisfactory. However, I lost sensation to the areas supplied by the GANs (bilaterally). I now have a better understanding as to how this may have happened. There were other post-op issues, as well, and these were handled quite poorly by the surgeon. If I could turn back time and do it over again, I would insist on staying overnight in the hospital for pain management. The post-op pain was excruciating. As well, I now believe that telling patients that they can go back to work "in two weeks" is a marketing ploy. Needless to say, I will never refer my friends, family members or patients to the Plastic Surgeon who performed my DPFL. Regardless. I enjoy your videos and find them educational and interesting.
I've had a few surgeries due to an accident and they never mention just how painful recovery is and what a stress it is on the body. They never show just how brutal and rough some surgeons are during surgery, I've seen youtube videos of surgeries on a Hydrocele and the doctors were so rough with the body part it was like they were struggling to change a car wheel, not working on an actual human. They did not have a delicate touch at all, and this was work they were proud to put on the Internet.
Since having surgeries, if a doctor suggests a surgery the first thing I will do is look up the procedure on CZcams. Then I will think long and hard about wether it is actually worth it or not. I always picture - what are the docs doing in this surgery - how would this surgery feel if I was fully awake and conscious? Well you will feel it all in a few hours when the anasthetic wears off!
Tzipporah, I'm sorry to read that you had uncontrolled pain after surgery. I don't get why surgeons don't understand that we have different pain outcomes after surgery. Lol, they of anyone, should know that we heal better and are overall happier with our pain controlled. Hope you are doing better now 🙂
I have never heard of excessive pain after a facelift .
The collab we KNEW we needed :’)🤍
We need Dr. Gary’s sunscreen recommendations. Your skin looks amazing!
Love seeing professionals discuss these kinds of topics! Thank you so much for the awesome information!
Fantastic video. Thank you very much for going to all the effort of using the model, recaps with graphics and pros/cons. And seeing the examples on celebrities was excellent.
This is the kind of content I was looking for! Great video
Extremely in depth and I loved it!!!
Wow, that was some anatomy lesson today! Thank you Dr. Linkov for your expert instruction and thanks Lorry for real life context.
wow, so in depth! thanks dr gary! also thanks for the collab to help us understand more!
Really incredible Doctor! You explained such complicated information in a clear way that someone without medical knowledge can understand. You also covered ALOT of information but you stuck to an outline and were not redundant. I have a far better understanding on these topics than i did before! Thank you so much!!
I love Dr. Garys way of explaining these complicated topics 😍
What a wonderful educational video! Thanks so much for taking the time to show us.
Thank you, Dr. Linkov for these educational videos! I'm a medical student and I appreciate that you go into the anatomy, pros/cons, surgical technical details, etc. It's all so interesting to learn about and you articulate it so well! Keep up the great work!
This was such a fantastic video, loved the explanations and the celebrity examples, really really informative. Thank you.
I love when y'all collab! You're both a part of the few plastics enthusiasts that focus more on what makes someone feel beautiful than what the public would perceive would make you more beautiful for their eyes. Much love to you both
Your voice is so calming.. I could listen to you ramble all day.
Great info , thank you
Dr. Gary, I can keep looking only because you are showing us. Thank you so much.
I really appreciate this type if video because it educates us patients in what to ask so we are speaking and understanding our surgeon properly. I believe this will also I.prove the relationship between the Dr and the patient and in particular the expected outcome because you are speaking the same language.
THANK YOU!!!!
The best collaboration!!
Love this collab! Very informative! ❤️
New subscriber!! Thank you Dr Gary for awesome explanation on a the facelift. So many of us dont know what we really getting ourselves into we see all this celebrity looking beautiful but oh man we dont see or know how much time and money they spend! And not all surgeons are the same. Please people do your research and ask many questions and have everything in writing what your getting done. Especially if your getting mommy makeover so many surgeries are done at once make sure theirs 2 surgeon's bc if one surgeon is doing it he will definitely miss something you payed for. Never ever pay cheap!!! Please! You'll pay more in the end. Any surgery is no joke! I went through so much money that I look at myself and i hate what i see. I've could of avoided if I asked more ? and had everything in writing what i was getting done!
I had my mommy makeover in 2 surgeries. Breast lift/reduction first, then my tummy tuck and lipo a year later. I couldn’t handle getting a bunch of stuff done at the same time, the recovery was brutal enough especially the tummy tuck. But I’m thrilled with my results 😅
I don't agree that paying more you always get better result , just because a surgeon charges more does not mean you will always get a better result . the same with any business just because someone puts a high prices on anything does not always mean , you are getting good value for your money.
Plastic surgeons in the most expensive cities and countries in the world usually charge more because the cost of living is so high and their overheads are so much higher .
People should always do a lot of research before they get any plastic surgery .
