Probably the most underrated Bob Seger song ever!
One of my all-time favorite Seger songs. He was at the absolute peak of his vocal abilities when he recorded this.
I was 13 and my older brother loved Bob Seger.
I was 14 yrs old. Was and still am a big fan of Bob Seger.😏
The amazing Alto Reed on Sax. He was THE rock star in this band. Even Bob says so.
Alto Reed was a very talented musician, and even though his main instrument was the sax, he was actually a multi-instrumentalist. He also played flute (during live performances of "Mainstreet"), guitar (on the live version of "Wait For Me"), organ (on Seger's remake of CCR's "Fortunate Son", also seen playing organ in the video for "Roll Me Away", as regular Silver Bullet Band keyboardist Craig Frost, was busy playing piano), and percussion instruments, such as in live performances of "Her Strut", and while Seger wrote the songs, Alto did much of the arranging, including the horn sections on Seger's "Night Moves" and "Stranger In Town" albums; for instance, that's Alto Reed arranging the horns on this song. Not to change the subject, but other musicians on this track include Seger himself on rhythm guitar, Drew Abbott on lead guitar, Chris Campbell on bass, David Teegarden on drums, Robyn Robbins on organ, Doug Riley on piano, and Brandye on backing vocals. Back to Alto Reed, he did a great job with arranging the horn section on here! Regards.
Playing the baritone saxophone here.
My favorite Bob Seger song of all time ❤️

One of my favorite Seger songs.
I got SO excited when I saw you reacted to this tune, I don't think anyone has and it is such a great jam!!! I'm a HUGE Seger fan and Stranger in Town is one of my favorite albums of his, although I could say that about all of them on any given Sunday ~ The musical arrangement of this tune is spectacular as is his vocals, always ~ Bob is a master at stopping......and then starting the music again, often with a transition ~ Thank you for reacting to and posting this hidden gem!!!
Love your enthusiasm on your reactions!! I was 14 yo...don't do the math, yes I'm old! Ha But I loved Bob back then and still love his music to this day!!!
Grit and soul! Man this guy can sing! Keep them coming my friend.

Some Seger
Great reaction to a great song 🎵
Thank you Billy for doing my request. I'm going to ask you to listen to Mainstreet also by Bob Seger
No joke this is my favourite song of all time, at least according to my Spotify streams. This song helped me through a lot and it sucks it’s so under appreciated. Great reaction
This took me back to the wheat fields swaying on the moonlit nights on the tailgates and the drive to the lake and me and my girl, Iam getting old now and she slipped away like the wind through the trees, hold on as long as you can, love, respect, forgiveness and perspective have made me a happy man
I remember when this album came out. And I srtill have it. Among all of the bands that I really loved back then, he is the one that seems to always make want to move. If you like this, then you really should check out more of his work from that era. And yes, Bob is short for Robert. But this is the first I've heard his name is Clark. I watched an interview a little while ago, and he seems very intellingent and warm to me.
One of my all time favorite artist and song. Thank you Billy. Now that’s a reaction! Have you done Famous Final Scene yet? I was in the army, 17, go to the PX on weekends, have a burger, beer and play this on the jukebox, Fort Knox, good memories and thanks again.
I was already work full time in 1978.
That happened at the weekend keg party at a farm in the 70s.
He has a lot of songs with saxophone.
When you have one of the best saxophone players in history in Alto Reed in your band you make use of his talents. Alto did so much more than just play saxophone. Bob always referred to Alto as their Rock and Roll Superstar. He stole the stage every show. Bob and Alto were together for decades and always seemed to know exactly what they both wanted in a song. Bob said he was done performing once Alto passed away. He said he wouldn't be able to perform without Alto on stage with him, they were so close. To Bob, Alto was irreplaceable in the Silver Bullet Band. Legends!❤
Up there with Night Moves
Please react to "I Cross my Heart" by George Strait
Billy, I'm basically a moron when it comes to electronics. Seriously, I called my nephew when he was deployed in Afghanistan for help...lol. Anyway, I sent you a song that is so relevant right now to your Instagram. Can you please react to it.❤

it would be a lot better if you would stop interrupting and just listen to the song, then give your review when the song is done.
