How to fix broken sun visor on 2014 Nissan Pathfinder

- The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder is a car that looks nice and drives well, but in my experience, the car is cheaply made- and as a result, things break and snap off or just fall apart all the time. Both of our sun visors have broken in different ways. In this video I show how I macgyvered/fixed the passenger side visor. My fix was unorthodox, but it worked and cost me .$57 cents instead of $124!

Just fixed my Nissan Frontier with this technique - worked great! Thanks for saving me $200 from the dealer. It's probably stronger now than it was before.
Thats what I'm facing..my Nissan frontiers passenger visor broke at this same place.. this clip is garbage. I replaced it once before with one that i found on ebay for $20 but can't find it this time or lease not one that looks decent.
Have you since replaced the visor or did this fix it long term?

We have a 2012 Altima and inside the visor broke, they want $300 for a new visor. I guess that's how they're staying in business, making cheap parts and charging big bucks for replacement.

my 2014 Murano is starting to have a problem, it clicks when I open and close it. My 2006 Murano had the one where it would just flopped down. I got a new one at a salvage yard
Instead of recalling them they simply installed the same damn POS on the 2015 Nissan Altima. From what I noticed it’s also in the Murano. Nissan knows the problem and the extended warranty company is telling us it’s a “wear” issue so they won’t cover it. This is ridiculous how a company can continue to install the same defective parts on all their vehicles.

Wish I had watched this before I bought my pathfinder. Now what about if the inside corner of the visor is broken and not visible.
Mine is broken in the left hand side of the visor itself. Inside of the cloth visor. I have replaced 3 visors and now the dealer tells me the new visor is $174 plus washer that is $16 and charge to replace it.

Damn...we found the visors for 50 bucks through Amazon when my wife still had her 2014 platinum. And we had to change them both in 2017.
even the mounting screws seem to be self tapping and become hogged out after removal did u notice that ? good mcgizer mod !

I also have 2014 Pathfinder. Not very impressed. The rubber liner that goes underneath the roof rack side attachment is coming off slowly and hanging by the side of the car. My local dealer says I have to replace the whole roof rack assembly that would cost me $800-1000. Any simple ideas? Thanks.

I wish I had known about the sun visor and drivers side inside door handle before I bought mine. Really disappointed in Nissian for allowing such poor quality.
What!?!? I had both things break on mine and even with the best warranty neither are covered. The door handle is considered cosmetic I'm sorry how is being able to get out of your car not a, necessity
I have this pathfinder too. Its also junk. Two windows fell off track. Trans replacement. 50k miles. Now my visor broke too. Only my actual visor cracked near the pivot. I’ve also had the foot pad replaced due to a broken rivet. They replaced the entire interior because it was one piece.
Did your mirror light up and if so how does that connect? I have a 2014 Nissan Morano and the visor is shot. I have a feeling they used this scrappy part in several 2014 models! Time to light some fire under Nissan's butt and have them send out a recall!💩
I agree. Had a maxima I bought new and loved. Bought a brand new 2014 pathfinder and it is trash.
I HAVE A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH THE SAME ISSUES. MY DRIVER SIDE VISOR BROKE IN HALF AND NOW FLOPS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE EITHER.

I had the same issue with my 2005 Altima, wouldn't recommend any Nissan.
Same goes for 2013 Altima and along with several other problems. I will never buy another Nissan as long as I live.
sun visor was the first thing that broke in my Altima. Nissan's design flaw.

file a complaint with the NHTSA and see if it starts the ball rolling on a recall.., this is a serious issue that results in lose of visibility while driving. My current driver's side visor is hanging down so far it almost completely restricts my vision, so I have to drive with one hand on the wheel and the other on the visor, smh. I have the same problem. I would never recommend this car. Everything in the car is lousy.

I have a 2015 and its a piece of crap. Nissan should be out of business especially from their service. They literally sell you a vehicle and not honor the warranty.