Some plastic surgeon specialize in certain areas , for example a surgeon who does mainly breast surgery may not have much experience in facial surgery .
Often it is the plastic surgeon who has the most experience in the area of surgery required is the best one to do the surgery and also if the surgeon has a very good reputation for successful surgery regardless of where the plastic surgeon is situated .
Very educational! Thanks for all the effort you put into making this
These videos are so informative I love it. It feels like I'm a student!
What a wonderful video! I bet this will be very beneficial for patients AND med students!! Great work 💖
Dr Gary, even though I don't know you, you're my favorite hairless person. And you may rather not have it, but alopecia looks great on you. Appreciate your very informative videos so much. 💗
Love it when you partner with Lorry!
Thank you for this fascinating explanation of facelifts! ❤. The fact that you are double certified is reassuring and comforting!
Very cool and informative, thanks for the time set aside to make this video for us!
A great job explaining the basics of a very complex topic!
This makes me curious about different types of scar treatments. Could you possibly in a future video talk about what you can do to minimize and treat scars?
WOW! Love this type of video Dr. Linkov!
Thanks for the educational content dr.Gary!
I swore I’d never have plastic surgery but here at 69, I want a neck and face lift.
so interesting and very well explained! please more of videos like these!
Rhinoplasty one coming soon!!! Already filmed it.
very detailed explanation .. probably the best i have seen so far working at the plastic surgery field myself
🙏
Brilliant topic and very well executed. Great job guys an admirer from London ❤️
Wow, this video had an extraordinary amount of great info and was very well done. I feel guilty for not paying for a consultation with the doc. 😉
You can pay for a consultation lol
After watching your videos, I’m going back for a 2 nd consultation so I can verbalize with my Doc, which type he intends to do and why and other recommendations about the fat graph under my eyes, rethinking that. My neck seems straight forward.
I don't even really have much more than a morbid curiosity about plastic surgery. But I somehow found your videos and they are so fascinating. Plus you have a really calming demeanor. I feel like you could start reading from the dictionary and I'd keep listening. I doubt I'll get plastic surgery though, unless I have a bad accident or something. Never say never I guess, but I think it would mess with my head more than anything else.
It’s addictive lol. You get one successful plastic surgery, and you want more 😆
Never say never! Ha
I’m having a neck lift and face and I’m 76! Interestingly, the last 2-3 years have not been king to me. This video truly put me at ease! Also, abs very importantly, I did my research, found a doctor U have confidence in! 🙏
Thank you dear Doc, I'm working a lot of Years in Medicine, specially in Surgery/Emergency and all kinds of Accident-Reconvalescent Aesthetician Surgery (whooo, I hope that's understandable ?? ), and later over 30 years as Midwife and "Obstetric Nurse" (I'm European/German, very diverse from US System and more independent in my Profession) .
But because of a too hard Life and very traumatised Expieriences I've lost my "Smile", I just try to explain that I can see, that the Years of Sadness and very Bad Life destroy my before "lucky Face " and I WANT IT BACK! 😲😣😢
I want to spend my next last years with a bit more Happiness in my Face. ...It makes me very happy that you explained my "Possibilities" to give my Face my "Inside Feeling" back to my "Look outside" I hope you can understand what I mean! 😉
It's NOT my thinking to look like a "Youngster" anymore - but I don't like to see every Day the Sadness and the Tears of Years in my Face if I look in a Mirror!
And your Video give me a lot Informations what the "New Aesthetic Surgery" could do for me...if I'm able to find a Doc, a quiet great and nice Specialist who can help me in my Situation I will be happy for the Rest of my Life 😍😉✌💖!
There is nobody, no Man or so, behind me who will ( or CAN !) "trigger" me - I need this just for MYSELF 💔💖 !
I love how educational and how respectful those videos are! Keep em coming it helps many women and men
WOW... Thank you! I'm sold...I'm alot older than Kim K. but the before after are remarkable. Defining the jaw line, lifting the neck and pulling away the nasal folds, this is exactly what I'd like. Look forward to your LIVE facelift procedure. If you need a candidate.. I'm available.
probably the best educational video on the subject, this is probably a must watch for anyone to have a basic knowledge on the subject. Thank you.
🙏. Feel free to share the link with others!
This was fascinating, thank you. I'm planning to get a DPFL in about 8 years, and I'm starting my research now! I have trigeminal neuralgia, so nerve exposure and the risk of further damage terrifies me, but I just need to find an excellent BC surgeon with lots of experience. I'd book with you if I lived in the states!
Great video! Thank you so much Dr Linkov!
What a great presentation, explaining the various ways perfection can be achieved. Currently in Calif., but coming to you for my procedures. Wow!
