      What kind of material are you cutting out that makes the stiffness in the sunvisor is that a plastic?

      I have a 1989 Corvette and the two sunvisors are not very well so I’m thinking of rebuilding them or buying rebuilt ones what is your suggestion?

    Thanks for another lesson from the master. The old visors from the Trans Am are just cardboard, they will be re-done with chip board. I just replaced the window in a canvas top, I looked for a video from your channel but didn't see one. I took my time since I only had one chance to get it right and smiled when I headed around the last turn and headed down the home stretch. What a teacher you are, professor. Thank you for being an inspiration.

      @@monkeeladee8638 That depends on the design of the mirror. Some are simply laid in like in this video. Others have to be disassembled by opening the clamshell-type plastic visors.. Once you start to pull things apart it should become apparent how the rest comes apart. You can do it!

    Great job,but what if you don't want the stitch to be visible? I'd like to recover my visors so that they look like the original ones. REVOLUTION!!

      Hello Peter, Thank you so much! If you don't want a stitch, you can just use contact adhesive glue, not the stuff in the spray can. The stitching will keep things tighter though. Please keep watching!

    Great job!!! I've watched several videos on how to do this, but your way is so much simpler and cleaner than all those other videos!! LOL, I did an old truck's visors as they were hanging down falling apart in my face. They look terrible, but they weren't in my face anymore!! !! LOL But after watching this, I think I can redo them and make them look decent! A big thanks!!!! Question, what walking foot machine are you using? Looks nice, and you do such a great job with it.

    When you fold it over if you use a wood dowel rod it gives you surface to roll it over or use your existing wires screen makes it easier to Ben hoefer your scores

    Just realized that if the backside is flush all around after you glue the material down & fold it over that it can be glued instead of stitched. Just have to use some really good glue so it doesn't separate down the road.

    What are you using for an adhesive? Looks like it works great! I just started reupholstering for something new to learn and I’ve been having troubles find a decent adhesive for fabrics.