TY for the extremely informative video. I’m in my mid 50’s now and seeing all the usual signs of aging develop. This video really helped me decide that a face lift probably isn’t a good idea for me. I’m definitely in the “risk averse” crowd. I had upper and lower jaw orthognathic surgery for an anterior open bite and severe TMJ issues about 15 years ago. I was also experiencing Trigeminal Neuritis from the TMJ issues!! I can only imagine how much scar tissue there must be in my mid face around all of the plates and screws and around my mandible that would seriously complicate any of these procedures. Not to mention there is no way i would risk damaging the nerves. That Trigeminal nerve pain was a life altering level of pain and not to trifled with!
Hi Dr. Gary, I just want to thank you so much for I have learned so much from you. Hi to you also Lorry, love your videos.
💜 Dr. Linkov-
You are BY FAR my favorite surgeon on CZcams! Probably just my favorite surgeon in general, actually.
Thank you for such great and QUALITY content!!!
I am only 30 and I have been doing my research for about 6 months now on facelifts. Due to genetics (thanks mom), I naturally have deep nasolabial folds and dark under eyes. I have been using LOTS of filler for the last 5 years now and it has gotten to the point of starting to look unnatural. I am wanting to get a facelift for this reason. Of course every person I tell this to thinks that I am crazy because of my age. However, why should I have to wait until I’m 50 or 60 to feel and look good? I would love to hear your opinion on getting a procedure like this at my age.
I have been researching surgeons (I am in the Seattle area) and that has been super stressful. If I had the money, I would be calling you for my consult and to book my appointment, no questions asked!!!!
Trusting someone with your face is so scary.
I hope to hear your thoughts on this!
Thank you again for all of your quality and informative content!
You are just simply amazing💜💜💜
Very very informative and interesting, really loving all your videos!
WOW! So informative. Thank you for making this very detailed video Dr Linkov ❤
Dr Gary has an otherworldly beauty
This was very helpful to understand the lifts. Thank you.
omg this is the best-explained video ever! thanks a zillion!
This was absolutely fascinating and so informative. Thank you for this video.
This is such an informative VIDEO! Love your channel. I always learn something from your content.
Thank you for this excellent video and the thorough explanation of the different kinds of FLs, what they achieve and the risks involved. There are so many methodologies and techniques out there. For the layman, this video pretty much covers everything one needs to know. The sample real life 'models' given by Lori for each type of facelift, is an added bonus. You have my thumbs up for this. 😍
I was about to take a nap its hot in South Africa, then a notification popped up am like hell no!!
Its 19h24 Central African Time.
Keep the great videos coming
That was very informative! Love you both 👍
As a nurse of many years, I appreciate your way of teaching/explaining things. Your voice is also very nice. Have you ever taught classes, or thought about it?
Great lecture which I was looking for, appreciate it.
This is so exciting to watch.
Dr. Gary this entire vid ✨s m a s✨ I love the combination of the artistic ability and science!!!!
Absolutely fantastic video. Thank you!
thanks so much for this comprehensive explanation! Having work done soon, and this helped so much!
Great video and nice collaboration.
@28 secs Dr. L 's head model reminds me so very much of my Invisible Man, one of my favorite childhood "toys."
You look so pretty without makeup, such a gorgeous natural soft face. Look good made up too. Love the video huni x
It's fantastic to have access to this kind of knowledge and explanations without having to be doing a medical degree.
Thank you 😊 sooo much , this is going to be so helpful .
nice one, thanks for the extended lecture.
Hi Dr. Gary. You remind me of Professor Xavier from X-Men.
This is an incredibly informative video! Thank you!
FANTASTIC VIDEO Dr Gary and Lorry, loved ur detailed explanation Dr Gary, ur a really knowledgeable guy :)
Thank you so much for these crystal clear explanations!
Very interesting point about "beveling" the incision at the hairline, and it seems like suturing might be the most demanding portion of this face/neck lift procedure.
So excited for this video!!
Dr. Can you explain why many surgeons recommend facelifts BEFORE menopause? I would think that the decrease in bone density, increased skin laxity, and increased fat loss would minimize the success of surgery? Love your videos - they’re so informative, but manageable for the non-medical crowd to understand.
Also, how does scarring work near the ear/face juncture on skin that’s darker than Fitz 2?
Interesting. A facelift only lasts about 10 years, so I’m sure many women are getting them after menopause. I was planning on waiting until age 60-65
Impressive educational video. Thank you!
Thank you for the wonderful and very useful info!!! ❤️❤️❤️
🤔💎🔥PLEASE do a video about facelifts and procedures for BALD MEN……! Since we wouldn’t have hair to hide a lot of the scarring in lifts…. What would be the technique used and options?
How long would a face lift typically last.. you didn’t give a time range!!!!
Great video as usual!!!! I’m following the FUE transplant of the gentleman you just completed! Great work
Thank you Gary. That was great.
Loved this!!! keep these coming.
Just gotta find the time!
